Great place to sell your gold and silver. They are very helpful and a very easy process.

I deal with Jacob who is very knowledgeable & professional., enjoy doing business with him. !

I brought in a portion of my parents' coin collection and had a great experience. Since it was an inherited collection, I didn't have much background on several items. The staff immediately knew what everything was and explained it clearly. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and transparent about pricing. I felt I received a fair deal and traded it for 1 oz silver rounds. No pressure, just straightforward, honest service. I'll definitely come back again. read more

I have been there several times with inherited coins. I did my research and took notes before going there. Although they weren't interested in everything I had I always left feeling like they treated me very fairly. read more

BE VERY CAREFUL!! I was paid a fair price on the first few silver coins I wanted to sell and then wasn't paying close enough attention on 400 1965 Kennedy Half Dollar coins and was paid $4.50 per coin. Checked online and they should sell for about $10. read more

Everyone is very helpful and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend them. A great experience. Thanks.

This coin shop is hands down the best in the area. Jacob and Bill always are super professional and helpful. The selection is always spot on. and the prices are untouchable anywhere else. If you are sick of grumpy old men being rude at coin shops come give these guys a shot. read more

This place was crazy busy, but they had plenty of people working there. They have an outstanding selection of coins and knowledgeable employees who gave me a fair valuation of some old coins. I didn't sell to them, but may be back at some point when they aren't so busy to check out their merchandise more thoroughly. read more

1 star. Extremely disappointed. This shop lowballs sellers and offers far below fair market value for coins. They clearly prioritize their own profit margins with little regard for the people trying to sell. If you're looking to get a decent return on your collection, look elsewhere. read more

I had my wedding ring cut off a few years ago because of my finger swelling. I took the ring pieces to a pawn shop that advertised cash for gold. The offer I received was well below what I expected. I was referred to Xavier coins by a local jewelry store. Their service was excellent and they offered me more than twice the offer from the pawnshop. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a fair and friendly place to do business. And their coin selection is amazing. read more

What a nice and friendly place! The owner is friendly and very knowledgeable! Their prices usually beat the other stores. They buy and sell coins, ingots, gold and silver and sell all sorts of coins, etc. When I check prices to sell gold or silver, they are usually better than the others! I feel safe, at home and confident when I'm in their store that I will get the best deal. Check them out, interesting to see all the different coins and other goodies. read more

You get pretty fair deals when you purchase something, but don't expect to sell much, or get much, in the numismatic arena (even bullion collectibles, they only give spot price). Also, not impressed with the older guy there. He comes across like a pawn shop dealer and acts like he has better things to do. I had this platinum to sell and they kept scrutinizing it and looking under special microscopes and ultimately said they didn't trust it. I ended up getting it authenticated somewhere else and they gave me money for it. So there's that. Another experience I had was I had some foreign silver bullion and wanted them to check their authenticity with their equipment. Since they turned down the platinum I was worried about fakes. From the older guy we get a "we don't usually check that here." But they said they'd do it just the one time after we told them we didn't know. I suppose that was nice of them. It just came across real condescending is all. I'm sure they would check the authenticity if we were SELLING it to them, but as soon as they found out we weren't selling all of it they begrudgingly did us the "favor." Again, it's a good place to purchase coins and other neat stuff. Maybe my experience was uncommon, but I'm not wanting to go back because of it. read more

I called ahead to see if they would price match another retailer. Confirmed the price/quantity twice over the phone with the salesman. Drove 30 min one way. They now state they won't honor it. Drove home irritated, and now when I try to place my order at their competitor they sold out of stock in that hour timeframe. So not only did Xavier not honor their quote over the phone, but I lost out on a great deal with another vendor. To say I'm furious would be a massive understatement. I won't be back. The owner in response claims I only wanted 40 Coins. Why would I drive 30 min for such a measly amount? I explained I wanted to order 280 to finish off a monster box. But your theory is plausible, I could have (and should have) ordered online. Instead I'd drive that distance for 40 coins? The difference in price for 500+ vs. 280 quantity was $0.10/coin. Photo is attached for your reference. read more

I've been going to Xavier Coins for over a year now, they are extremely helpful. In fact, I was mentioning to one of the young men (didn't get name) that I needed to get a safe. He was able to hook me up with a great safe company and I had it installed a week later. He went out of his way to help me, definitely took an interest and was obviously listening pretty well. I go there to buy silver, they are always very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Great shop! Pleasure doing business with these guys. Gary read more

THESE PEOPLE KNOW THEIR COINS! Jacob and William have helped me on several occasions and purchased coins and offered free appraisal on coins I have offered to him for sale... on my way back today to sell a few more coins... I was impressed that Jacob and William and all the staff and owner, Bill Jernigan, are always very helpful and generous in sharing their knowledge... The store also offers training to young people in coin collecting. read more

My family and I have been buying from Xavier Coins almost exclusively for more than a decade. Their premiums are more than reasonable. They have a huge selection of collectable coins, bullion and more. What really sets Xavier apart is their willingness to educate their customers. I am still learning and they are always happy to spend the time with me answering questions. Tell Santa to stop by and grab stocking stuffers that everyone will REALLY appreciate!! Excellent!!! I don't know much about coins/currency. And from what I learned not many people on the internet know very much either. Tried Xavier off a recommendation from a friend who goes there often. When I walked in the store was pretty busy, that didn't matter. I was immediately greeted. I didn't get the gentleman's name that helped me but his customer service was on point. After a quick history lesson about the coins I had he offered me price for them which was way more than I expected walking in there. Quick, easy, friendly and secure. They have to buzz you in and out. I thought that was pretty cool. Oh and if you are look to buy coins/currency these guys had a ton of cool stuff. read more

I absolutely love some of these reviews. "They did not shine my shoes for free when I displayed my 1898 Barber Dime for them to admire. How dare they only offer a fair market price for it? And how dare they diss my fortune in pennies?" Seriously, I like this store. Except in this current market condition, their prices are very competitive, whether you are looking for 90% silver, a slabbed Morgan or a gold coin. I've sold and bought from them quite a bit. Believe me: they are probably the most competitive coin store in the East Valley. read more

Great honest local business. We recently had a family member pass and they had a ton of silver coins. We went through them all and were able to deal with Dick to sell them. He was fair and honest and gave us advice on other coins we had as well. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who needed to buy or sell coins or valuable metals. read more

I would not recommend going here if you want any sort of information/history of your coins. If you only want to know how much your coins are worth, than you've hit the jackpot. I went in with an 1898 Barber dime and some wheat back pennies. Had asked the young man working the front for any sort of information he could tell me about the dime. His response. "It's an 1898 barber dime, and it's only worth its weight in silver". That's the only thing he could tell me about it, or was willing to tell me. He just genuinely didn't seem passionate about his job or informing customers about what they have. No matter what the condition of their coins. read more

This used to be my one stop shop for bullion and rare coins. I'm not sure but I believe there's a new owner and he's running the place like a pawnshop. If you buy silver they charge you a premium per ounce and if you're looking to sell silver, they will not give you the market value or SPOT. Nope, they charge you a premium to sell your silver. When making money becomes more important than your customers, that will always be a losing bet. My advice, go anywhere except for Xavier coin. read more

Went in recently to sell my dad's collection. It took me 4 days to bring everything in. Everyone was knowledgeable and fair.

Haven't been by in a while, but have never been disappointed. The world coins are cheap, and absolutely wonderful for kids and crafts! The world coins are adorable just glued on silver ringbacks or used as game tokens. I have found a few of my favorite rings and pendants in their "misfit silver" bin. They just put the pieces you pick on a scale, and charge a small percentage over what silver is that day. They did/do have a bin you can ask for behind the counter of things that will be melted. Save it!!!! Hammer that Zuni ring back into place. It's sad how much beautiful jewelry gets melted Go to this place if you are in the area! You will not be disappointed! What better Christmas gift than a .999 Troy Ounce Bullion in your stocking! Better than gift cards or socks! **very safe and secure environment buzz in gates, and stools to sit while you look over the very large selection. Cool place to bring someone from out of town. Plan to spend some time and money, selection is the best in Arizona valley coin wise. read more

Dont understand how or why my review was removed. But dealt with a young kid who knew nothing of Lincoln pennies. Told me my collection is worth face value. Even said a few of my buffalo nickels were probably no more than a dollar together. So when I asked what they would buy in the Lincoln cent series. He said not much really worth anything maybe 1909 VDB and 1955 DD. So I asked what about 1969 S DD? He had absolutely no clue what that was. Said he had never heard of it and grabbed a book from the shelf and that booked was probably from the 70s way out of date. He said I dont see that in the book so probably not. At this point I'm over it. Stick with your gold and silver. from the reviews it kinda sounds as if your even failing at that. Your gonna need more friends and family to get a better rating. You wont make friends doing sleazy business and not having a bit of knowledge of the products you buy or sell. Also maybe try having a bit of passion for what you do. It really showed that your just in it for the money and it shows through your reviews as well. I hope this review helps all you other collectors that are in a tight spot in life and have to unfortunately sell parts of your collection. This is honestly not and truly NOT the right place. read more

I am not a coin collector. I went to Xavier looking for WW2 related currency and coin. The staff at Xavier were very helpful. They were quite knowledgeable and willing to share information with me. They have an impressive selection of currency, coin, and precious metals available. I will definitely return when I have more time to explore their inventory. I acquired a North African dollar and a Hawai'i dollar. They had Vichy France coins as well as Italian Fascist ones. They had German ones which I did not have time to explore. I also picked up a WW2 Chinese coin and one from Spain. read more

Extremely rude staff and coins priced way above their value, especially on silver!!!! We'll never go there again!!

We have been going there for a long time, and suddenly they will not check gold or content anymore... very disappointed. I complained to the worker there about them not being willing to check the metal of the bracelet I brought in, or the pin either... answer? ... it's not gold... I wanted to know WHAT the content/metal was ! We are in resale... and Xavier is not very helpful these days even though we buy coins from them... still no desire to offer service to me as a buyer. I sincerely hope they change their policy as it used to be a great place, and the owner, Greg, is nice. read more
