Ive been bringing our twins to Dr. Jung for the past 8 years, and the care has been outstanding from day one. Dr. Jung is not only knowledgeable and thorough but also incredibly kind and patient with both kids and parents. He takes the time to listen, explain, and make sure we feel confident in every decision. Just as important, his staff is equally wonderful--always welcoming, organized, and responsive. From scheduling to follow-ups, they make everything run smoothly, and we truly feel like part of the family when we walk through the door. Our twins actually enjoy going to the doctor, and that speaks volumes. We're so grateful to have found a pediatrician and team we can trust completely. Highly recommend! read more

I've been bringing my kids here for medical services for over 12 years now. I cannot express how thankful I am for the staff and their all-around care and professionalism. All the physicians are the cream of the crop, and I want to give a special shout out to Dr. Jung and Dr. Lindsay. They have gone above and beyond for my kids, and they are extremely funny. The location is great and in the heart of Spring Branch - off Gessner and I-10 - though that area can get congested at times. The parking is easy and there is a skywalk from the parking garage to the clinic building. Lastly, having worked in healthcare myself, I know how important a smooth billing operation is. Bluefish's billing operation is top notch, so kudos to the billing leadership and staff. Assuming my kids get married and settle in Houston, I would greatly recommend that they bring my grandkids to Bluefish Pediatrics! read more

The doctors at Blue Fish Memorial are amazing! I have seen most of them over the years with my two sons, and I am continually impressed by their level of professionalism and expertise. My nephew was diagnosed by one of the Blue Fish doctors with a genetic heart condition that is extremely rare to diagnose, Asymmetric hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. It is the most common cause of sudden cardiac death among young people. This doctor, quite literally, saved his life with her thorough examination and level of questioning. Additionally, my son had his appendix rupture today, and the doctors at Blue Fish caught this and sent us straight to Texas Children's Hospital where he had his appendix removed this evening. I cannot say enough about this group of doctors! While the wait time is sometimes a little frustrating, it is definitely worth it knowing that these doctors are thorough and knowledgeable. I highly recommend any doctor at Blue Fish Pediatrics Memorial! read more

My kiddos have been coming here since they were newborn. Back then, it was amazing-- couldn't have recommended it highly enough. Everyone has always been nice. Office is way too busy and crowded though -- taking 12 weeks (3 months) to get wellness appointments is disappointing, inexcusable and frustrating to say the least. The final kicker to this poor review was that they are so unorganized and unprofessional that they put the prescription with the wrong kiddo. Seriously? They got my kid mixed up during the appointment??? When the other one wasn't even there? In addition-- When I asked for a 2nd option as a potential diagnosis-- because I just didn't believe my child's history added up to the doc's diagnosis/- the doctor got offended. To clarify-- this was not my kiddos normal physician, but another physician in the office. I'm just disappointed-- they just didn't either care or don't mind that they are so busy they don't give a darn. BTW-- did ask another doc about her symptoms-- he scoffed at their diagnosis. Never did get the prescription and she doesn't have what they said she did. We all make mistakes-- but disregarding the parents' discussion is a HUGE mistake towards any diagnosis. I just can not recommend Bluefish anymore. Sorry. read more

Nurse with flower tattoo on wrist was very rude ‼ While waiting she said my sons name so as a norm we got up. As we stood up and walked towards her the expression she had on her face was not welcoming and when confirming my sons name, we answered & her remake was "umm NOO!" (with an eye roll) ok, no big deal there's more than two children with the same first name, it happens. The second encounter I had with the same nurse whom had a floral tattoo"half sleeve" on her wrist shared the exact same facial expression towards me once again. Our nurse checked our vitals and my son had a high grade fever, after checking his vitals the nurse walked out. I then followed and requested if we could get Motrin to decrease the fever while we wait for our Dr, the not so friendly nurse with that half sleeve gave me this blank stare and rolled her eyes as if I was bothering her to give me medication for my sons 102.9 fever. Maybe she was having a bad a day but for her to constantly give paying patients a look of disgust is beyond me, do better Blue Fish Pedi. granted our nurse who helped up us was amazing read more

Blue Fish Pediatrics Memorial - Pediatricians Near Me - Houston, Texas

Completed their new patient forms after getting marketplace insurance as we lost our prior insurance. Listed 5 doctors we'd like for a primary care doctor. Called first and was told to complete the forms. Got an email asking for a better picture of the insurance card which was immediately sent. 2 days later, got an email that none of the doctors were accepting new patients even though the insurance website said they were accepting new patients. I called the receptionist when I got the rejection email and was told none of their doctors were accepting new patients. I then tried to leave a message with the office manager and could not as the inbox was full, so I let the receptionist know that they should not lead people on and tell them that doctors were not accepting new patients. I am wondering if they just don't want patients in marketplace plans. I spent about 2 days researching doctors, responding to bluefish email requests and only to get rejected. I told another parent in my child's class about my experience with Bluefish and they said they had the same exact experience with Bluefish Memorial and Greater Heights a year or so ago when they were looking for a new pediatrician after moving to town. I suppose you can be accepted if you have company provided insurance but their participation in the marketplace plans that they have signed up for surely doesn't mean much. Look elsewhere. Quite upsetting and quite disappointing customer service experience with these guys. Don't waste 2 days of your life like I did completing forms, sending in insurance cards etc when it was first naught. read more

I joined blue fish pediatrics in September for my 10 month old. At the first appointment it was a busy morning but all of the staff was friendly & informative. Dr. Zeng was very personable with my little guy. Today, my little one woke up sick so I called the office right when they opened. I was surprised when they said they had a 9:50 appointment available from a call placed at 8:30 in the morning. I expected a long wait since it was a last minute squeeze in. Upon arrival, there was only one other child in the waiting room and we were called to the patient room within five minutes. Our entire visit with Dr. Zeng was complete and I was in the car driving home by 10:35. As a new mom, this gave me such peace of mind to have a better understanding of what was going on with & how to care for my little one. Thank you Dr. Zeng for your insightful knowledge and thank you staff of bluefish for getting us in so quickly. Very happy to have my little boy be a patient here! read more

We have been coming to Blue Fish since 2018 and I love it here. Dr. Hall is amazing and even when she was away the rest of the doctors and nurses were so sweet and accommodating. The rooms are always so clean and the techs are always so pleasant and warm. I recommend this practice to all of my friends with small children. Blue Fish definitely makes you feel at home. read more

Dr. Lindsay is amazing and so easy/fun to work with. The front office staff are kind and friendly and always able to work with you. We unfortunately have to find a new doctor since we moved 45 min away and it is hard to get over there now. Dr. Lindsay, you and your amazing staff will be missed! read more

I've been coming here for the past 7 years for all 3 of my children, and I absolutely love it here. The facility is very well kept and extremely clean. You can smell the fresh linen scent from the Lysol that they spray consistently which is actually really nice and not too overwhelming. There are two separate waiting rooms for the well and sick patients. The office staff are very nice and professional. They're not pushy or rude in any way, which I really appreciate. The nurses are incredibly sweet. They always have a smile on their faces and do their best to make sure my children are comfortable and happy. The doctors here are amazing. My children's primary pediatrician is Dr. Brack who is absolutely wonderful and amazing. She's very thorough, gentle and sweet. My children love her! I've seen the other doctors as well (Dr. Jung, Dr. Torn, Dr. Lindsay and Dr. Pielop) when Dr. Brack is not in. They're all wonderful, caring doctors! If you have an emergency and are uncertain what to do, they do have a doctor on call for after hours. Also, if you have a concern during regular business hours, you can call and leave a message and the nurse/doctor usually get back to you very quickly. The only problem I would say that I've encountered here is the wait time. Sometimes it does take a while for the doctor to see us, but they're very busy and do their best to accommodate all their patients. read more

Moved to Texas a couple years ago and found this office for my son. Texas Childrens was not in my Anthem Blue Cross plan so I came here. I first lived in Cloverleaf TX now Greenspoint and both address were over an hour away because I believed I may have found a good place for my son. We would ofcourse visit for wellness checkups and come in when he was sick. There is a sick and well side. On the sick side the "toys" avail are two scratch pads that barely work. I started to bring his own toys no problem. His doctor "Lusk" was always nice. Only once did we have to see another doctor who was also nice. The front desk staff always seem distracting and have poor greeting upon front desk walk up. I wasn't detected by front desk because the doctors were made up for their lack of greetings. Recently my son had a fever and had to stay home from daycare. I was unable to work being the primary caretaker and his father lives in another state. Ofcourse sick days are not approved by my company to care for family and I needed to have the pediatrician complete an fmla form for the unpaid days off I had to care for my son --job security and all. I submitted the form twice and both times the form was submitted incorrectly and ofcourse denied. I spoke to the office and today Marina informed me the doctor didn't feel comfortable completing the dates for care. She said the doctor examined him to be fine for school because he didn't have a fever when he came in. The conclusion was that I should have brought him in while he still had the fever no medication and done this for everyday he had the fever. So is you ever need to care for your child. Be sure to bring them in everyday of their sickness, no medication and pay no mind to their discomfort as you drive them to this office. Marina also made the call uncomfortable with a bit of attitude stating "if you had called, we would have told you over the phone". No matter I had called several times, my number is on file and I sent TWO emails! The first response I got was an argument about me having to fill out the doctors section of the form. It's definitely difficult to find a doctor these days even for myself that have patients best interest. read more

Omg I have died and gone to pediatric heaven!!! I wanted to find a new pediatrician for my daughter and my newborn baby boy. My OBGYN gave me a list of doctors to look at so of course I yelped each of their practices and Bluefish had great reviews. I called Bluefish to make an appointment and was told I had to apply online and be accepted into the practice. I was super impressed by this. I applied online and was contacted within the week with information. The doctor I requested wasn't taking new patients and I would have a better chance of getting in with one of the two new pediatricians that will be starting on Sept 1st, Dr. Hall or Dr. Lusk. I called a few days after my son was born last week and asked if either had accepted us and I was told our new Pediatrician would be Dr. Lusk and she could see both my kids the following day. We get there great office and staff were suberb!!! A lot of paperwork to fill out but that's typical of any doctors visit. It's very clean and tons of things for the littles to play with. We were then called back and put into a room. Here is where my heart melted! Dr. lusk came in with the best energy and not to mention she is classically gorgeous. She hopped up on the exam table right next to my 3 year old like they were old friends. She talked to her on her level and immediately established a bond as equals, I have never seen a pediatrician do this and to me it made a huge difference and really let me know she understands the best way to communicate with kids. She took great care of her and then spent time with our newborn. She told us so many informative things that blew my mind. We left with a plan for each kiddo and new information for their health and wellness. I will follow Dr. Lusk to the ends of the earth she is beyond incredible and so is the practice!!! read more

Our son sees Dr. Pielop at Blue Fish and we love this place. We would, and do, recommend Blue Fish to our friends. Timely - We have had very minimal waiting times for each of our appointments, and a couple of times have been seen a bit early! Clean - The office is clean, and there is a separate waiting room for sick children. Friendly - The staff has been very friendly with us, helped us reschedule, helped us with prescriptions and insurance. Knowledgeable - Dr. Pielop is very good at his job. Besides the normal baby stuff, our son experienced severe trauma at 8 months old and we felt very comfortable with Pielop's examination, advice and encouragement after surgery. We have also seen Dr. Jung on a weekend and he was equally professional, kind and great to work with. read more

PROFESSIONAL AND KIND. Petition for medical record of 12 years ago and it was sent to me within two days. Dr. Jung kindly got the old file from storage and swiftly fax to me in San Jose California. I appreciate professionalism and organization. Furthermore, KINDNESS make my very first time giving a review. Really thank him and his staff for the hard work. read more

Blue Fish Pediatrics in Memorial is absolutely the best. We just moved to Houston from Michigan and boy has it been a challenge. Moving with kids adds a whole new element! We visited another pediatric practice and were less than impressed. This office was fantastic to work with! Dr Pielop was welcoming, took his time answering all my questions and really seemed to care about my son. He took the extra time to fully explain the practice and went into detail about the area! He took the time to make my son feel comfortable which with the hustle and bustle of Dr.'s offices is really rare. Awesome practice and I highly recommend this practice to other families! Top notch! read more

Our experience here has been phenomenal. They always make time to see us. The option to have a same day drop-in is a life saver with an infant. Our PCP is Dr. Torn, but we've also been seen by Dr. Lindsay. It seems you can't go wrong with the physicians here. read more

My daughter started to see Dr Torn from post birth. I love this place. Clean, friendly, efficient. The only thing they need to improve is the ability to make appointments a year out for yearly checkups. I've sent many friends and colleagues to Bluefish. read more

We've been coming here for 5 years and been with them since my son was born. We originally were with Dr. Clarke but then he moved. Dr. Lindsay was our next pediatrician I'm the office. He's very patient with my son. The nurses are top notch as well. They make vaccination time as smooth as possible even with my wiggly shot hating son. I've had several different Dr's during his sick visits and I have liked them all. The have seperate sick and well rooms for visits which I appreciate when my son is coming for his checkups. read more

WHAT CAN I SAY ! They are sooo amazing with kids, you would think " Duh, they're pediatrics" but NO they go above and beyond my son gets excited to see the Dr. , and we've only been here twice! I really cannot write enough positive things about this practice. We are first time parents (and are very anxious about baby's health and well-being) and we have been thrilled with the level of service, depth of knowledge, and overall treatment and care of our baby. My husband calls Dr. Pielop a warm blanket - he has a wonderful presence with parents and gives very practical advice. It is obvious that he enjoys his work and is very experienced. I have been recommending this practice and Dr. Pielop to all of our new parent friends! read more

I took my granddaughter to see Dr Lindsey to check out her cough. He was very thorough in explaining why she wasn't going to receive an antibiotic. He took his time with us. His nurse was also very attentive and thorough. The office staff was friendly and helpful. The only complaint I have is the phone service but even that is nice in that they tell you where you are in line to be answered. It would be nice to have a button to push for directions to the office since their are several buildings in the Memorial Herman complex. read more

Wonderful practice. Dr. Lusk is very sweet and amazing with our son. Most importantly she is very thorough and we always leave feeling very confident and healthy! read more

I wasn't here for my child. I was waiting with my sister and her newborn for his appointment. While my sister and her son went to the back, my daughter and I sat in the waiting room. The staff behind the counter were watching videos on their phones and on their computers and laughing. They just kept looking up to see if I was watching. After about 10 mins of my daughter and I sitting here, the girl behind the counter asks if I needed something. This is a professional place and I feel like it's not appropriate for them to be sitting on their phones while people are in the lobby .. I don't know anything about the doctor on staff. The office is clean and has toys for kids but I wouldn't come back here because the front office team lacks professionalism. read more

Blue Fish started out really good. It has since turned into a very bad office. We have been trying for 3 months to get our son the care that Dr Wallenmeyer has suggested. The office staff is calling us and asking us what the insurance code(s) should be. Dr Wallenmeyer is only concerned with whatever is in her growth chart averages. Caring for the patient is not her or the office's concern. When the care provider has reached out to Blue Fish Pediatrics to inform them of the insurance codes needed, Blue Fish refuses to speak to them. So I'm at a loss. I have a child who needs help. I have a pediatrician and office staff who are not helpful or empathetic in any way. So as far as I can tell, they're just not worth paying anymore. We will be changing to a different doctor who has already offered to get our child in as early as next week. Seems super simple apparently the doctor and office staff simply have to actually know what they're doing. read more

MOMS OF INTACT BOYS, BEWARE!!! I have taken my newest baby to the CYPRESS location 3 times now. While the office itself is great and there is never a wait, I am highly disappointed in the doctor we saw. My son is not circumcised, and Dr. Mucher is very misinformed on intact care. She manipulated his foreskin to check his retractability and instructed me to do the same at every diaper change and bath. I have an older intact son as well, and know this is not correct. My baby's most recent appointment was yesterday and as of today, nearly 24 hours later, his penis is still red and it looks like there may actually be tearing in the foreskin as a result of the forced retraction. Thankfully he does not appear to be in any pain, but I am highly upset that this is even an issue and my son will not be going back to this doctor. read more

Just started coming here with my newborn. So far, I've had 2 appointments and they've been quite enjoyable. I haven't had to wait more than 15 minutes for each appointment, and I've actually been late both times. :/ oops. Amazing! I used to drive from Cypress to the Memorial City location (before they had a Cypress location). Worth every mile...and traffic jam on 290. You do have to wait sometimes but they spend the same amount of time with you so it makes up for it. Our regular doc is Dr. Torn. Love her but have probably seen each Dr. there. All are on the same page. Love that they don't over react to anything and immediately send you to special therapy if the kid is a tad behind on something. read more

Excellent weekend flu shot clinic. Fast, efficient, and most importantly, the staff are great with the children. A special kudos and congratulations to Nurse Kat (Cat???) for keeping our panicked 8-year-old daughter feeling safe while she was getting her shot with her detailed and distracting conversation about the videogame Minecraft (one of our daughter's favorite things)! We practically had to sedate our daughter to get her to the doctor's office, and after meeting Kat, she now won't stop talking about her and wants more shots! Fortunately, she has the booster and the Covid vaccines to look forward to in the coming weeks. Maybe we can specifically request Kat to do the jabbing? The physicians at the Memorial location are all fantastic, too. Our daughter has been a patient of Dr. Lindsay since birth, and he's wonderful. When a shot isn't involved, our daughter actually asks to go because she likes him so much! read more

The doctors at bluefish Pediatrics are exceptional, however, at times, other medical staff May seemed disorganized. My son and I were left in a patient room waiting on results from an in office test. 40 mins later, I received a called from cvs saying my sons prescription was ready for pick up. Mind you, I am still in the patient waiting room. I leave the room and approach the front desk and explained that no one ever came back to give me test results but Cvs called so I guess he has strep. The burst response was they called your phone, they thought you left. Left where?? Who leaves with a sick toddler and no diagnosis? No one ever came back to the patient room and when are you dismissed with out some type of conclusion or instruction? The MA kept saying, they called you, there was a miss communication. I couldn't believe I was left in the patient room. They called my phone but never walked back to the room. The reception was horrible so I didn't get a call. read more

Love the cypress location. Dr. Yu is amazing. She really takes the time to answer each question....even the stupid ones :) And she remembers you and your family and how you do things. She has only met my husband once and tells me very time I come that she looks so much like him. All of the staff members have been so amazing, every time we have a doctors appointment they greet you with a smile. Just kind people. My wait time is never more then 10 mins. and they have even gotten me in last min when my baby was sick. All in all this is a great, clean place and I would highly recommend Blue Fish and Dr. Yu to any new parents or even veteran parents! :) read more

Dr. Suyearn Yu refuses to see unvaxed children. She has spoken against chiropractic care and the dangers of chiro right in front of my children- causing them fear and terror to go back to our wonderful chiropractor. Fortunately, our chiro is gentle and kind and won them back over with no delay. Dr. Yu is a focused doctor, but focusing on something else while seeing my children. She's one of those who wants to be efficient while keeping one hand on the door knob and the other hand with an instrument looking into my child's ear. She has the potential to be a really good doctor if she would be entirely present during her patient interaction and if she would be informed and educated about the dangers and life threatening risks of vaccines. If vaccines were safe, I would allow them. Her close mindedness about both sides of this vaccine issue is preventing her from being a doctor who I would ever trust again. read more

After our longtime pediatrician retired we knew that we had to find another Dr. Our insurance company listed this practice as one that takes our insurance and it seemed to have excellent reviews. Initially when I called, I asked them a specific question about something. I told them that I had a negative experience and was just wondering about something, so that was my reason for asking the question really. We had no problem getting an appointment, but the Dr that we chose declined to see our child and did not give an explanation, according to staff. We were then asked if we could see Dr. Clarke and we agreed. The office was clean and very well decorated. We probably only waited 5 or 10 minutes before we got into the exam room. A tech came in right away to take my child's weight and other basic information. We waited a bit more for the Dr to come in, probably 15-20 minutes. We didn't have any issues with the Dr except that he seemed to be pre- occupied and acted like he didn't have time to answer questions at times. A little while later the Dr called to follow up about my child and the issue we came in for. He also mentioned that he wanted to discuss another issue. When I called back he not only asked how my child was doing but was also very rude to me. He got onto me in a very harsh manner about the question I asked the staff member that first time I spoke to them. I was almost in tears because of how I was talked to. Why the staff member was going and telling him what I asked is a mystery to me. I felt that I was confronted, and chastised, and to me that was not professional behavior. The Dr mentioned that if I did not like something then maybe their practice was not the one for us. The Dr was absolutely right because we all agreed that this practice wasn't the right fit after that phone call. The Dr was rude in my opinion and I have never been spoken to by a Dr that way before and the staff should not have repeated what I asked. I just felt that the staff were rude , because to go back and tell the Dr what the patient's relative asked and say that they were fussing a lot was not professional behavior, in my opinion. Also calling up a patient's family member and getting ugly with them isn't professional, either. When someone gets ugly with a customer or patient's relative, that reflects on the entire business or practice. We decided not to go back to this practice and have found another doctor. Hopefully we have found the right fit this time. I am glad that others have had good experiences with this practice. I found the practice to be clean, brightly lit, and well-decorated though. read more

Blue Fish Cypress I usually don't bother with writing reviews but I think that it is important that I inform potential clients of the care that I received from Dr. Suyearn Yu and the Blue Fish Pediatrics staff. I recently brought my 3 month old daughter in for a "sick visit". Her symptoms included fever (100+), decrease output, and severe nasal congestion. Dr. Yu was not available, so I was to see another physician (unable to recall the name). Although she tried to convince me that symptoms were minor, she left me feeling uneasy when she made the following statement "I'm second guessing myself". I returned the following day (again charged a copay) to see Dr. Yu (my preferred Pediatrician). She, too, down played my concerns. I politely and calmly stated to her that I was unhappy with the services that I received, and instead of inquiring about why I was unhappy, she said "okay" and walked out the room. Approximately 1 week later, I received a certified letter from Blue Fish indicating that our relationship will be terminated in 30 days. I definitely feel that this office is all about the Mighty Dollar and not the health & wellness of children. It saddens me and I just thought that anyone considering using the services of Blue Fish Cypress should be made aware. read more

Dr. Eddings at the Cypress location is amazing. She listens as well as shares her personal experiences with her children. When our son or daughter won't sit still, she does the exam where they are, be it our lap, on the floor, or standing on a chair. She does an excellent job of addressing our concerns, without us feeling judged. They're fantastic about being accessible when on call and frequently follow-up to see how the kids are following an illness. read more

Absolutely love this practice, espcially Dr. Jung! My now 12 yr old son has been going to him since 2002. Actually, it was Dr Jung SENIOR we saw back then! A few years later Senior retired and Dr Jung and Dr Pielop became partners and they moved to the building they are in now... All 3 kids see Dr Jung. All of the doctors at this practice are very caring and have EXCELLENT bedside manners. They are also very responsive when you call after hours. One time, my daughter (2 yrs old at the time) had her first asthma attack at midnight on Saturday. The on-call doctor walked me through the steps of how to handle that and asked me to call her back in an hour to update her. I fell asleep and didn't. The next day, she called me to check on the baby. read more
