I was browsing my MindBody app for a Friday evening work out and discovered Mindful Space Yoga and…read moreMeditation. An individual class is $25. They have packages and memberships. I especially dislike that the packages expire after 2 months. Too much risk and no upside for me to invest in that when I don't live in the area. If this is your first time to the studio, they are located off Foothill and San Antonio in the same plaza as Sprouts and Red Devil Pizza. I was able to fill out my waiver ahead of time on the app, or you can come early and sign your waiver at the studio. On the day of my visit the receptionist greeted me. The class prior was late getting out so I got a quick tour of the studio. They had a waiting lobby area in front, cubbies and bathroom in the back. I like the the studio space is separated by doors so there is a more peaceful ambiance for the classes as others come and go. I took the Restorative Yoga for Healing with Debbie. I brought my own blanket to be cozy in restorative poses cause I am allergic to wool blankets and sure enough this place has wool blankets. They also have bolsters and bricks for you to borrow. This restorative class had students against the wall for some legs up the wall poses. I really liked Debbie's instructions. She was good with the emphasis on breathwork and reminding us to breath throughout the class. The poses were very restful and relaxing. Here's my issue though. The class description on the mind body app talks about Reiki. I attached the screenshot with my review. I expected reiki coming into this class. I even had a conversation with the receptionist about reiki. So during the first few poses I was surprised the instructor wasn't coming around at all. Then I thought maybe she's going to do it all at the end during our shavasana... but nothing. What the heck... This feeling is like I paid for a garlic shrimp and got a tasty shrimp dish with no garlic flavor. Like THIS ISN'T WHAT I PAID FOR. This is no offense to Debbie but this is a management flaw. Update your information if it's changed. There are a lot of other restorative classes on Friday evenings in the area and the other ones even provide optional aroma therapy to deepen the stress relief. I liked the class fine but I don't like not getting the service I paid for. That's called false advertisement. I should have left feeling super relax but I left feeling super annoyed about the lacking reiki service I expected coming to this class. Also the promise of the reiki is the reason why I booked this class over other restorative yoga classes that were cheaper. I feel pretty bamboozled!

I took a yoga class here with instructor Larissa. The studio is small, but since the class size was…read morealso small (around six students), there was still plenty of room to move comfortably. This particular class focused on yoga for back pain, so the movements were very gentle and aimed at relieving tension and tightness in the back. I really enjoyed the class and found it helpful. The only downside for me was the air conditioning. I happened to be near a vent, and every time the AC kicked on, a strong blast of very cold air hit me directly. I felt chilly for most of the class, and the cold air dried out my nose and throat--especially during breathwork exercises--causing me to cough a few times.

A truly transformative experience…read more I've been doing Gyrotonic sessions with Daria Kaufman at Om Sweet Om since the beginning of 2024, and I can confidently say it has been one of the most beneficial decisions for my health and well-being. I came in with a hip replacement on one side and arthritis in the other, and the progress I've made has been remarkable. Daria is not only highly knowledgeable but also deeply attentive to individual needs. Her approach is both gentle and precise, always focused on creating ease, strength, and balance in the body. Her guidance has helped me regain mobility and reduce discomfort, far beyond what I expected. Each session is tailored, mindful, and even meditative -- I leave feeling taller, freer, and more connected to my body. Om Sweet Om is a peaceful and welcoming space, ideal for anyone seeking healing, strength, and a deeper sense of embodiment. I cannot recommend it enough. --Paulo C. Chagas

I miss aerial yoga so much, but many of the studios I frequented closed down during the pandemic…read moresince the rigor of cleaning the aerial silks was not feasible for business. I was in the area visiting family and I needed a work out before feasting all weekend. I was so happy to see a Sky Flow - Aerial Yoga class with Michelle on Thanksgiving Eve. I've been to Fit Ritual Studio years ago, when they were on the opposite side of Claremont Blvd. This location seems to be more spacious so I'm happy for the business for being able to expand. I had a great workout with Michelle. She was so sweet and motivational the whole time. Aerial yoga is a difficult work out, and requires a lot of upper body strength to lift your own body weight up. I am definitely not in the shape I used to be in, but Michelle offered some alternatives if a student would like to do an easier version or a more advanced version to accommodate students of all levels. Such a great work out. I feel like the stretches are so much more deep with the assist of the silks. And the inversions really help release pressure on the spine. It just needs some getting used to if you're not used to it. I'm glad I was still able to do a few moves, but I hope I can get back into the shape I used to be in. I'll be keeping an eye out for Michelle's aerial classes when I'm in the area. This is definitely a place I would frequent if I lived in the area.
