He is knowledgeable and quite personable which are the traits that I seek when I am shopping for a new firearm. I was never pressured into buying a more expensive item although that could have been the case. I left with a Taurus PT111 and couldn't be happier. Thank you Liberty Pawn! I was recently in a bind and needed some cash. The only thing I had of value was an Apple product - and I needed back the following week. I tried 2 places before finding Liberty. I went to a small private shop that held you to the 3 month term, not letting you pay in full early. Forget that. Then there is the famous Super Pawn...I hate them. Not only are they the most awkward people ever, they do not give you fair value for your item. Thankfully, I found Liberty. The staff was genuine, super friendly and honest. They take pride in their business and are very fair with their lending practices. A few interruptions in my service as other staff had questions or needed assistance, but helpful interjections from other staff as well. My only previous pawn experience was television's Pawn Stars show. I'm glad it opened the door to a new adventure. I purchased a diamond pendant of good quality for an even better price. Great customer service and the firearms they sell are better priced than any other places I have visited in Mesa/Tempe area. I purchased two Ruger LCP 380's with crimson laser, brand new, for 239 + tax. Other places will charge you 300+ without the laser! Their manager knows a lot about firearms and is able to offer advice that are sincere and practical (since you can't return a firearm, it's important to know what you are buying). 90% of the time I visit Liberty Pawn to just look at their firearm selections and I always felt welcomed even though at this point they know that I usually just go to look around. If you are tired of waiting behind the counter for 30 minutes at BassPro shop to be helped and want to save some money on your next firearm, I highly recommend this place. read more

I had a very nice diamond ring and 2 gold necklaces that I have wanted to sell for a very, very long time, but never thought I could get a fair price...especially from a pawn shop!!! I finally decided to take my jewelry in and at least get an estimate of what they were worth, rather than just assuming. I definitely did not expect much. I looked on Yelp and Liberty was the best reviewed pawn shop in my area. I called to ask about how the process worked. The girl I talked to - I wish I would have gotten her name - was so incredibly nice and helpful. This surprised me because I have always had a negative perception regarding pawn shops....If you've ever seen the movie "The Crow," you'd understand why! Lol As I was driving to their location, I accidentally pulled into another shop just up the street. If the girl I talked to had not been so sweet and patient with me, I would have probably just gone into USA pawn, but I had already decided I would only go to Liberty. The gentleman I worked with was also very nice and professional - again I am sorry I didn't get his name. The price he quoted me for the gold chains was almost 10 times what I had expected, so I had no desire to haggle. The diamond ring was a little different. He gave me a price that was way below what I wanted, but WELL above what I ever expected to get. We negotiated a bit and ultimately landed on a price that I was actually happy with. I'm sure I could have gotten more for the ring, but that would mean appraisals, meeting with multiple buyers, etc. I don't know if Liberty is really better than other pawn shops since it's the only one I've ever been to.
