I had a very positive experience dealing with the Bullion and Coin Exchange. I've purchased both gold and platinum bullion from the Exchange, and always received my orders quickly, along with a tracking numbers sent to me in advance. (I'm 3.5 hours north of the Exchange in Oklahoma City.) So many people get frustrated when their bullion orders don't come in quickly, but they fail to recognize that a) there can be glitches in any delivery system, and that b) most precious metals are shipped with signature confirmation required upon delivery. (A consumer has to be both diligent and patient when purchasing precious metals to be delivered on site.) I myself don't care for numismatics, but know many "coin people" in Dallas who patronize the Exchange for collectible coins and other currency. All I've spoken to have had great things to say about their dealings. Their bullion prices are comparable to nearby "big boy" JM Bullion, and the service I've received from the Exchange was equally warm and friendly. (That's always a huge bonus.) Very professional. read more

Store only pays 92% on gold bullion, never seen such low offer on gold. Remember they also charge buyers premium. But you never get that money back read more

Went there, they said my silver was fake -- they said they would take my silver and throw it away for me. I went to a different place, I told them what happened, they did their own tests and said it was real silver. Be skeptical when going here (or anywhere). read more

This Gold and Silver Shop is my go to when I need precious metals. I've been going here for over 10 years WAY BETTER THAN Xavier Coins! Amazing Service always super nice and checks the gold and silver for you. Also charges very reasonable over spot for bullion. Amazing Value and great service. Have visited this shop many times over the last 4 years, previously thought they were a good shop to deal with. Yesterday I called them asking if they would buy silver eagles from me and was told no. Glad I called and didn't drive the 1/2 hour. I understand that they have the right to run their business the way they see fit, but whats the point in buying and stacking silver over the years to be be told no. read more

The owner, if that was him, was nice and seemed somewhat knowledgeable. The employee working with him didn't give him or me the time of day. He constantly walked away and refused to look at any of the coins. That, right there, ruined my visit. I took my coins and left and drove over to Four Nines in Gilbert which took four hours looking at my coins and bought some for almost $1,600! Also, you were only interested in melting my old coins down. They (Four Nines) weren't because they took the time to look at my coins and US mint sets. Your loss. Their win. You need a different employee who actually likes what he does and treats customers with respect and doesn't pay attention to you or the customers. I'm so sorry that you have someone like that who works for you. read more

Rude experience talking on the phone. not professional. Because of my interaction I decided to take my business elsewhere.

Nice local coin shop that is closest to me. I was mainly looking for bullion but they are more stocked in numismatics. They did have a nice little selection of bars and rounds for decent premiums. Will be back again in the future! read more

Fast and easy to sell my gold and silver to them. Paid spot price for my gold bars and silver coins.

I have known Tom for a long time. Have employed his counsel many times over the last thirty years. If you are looking to buy or sell precious metals or coins. This is the place. The staff has been an invaluable resource to me on so many occasions. Now for the secret... I like coin jewelry, so I buy coins from Bullion and Coin Exchange and take them to Skystone Creations down the street just a few blocks to be mounted expertly in silver. If you employ this strategy, you will save major bank. For instance, just recently bought a 1/10 oz gold coin from Tom for a smokin' price and had Skystone custom make an awesome pinky ring. Never mind the pendants, earrings, and other items that you can create using these fine two local institutions. Thank you Bullion and Coin Exchange on behalf of the countless people that you have helped! read more

Good prices, OK selection, if you're beginner in buying gold and silver coins, this is the place to go.

From all the positive reviews, I must have gone in on a bad day. Not much of a selection, and even less input from the saleswoman. Not a good experience in any manner. read more

Small family run business with prices comparable to online shops such as JM Bullion but very helpful and it's nice to support the local economy and see in person what you are buying before you do. Good selection of coins. read more

I came here to sell a little silver and am very pleased they pay fair for PGM(Precious Grade Metals). Service was friendly and polite and selection while small is beautiful. I went in to sell but also bought a BEAUTIFUL 2 OZ 3D pirate themed silver round. Buying prices are extremely fair and silver is real and pure. They have China Pandas, Canadian, US and really cool generic pieces of Gold, Silver and possibly others too. I will return! read more

Straight forward and good pricing. I compared my dealings with other quotes and resources. I recommend Bullion and Gold Exchange as a appropriately priced buyer with sold backing and good knowledge. read more

This shop is run and maintained very nicely! The staff is kind and helpful if you have questions while also being straight-to-the-point if you already know what you're doing. They check spot at time of purchase and their premiums are competitive, though I stopped shopping for better premiums cause I like contributing to this shop. They keep their website updated with current premiums, which is so convenient. read more

This is a fantastic shop that does not try and rip you off. I've been a regular customer for the last year and a half and I have always been pleased to do business with this establishment. The shop always charges a fair price over spot for silver and they are very decent, honest people. As long as I am in Arizona this will be the spot that I go to for precious metals. read more

What I like most is that they have been in a business for a long time, which should give you more confidence that they are honest and fair. I was nervous (being new to buying gold) but this place put my concerns at ease and walked me through the process of buying gold and silver. Since then I've bought several times from here, always a very nice experience. Highly recommend. read more

Dear business owner, I came into your store for the first time today looking for a specific item. You didn't have it but you did have lots of cool stuff and I had money I was willing to spend. Unfortunately (for you) I left without spending a cent, I will never return and I will tell anyone who asks what a terrible business you are running. When I asked if you would be willing to knock what amounted to less then one half of one percent off the price of something you chose to belittle me. Had you responded with a polite "no" I would have paid the price you were asking and I would have spent thousands of dollars in your store in the future. Instead, you laughed at me and had there been any other customers in the store I might have been embarrassed but luckily (for me, not you) there weren't. In closing, your business exemplifies everything that would turn a new collector such as myself off driving all the way to a coin store instead of just buying stuff online. It's in a terrible part of town. It's cramped. It smells unpleasant. It's "family run" (i.e. the woman behind the counter was holding an infant and eating food). I understand you have been in business for a long time but you are clearly surviving off an existing customer base and have no interest in cultivating new business or growing the hobby. read more

I called a few places looking for a round of bullion to stick in a card with my Moms present. Most said they had nothing on hand. I called Bullion & Coin Exchange 15 mins before closing, and was welcomed, sold more than I went in for, and felt good about it. Quick, easy transaction. Very secure, buzz in gates and a knowledgeable friendly businessman behind the counter. My Mom loved the coin, and said, if the apocalypse comes, she won't barter that one! Many coin/gold/pawn places can be intimidating, but I felt really safe and welcome here will definitely tell friends, and be back for some easy holiday gifts. read more

I have made three transactions now at the Bullion & Coin Exchange, and each one was excellent. In each case, the service was very professional but friendly. The person I worked with knew exactly what I needed, and in one case gave me some advice that saved me a lot of money. They also always have in stock what I am looking for, which is important when prices are fluctuating rapidly and waiting for a shipment could mean a significant loss of value. I always call around for quotes first, and in all three cases B&CE had the best rates. My transactions have been fairly simple, though, so I cannot say how large or more complex ones might be handled, but I would still look here first if I were in that position. read more

I have been a satisfied customer of Bullion & Coin Exchange for more than 10 years. Tom Clark, the proprietor, is an expert in his field. i have made several purchases from this store, going back more than a year. i used to live in mesa and at the time it was the closest location to me. when i made the move to the west valley, i continued to purchase my silver from these guys, because i knew them and trusted them. today i made a purchase of 10 oz. silver. i walked into the store expecting to purchase 11 oz, and had checked the spot price (35.00) before i began my 40 minute commute to their location. their store advertises 2.00 over spot, i had $407 even and was surprised to hear the gentleman (who i presume to be the owner) that silver was trading for $38 dollars today, as if it were a matter of fact. the gentleman did not bother to check the spot price as is tradition, with the internet never more than 11 feet away. because i have all but 4 oz of my silver at this location, i trusted that silver had made a $1 jump on my commute and purchased 10 oz. another 40 minutes later, i get back to my computer to find that at the exact moment my silver was purchased, spot price was $35. i got screwed $10. unfortunately, $10 is enough to make me never step foot in that store again. read more
