More like worst pool service filled with a bunch of idiots who cannot seem to do their very simple feeble minded jobs. This service manages the pools of my condo association/community and I have numerous emails each month sent for the past year + of the same issues over. And over. And over again. Honestly, I don't know why this company even gets paid to do their job, because it isn't being done. Whether the water is low, hot tub is not hot, pools self draining, not clean (the pools were shut down by the health department under this sham of a company), or timers that don't work and waste community money because the hot tub runs 24/7. Prior to this joke of a company coming in, all pool equipment was replaced yet there always seems to be a problem. This company should be surcharged, sued, and put out of business for their professional (lack of it) negligence in attempting to clean/maintain a pool. Absolutely avoid avoid avoid. Ps. They cannot seem to read either, the work orders asking for maintenance and repairs are so simple a monkey could understand it. Disgusting that this company takes money from people, companies and hoas for their ineptness. read more

We hired them to fix a leak in the backwash lever and also to clean the filter They were very responsive to my initial inquiry and scheduled the service visit right away, like next day. I was told someone would call later that day to confirm what time the technician would arrive. I didn't get a call and almost noon the next day I called if someone was still coming. The person who answered wasn't sure but said he'd look into it. A few hours later, the technician arrived and diagnosed the problem. Then he said he would come back the following day with the parts needed. The one star I deducted is only because of the lack of clarity of the appointment. But the work itself was 5 stars and the charges were in line with the estimates. The technician (I think his name is Mike?) was efficient and did a great job. He was nice - we even exchanged bucket list travel destinations. (One of his was glass igloos in Iceland - now I'd like to experience those, too!) I wouldn't hesitate hiring them again. Updated review: The tech that showed up weekly was fine. He was helpful and informative about what he was doing. I needed a quarterly filter cleaning and they sent out a tech to do the work. He showed up without notice (I saw him on security cameras) and left shortly after arriving. I did not hear from anyone, so I called. I was told the work could not be performed because there was a crack in the filter housing. A crack I cannot find. They were going to get me an estimate to fix it. I told them not to bother, because I ended up cleaning the filter myself and still have not found a crack. I mention to them I could not find the crack and questioned if they had a photo. That's when everything stared going bad. VERY shortly after what happened in the previous paragraph, In about the middle of June 2023, we received a termination notice. It gave no reason and said they would finish out the month, and if we had any questions, please e-mail or call. I called and left a message four times. I sent at least three e-mails. After two and half weeks I received a voicemail. I was told by the account manager he had no idea why we were being cancelled and would bet back to me. That was two to three weeks ago and I have still not heard back. Their communication IS HORRIBLE!! Started off great, they even sent a photo of the days cleaning. That was the last time that happened. I feel bad about having to update my review to one star, and it's not the fault of the tech who routinely worked his butt off cleaning our pool, but seems to the management. Many years I've had pool service at my private home. Now I am chairman of the pool committee in an HOA. Best Pool Service is by far one of the better company I have used. The concerns of any pool owner is the clarity and the cleanliness. I don't think twice about my pool here at the community, Best Pools has it covered. read more

A technician came to my home Thursday June 8 and sent me a service arrangement the following day to fill out, which I promptly did that day (Friday). I was told service could be strip promptly. I didn't get a reply of any kind to my email by the end of the day the following Tuesday, so I sent the tech a text message. I received a message the next day that the tech was out sick- no problem there. But, I was told that someone from the office would reach out to me that morning. That never happened. I then followed up yet again several days later (now two weeks out) and was told the office manager would contact me. I responded that I'd already sourced another service. I can't see how a service like this could be so non-responsive and delayed. Don't they want to make money? I think their home service business is new compared to commercial business they already have in place and do not give much priority or consideration to home customers. I would stay away. It's honestly difficult to find a high quality, reliable, and responsive spa service in north Orange County. read more

My pool is shut down for remodeling. But when it's done will have them back. Adam is amazing. I owned a pool business for 33 years now retired. I thought I would never hire someone to do my pool. We have a house we go to and r gone a few months a year so had to hire someone to chem stop it. Came back no algae and Adam took very good care of it. When you have your company blasted all over your truck it is not smart to drive erratically. I had to call 911 on the 405 north because this car truck cut me off then hopped in the carpool to cut off another car. I eventually got in front of him where he paralleled me in the carpool illegally sandwiched between two cars. Then got in front of me and break checked me. If you drive like a jerk chances are your service is crap. I hope you get pulled over. read more

We were with another company when we were told that Best Pool was taking over. We have been really happy with our service. Two months ago our heater broke and we contacted them to see what they could do. They sent out Kevin to come talk to us. He was the first guy that actually knew what he was talking about and was able to help us get a new heater, install valves above ground that are controlled by our phones and also figured out that we had a gasket leak in our pump that allowed air into the system. He even suggested we convert our pool to salt water. We are so happy with all of the work that has been done. We will definitely be recommending them to our friends and family. read more

After Using Two other Pool Services over the past 18 years, we were fortunate enough to meet the owner of Best Pool Service, He came over to the house looked at the pool answered all our questions, and started that DAY!! He actually cleaned the pool himself the first time, every since then like clockwork his service tech not only cleans the pool but also maintains and cleans the equipment weekly. They treat the pool as if it was their own. We have never had any problems of missed cleanings, or skipped due other reasons. Owner is extremely unprofessional. Very cocky in his communication with his customers and does not stand behind his work. He bidded to patch several areas of plaster at our pool which started to flake off after just one day. His response was that the pool needed to be completely replastered and that there was no warranty on his work and that it is only going to chip off more. Why would someone bid out on a job that they don't think will last for one day. Decksides strategy is to use a ton of chlorine in your pool and spa so that they don't have to do much service on the pool itself. You can only spend a few minutes in a pool serviced by Dockside as your skin becomes itchy. When this was brought to the owners attention, again he stated that the customer is wrong and he is right and that level of chlorine is normal, even though all our other pool companies agree that it is more than needed. They nickel and dime and do tons of "preventative maintenance" or maintenance on things that "might fail" Whatever they quote you, expect to pay three times that. read more
