They finally scheduled plastering for May 24th but there was a cancelation and are actually doing it this morning. Out of this whole thing getting plaster done a week early after taking 4 times as long as they should have is the only okay thing to happen. Also I want to mention that even when they mess up or decking people mess up instead of just fixing it Ron acts like a Bully. He goes straight to threatening to sue you and tells you how he has lawyers and he's not afraid of going to court. In our case I think he knew we would win if we went to court so he ended up sending the decking people to finish the job. He also says he knows more than the city inspectors and we shouldn't listen to what they have to say Ron is definitely a bully and incompetent business owner. read more

Went to court today (October 29, 2020) and as I suspected Blue Haven Pools did not show up. The judge dismissed my case. Wasted my day because I had to go to court even though Blue Haven was paid in February. As it happened out of the 3 groups for the 1:30 PM court date today two of us were both sued by Blue Haven. This other group was also sued by Blue Haven for not paying their final payment. I talked with this couple after finding out that they were here in court because of the same Blue Haven Pools that sued me. They were counter suing Blue Haven for shoddy work and not finishing their pool. My wife and I thought about counter suing too but decided we just wanted our horrible experience with Blue Haven to end. They told me of their crappy experience with Ron and Blue Haven. One other thing I have to find out is if Blue Haven put a lien on my house. It seems like it is standard practice for Blue Haven to sue you for the final payment and to put a lien on your house. This other couple told me that they received some documents stating that Blue Haven was in the process of putting a lien on their home. So the upshot is, if you want horrible customer service, poor construction that takes over a year to not fully finish your pool (our pool started in 7/2018 and Blue Haven didn't finish but we made our final payment in January 2020), and at the end of your pool construction to be sued and have to go to court then by all means go with Blue Haven. But if you are like most reasonable people you would be smart to avoid Blue Haven like the plague (or nowadays avoid like Covid-19). read more

This Company is Terrible they installed my pool and deck. My plaster looks 50 years old all the contractors were mad at them for slow or non payment so they did TERRIBLE work, my spas edge has a terrible crack that looks like it could give away any day my pool lights have NEVER WORKED PROPERLY I asked for a back wash valve that I never got, they made my steps out of pool coping so now my guest trip every time we have a function at our home. My wife and I moved to Lake Elsinore a little over two years. After the first year, I pondered the idea of having a pool constructed in the backyard due to the lot size and because it gets HOT in Lake Elsinore. I entertained the idea and submitted an inquiry to Blue Haven Pools via Google. The following day, I received a call from Andrew and discussed the project with him. A couple of days later, Andrew made an appointment for us to discuss the pool with my wife and me, and took measurements of the backyard. A few days later, Andrew and Yukari came to our home to further discuss the project. The documents were signed, and construction began in August 2022. My pool was filled with water the first week of November, three months later. Three months is extremely fast. People that saw the pool were amazed that it was constructed in three months. Workers told my wife that people have waited six months to one year for their pool to be constructed. So yes, I would highly recommend Blue Haven Pools to anyone. This is the WORST place for customer service! I've had my pool for 2 years, and have had nothing but problems with it since it was installed. They've had to replace the motor TWICE, the slide leaks every time it's used, and the spa leaks constantly! I am constantly calling/ texting/ emailing them on a regular basis to get work done on it!!! If I don't stay on top of them, I'll NEVER hear from them again! In the process of having my pool built by blue Haven and the communication between builder and client is not there. I have to be constantly be emailing,calling and texting to get updates as to when contractors are due to come out to work. Everything is scheduled last minute or delayed weeks. Constant lies from office on questions asked. Too many complaints to list. I would not recommend this company to have your pool built unless the communication is fixed. Ron project manger/owner hardly ever communicates back or answers questions straight forward. Front office has been caught lying to me the customer. Fernando sales good but is may be the best one to get a hold of and replies to text but once sale is done has nothing to do with scheduling work and cannot provide any real help. Everything is a up sale which is expected with these type of purchases. Biggest complaint is scheduling. Nothing ever goes smooth. Errors on site and had to have corrections done as they go along. My contract was signed in nov 2020 and my equipment was just ordered weeks ago and now is stuck due to what I am told is a nation wide shortage by Ron. Not sure when my project will be worked on again. This would not be a issue since they knew I would need equipment months in advance. Sent numerous emails / text to get questions answered and delay in response. I could go on for days. I'm in too deep now to change builder so will have to see it through. Do your homework and make wise decision on who should build your pool. I would not have them do my pool if I had to do this all over. I have asked if they will meet the 4month time line noted on my contract and question to date has not been answered. I will seek legal action if that timeline is not met. Enough is enough. This company was supposed to complete my project in Aug 2020 and they can't even get their plans approved by the city. Their is no communication with Fernando Barcelo or Ron. I have to send about 3-4 emails out before I get a response by a Yukary from the office. I gave them a deposit and signed the contract and they're trying to keep the deposit as if I'm responsible for them not complying with their contract. Next, I'll report to the CSLB and their Bond company for breech of contract. Waste of time with this company. read more

Do yourself a favor and find another pool company. Blue Haven Pools' customer service is awful (except for the initial salesman). Tony, came to our house July 2020. He presented us with a great design and sold us on there product. we thought about and finally decided to sign with Blue Haven late Aug 2020. our contract stated it would take 59 days from the beginning excavation but Tony said plan on 3 months tops including Getting the permits from the city. After several weeks of no information we began calling several times to find out when the permits would be ready. In mid October, with no response from BH office we called the city and found out that Blue Haven still hadn't submitted our plans. with several calls to the company they finally submitted and they were quickly passed by the city. We thought now that the plans had been approved things would start moving but we were forced to wait again because BH stated there were 2 projects ahead of us. Finally on Dec. 24th two guys showed up to prep for the excavation. They began digging would disappear for a week or two then show up for half a day and then disappear for another two weeks. we never received any information from the office so we started calling everyone affilJared with the company to get some answers. We found out one time the crew disappeared because a positive covid test (I was never informed and had made contact with these employees) so should have been, once for a family emergency, and once because another job site the pool collapsed and they needed extra help to fix it. In the mean time months had passed and no contact from the field Sup Ron or the office manager/ scheduler Yukari. we would call and no one was ever available. The receptionists would ask us to leave a message and they would get back to us, yet we never got a call back. Several moths had passed and still very little progress. They took down a small wall at our patio and left rebar and pieces of block sticking out of the cement and did not inform the sub contractors to remove it. They also hit the side of our house and left a hole in the wall and ignored it until I began making a fuss about it. Finally when I emailed Yukari about the damage (may18th) she said she would reach out to Ron and get back to us. She never did. we tried Ron and he never answers his phone and his voicemail box is full so we can't leave a message. I sent her a text about 2 weeks later and she responded I don't do the scheduling for repairs. I then attached a copy of her email her she said she would get back to us and still no response. Ron stopped by yesterday to pick up a check but still no information on the repairs so we called again today, june 4th. Yukari was unavailable once again so we called her cell phone. Finally after 4 calls she answered and said Ron told her to send a chart of stucco colors. We got an email a few hours later. In the mean time she informed us that she still has to schedule the electrician and the gate inspection before she can schedule our pebble to be installed. Funny thing was on 3 weeks ago I called on a Thursday to ask for her to schedule the gate inspection. She wasn't able to come to the phone, as always, and the receptionist Gricelda, said they will be here on Monday. When Monday came and almost past I called to see if they were still coming. once again Yukari was not available and GriceLea lied and said they were going to call to confirm for Monday (which they hadn't). Several arguments occurred since I had recorded our conversation and had proof that she said the inspectors were coming Monday. The next day, I got a surprise visit from the city inspector and she passed our gate inspection. I immediately sent an email to Yukari(May 26th) so she could schedule the pebble since i know that everything takes several weeks with her. On June 1st 2021 she responded to my email asking me to send a copy of the job card because she only has a record of the city inspector being at our house on the 17th for the coping/ deck inspection. (SMH) I sent her the copy the same day. She spoke with my husband on June 2nd and said she would schedule the pebble and today she said she has to schedule the electrical and then the pebble after the gate inspection. He immediately sent her snapshots of my previous emails showing that we already passed the gate inspection. As I said earlier, do yourself a huge favor and go with another company. We signed our contract for a pool and spa that should have taken no more than 3 months tops and we are approaching 11 months and still do not have a completed pool, unrepaired damage to our house, and have had to deal with multiple headaches from the incompetence of Yukari, Ron and Gricelda. These people should be ashamed of the quality of work, especially their customer service. read more

Happy to say that it is back on track. After the pool equipment delay, that took a month, once it came in it was installed quickly. Electrical and city inspection was done this week and plaster and filling set for tomorrow. Happy to say the Blue Haven jumped on the project again after the delay. There is no doubt that my review is an accurate and true story, and I am sharing my experience with others to express an honest opinion on a matter of public interest. Soon I will publish evidence, documents, and photos in relation to my experience with Blue Haven. I signed a contract in September 2019, I have been promised that my pool and spa will be completed by Christmas 2019, I am in 2020 still I got 16 defects with the pool and spa. and many unauthorized jobs. Plus, the pool and the spa not functioning yet. I am sharing with you a few of the defects out of the 16 defects. 1. Leaking issue with the spa. 2. Unbelievably bad quality for interior rendering. 3. Wall Fountains issue. 4. Centre fountain issue. 5. Lightings issue none of them working. 6. Unauthorized job for the hard surface around the pool. 7. Alfresco and capping tiling miss lining with the pool area. 8. The Tiling job does not complete yet. Unfortunately, they always defend their mistakes, never admit their mistakes. everybody would like to send them all the evidence or want to see my pool and spa !!! please do not hesitate to contact me, I am more than happy to show you my pool and spa with all the defects. Salesman Rod Thomson entered our home on July 30, 2005 to sell us a pool. We ordered a game pool (3 feet to 5 feet to 4 feet). He went over certain items on the contract and also the drawing of where the pool was going to be placed, along with the depths. There was a question about excavation. Rod told us if we could get approval from the city to go through our back wall, the price would be significantly lower (approximately $4,700 - $5,000) as opposed to going through the side of the house. The reason for this was the equipment rental and labor costs involved in excavating through a smaller space. We said we would definitely try to get that approval. (We were, in fac able to secure permission from the City of Fontana to go through the back wall). However, we were told by Rod that Blue Haven is so good with their customers that they make it a rule NEVER to come back and ask for more money, unless they find a car during excavation so he was going to put the higher cost on the contract the cost it would be if we didn't get city approval to go through the back wall that way if we didn't get the approval, Blue Haven wouldn't have to come back and ask us for more money. So, the contract was based on the excavation going through the side fence (noted as fencing in the contract). Traci signed the contract and the drawing. Because we were able to get city approval to excavate through the back wall, we relied on the payment structure that was given to us (and signed by Traci) the day of excavation, as we assumed that was the final amount we owed. It is not the homeowner's responsibility to double-check Blue Haven's work. And, if mistakes are made it is definitely not the homeowner's responsibility to suffer the consequences and pay for the damages. Blue Haven Complaint Letter 2-2-2-2 THE ENSUING ERRORS Numerous errors have occurred since excavation all the fault of Blue Haven or their contractors yet they have attempted to bully, charge, and blame us for their mistakes. We have been forced to accept a pool we are not happy with, and we are now being told that due to yet another mistake by Rod we owe Blue Haven an additional $5,980.95, and they refuse to complete our pool until we pay the amount in dispute. Below is a list of Blue Haven errors that have caused us undue stress, anxiety and severe disappointment: We ordered a game pool. Blue Haven dug a regular 3' 6' pool because Rod wrote up the order BOTH as a game pool and a regular pool. Neither the construction office nor the sales office identified this huge discrepancy and ended up digging the wrong pool. When we confronted Blue Haven with this mistake we were told that it was our fault because we signed the contract, and that they were not going to do anything to try and rectify the problem they had caused us. They told us they didn't care if we sued them because they had an entire floor of lawyers. After three weeks of calling various Blue Haven employees and pursing our right to the pool we ordered, we finally found Sergio, who said he could fix the problem. So, more steel was added, the plumbing was relocated and more gunnite was poured. However, the depths still are not correct and we have expressed our dissatisfaction. Rod never told us that when the trenches were dug that Blue Haven would not pay to have our entire side concrete removed which would result in a different color concrete stripe going down our side yard once decking was complete. We were not given the advance notice that we would have to request this during trenching even at our cost. Had we known, we would have saved the money to have the entire concrete removed and replaced, to eliminate the ugly stripe. Rod told us that the indoor spa control HAD to be at the far end of our family room, otherwise our concrete patio would have to be cut into for the cable. The night before the electrician came to install the control Wayne told him we ideally wanted the control in the kitchen next to the sliding glass door. The electrician said no problem. When the electrician showed up he asked Traci where she wanted the control (never disclosed the fact that he was given an order where to put it). Traci explained what Rod had told them, and said that she would like the control as close to the slider as possible without having to cut the concrete. The electrician said he could put it on the other side of the window in the family room, which he did. After installation, Traci went outside to find that the cable never went into the concrete it was installed along the house there was never an issue of the concrete having to be cut. So, we had to have the electrician move the control, thus leaving an ugly hole in our wall that we now have to fix. read more
