The teacher training has changed the whole trajectory of my career! While I LOVE the studio, this review is specific to the teacher training. I've gotten every audition I've applied for and after about a month and a half of teaching my certification has already been paid for. I felt prepared to take a class right after my test out and even began teaching an a studio about a week later. If you've been thinking about teaching, do yourself a favor and get certified here. I have now been a member of SweatLogic for almost 5 years, and have taken over 1200 classes. I still look forward to going, and still enjoy the variety of classes that they offer. And the instructors are top of the line. They have recently added a members' lounge, which offers members so many tools for warm-up and recovery, and also red light therapy and a sauna. All free. I absolutely love this place! They are new and have satisfied me. They accept class pass which is how I went. I did Pilates and hot yoga and with no doubt felt pushed and encouraged here. Best Pilates studio hands down. I've gone to different ones but consistently come here because of how great the instructors are. I'm visiting my mom for a few weeks and was looking for a gym to come to while I'm here. The Intro Class special enticed me to come to SweatLogic and Vanessa's class is what lead me to purchase a 2 week unlimited pass. The TRX class this morning was fun and challenging. I made my husband join Sweat Logic because of their schedule. They have classes all day long! We have been part of workout facilities but had to find new ones due to moving or us just quitting. My husband loves this place! But let me tell you what I love. I love the community that the owner has created. And when I say community, I mean community! Check out their instagram to see what I mean. The instructors are so sweet, but ruthless in a good way. The other thing that we absolutely love is their commitment to working out. They were open on Christmas Eve, Christmas day, and the day after! And the same for New Years! Hubby and I love their commitment to mental wellness, cause the holidays aren't always easy for everyone, we love their commitment to physical health, because sometimes you just need that class to release food bloating or family stress, you know those family members! I took the Warm Reformer class with Vanessa and it was the best workout I've had in years! She makes sure that every movement is very intentional and not only helpful for your fitness but for your everyday movement. I felt challenged yet also encouraged by Vanessa throughout the class. The best burn I've had in years- now I know that the other pilates/reformer classes I've taken in the past I wasn't working out to my fullest potential. Ok, it's finally time for me to stop gatekeeping this place - I've been coming to SweatLogic since February of this year and I really love it! The variety of times and availability of classes make working out sustainable, and the room is heated so every class is extra efficient. Vanessa and the other instructors are so knowledgeable, and the studio environment is very welcoming and non-judgmental. I attend 5-6 classes a week and have noticed physical and mental improvements even without making any other lifestyle changes. If you're on the fence, I highly recommend signing up for the intro pass and trying different classes to see what you enjoy best! I was looking for a place to start taking pilates. My gym, that I never went to, didn't offer it. Other studios I checked first were expensive, and some didn't have good reviews. Someone recommended Sweatlogic. The cost is still a lot more than a typical gym membership, but lower than the other studios. I purchased a 2 week trial. I love everything about this place. The owner, Vanessa, instructs many of the classes. She watches everyone in the class to make sure the moves are being done correctly and safely. The classes are small, which is also a plus for me. I've taken the pilates, barre, and reformer classes and loved them all. There are a couple of other classes I haven't taken yet. I'm waiting til I'm in a bit better shape. The only "bad" (in quotes cause its really a non-issue) is the parking can be challenging, depending on what time you go since the studio is inside the Upland sports complex, but she's moving the studio soon so that may help. I give myself just a few extra minutes and it's been fine. I love Vanessa, the owner. She has made me feel so welcome and she is so encouraging. I feel like I'm working out with a friend, which also keeps me wanting to go back. Definitely recommend Sweatlogic! read more
