we had a lovely lunch in this cozy spot at the cherry hill mall. there are many Turkish and Mediterranean specialties to choose from, we chose a shrimp entree and a falafel sandwich. the server was polite, friendly and efficient, and the food came out promptly. we didn't feel rushed at all, at lunchtime it's not too crowded. everything was fresh and flavorful, while eating, we made plans to return either for their 'breakfast for two', or a dinnertime visit for another specialty from the big oven in the middle of the room.

I'm disappointed I didn't catch our waiters name but was the best! He was super nice and attentive. We shared the fried halloumi appetizer and it was sooo delicious. The pita bread they give you with the olive oil and seasoning to add as much as you want is a great touch. The desserts were all super delicious as well! We shared the chicken Adana and that was really well seasoned. The two items that I felt lacked some salt/ flavor were the bulgar wheat and the Greek tzatziki appetizer we got. The bulgar being bland wasn't so bad because I ate it with the chicken and other sauces so it blended in fine. However, the tzatziki appetizer felt like a waste of money as it was really bland and didn't contribute much to anything. But regardless, had a great meal!

Ambience is relaxing. Table is clean, chair is comfortable. Server is friendly and attentive. Food ordered: Roasted mushroom - cheese on top is soft but stretchy and not salty. Mild flavor so you can taste the star of the dish, the mushroom. The mushrooms are cooked perfectly, not soggy, not raw. They are juicy. I added some of their spice and herb seasoning that was on the table. Liver - a little coated and fried topped with loads of fries. I had a little hard time getting to the liver cubes underneath, trying not to make a mess. The liver was cooked well, no complain. You will see oil on the plate and think it's greasy but this is normal and it has the seasoning and flavor. You simply use bread to pick up the liver and dip it on the oil. Mantı - they are like tiny ravioli. With yogurt and red sauce (from red pepper paste?). It's a little too aldente for me and would have liked it just a tiny bit softer. But it's fun to eat. Kids may enjoy it for sharing. As a left over, it was much better. Mediterranean drink - this was the star on my table! Delicious! I was full because of this. You can taste all the fruits and with the ice slush mixing in my mouth, it felt like I was on vacation again. The glass is tall and I could not finish it. But I'm not arguing about the size, it's perfect! Water - yes, ice water. I enjoyed it because it's not tap water. It complimented my food really well, the way it should be paired. Çay - Turkish tea. Gave me a mini pot which I did not expect. I thought I was getting only 1 serving of the small tea glass, which is how it's usually served. Definitely a +++. It's a little light for me because I like it stronger but still çay. I'm happy about that. All in all this place is great, solo or with company. Will try other menu items on the next visit.

Feb. 22, 2025 We are always up for Mediterranean cuisine and finally managed to make our way here to the Blue Fig Garden. Very friendly service with great Mediterranean food... what could be bad? We shared some hummus (as always) and a roasted beet salad with feta. Both dishes... fantastic! My wife had the chicken kebab and I had the lamb kebab. Both dishes came with potatoes and asparagus. Kebabs often serve the meat 'well done', but both our kebabs were done medium... well maybe the chicken kebab a bit more, but my lamb was as good a lamb kebab as I've ever had. Since this also a BYO... I'm sure we'll be back when we're in the mood for Mediterreranean food.

Unfortunately they missed the mark today. This could be a one off experience, but our experience was very sub par. We were here for lunch at around 2pm, a little late lunch. The place had few tables filled but it was not fully packed. We got seated immediately, but then it went downhill from there. We waited more than 15 mins for our server to come and ask for water. The order was placed and it took more than 30 mins for it arrive, which was surprising as the place was far from being full. In fact the service was so frustrating that we complained immediately and then they changed the server. They acknowledged their service and gave us free coffee, which I appreciate. Food on the other hand was to the point. Cooked perfectly. We ordered adna kebab and chicken kebabs which were delicious. Unfortunately the service did spoil our time. The place claims to be classy and the décor is sophisticated but service was our soar point today. Hopeful the management takes a notice and improves their service.

My son took me there to celebrate my birthday! We both ordered the Blue Fig Signature Mix! It came out on a cutting board, 1 lamb chop, a mound of rice, mixture of vegetables, asparagus and zucchini with 2 shish kabobs! One was chicken, the other was beef! Then there was a strip of meat they call Adana! I started first with the lamb chop! OMG!!! Delicious! Tender and full of flavor!!!The chicken and beef was delicious also! We also ordered a non alcoholic drink called the Arnold Palmer! It was so pleasing to the eye, that people coming in had to stop and ask what it was! The taste was just as pleasing! Like a lemon flavored tea, but better! Ambience, warm and cozy! Definitely going to return!!!!!

Some of my wife's foodie friends met up here a few weeks ago and she was pretty sure I'd like it, and she was absolutely correct. Being in a mall I didn't have high expectations but this place knocks it out of the park! Great selection of dishes, ambiance and incredibly good service make it a win-win-win situation. I ordered chicken kebabs with crispy French fries; my wife went with the falafel version accompanied by bulgur, Both were superb with just the right amount of seasoning. What really got us excited however was the panoply of desserts awaiting us. Our server helped us select our sweet indulgence much in the same way a sommelier assists with wine. In short, we were delighted with our choices and will be going back to sample more soon!

A hidden gem part of the Cherry Hill Mall. This mediterranean restaurant is not only gorgeous inside but the staff is extremely friendly and the food is phenomenal. I've gone several times and tried multiple dishes, each exceptional and delicious. First time I went was for Iftar during Ramadan and it was a spectacular experience I've never had at any other restaurant before. All of the staff has always been friendly, especially Khalid who was our server once and offered suggestions and chatted with us greatly. Highly recommend coming here for lunch, dinner, or even just snacks.

The inside is absolutely gorgeous. wow wow wow . The food is good, I cannot say it's the best mediterranean food I've ever had but it is still so yummy. The calamari was delicious but lacked that crunch I love. The moussaka tasted delicious- that is my favorite mediterranean dish ever. The phyllo rolls were good but not the way I expected to see it - it reminded me of a cheese egg roll. The complimentary bread was soo soft and weirdly enough my favorite thing we had. The fig and cheese pizza was my boyfriend's favorite and it tasted good.

My Mom had been craving some good lamb chops for some time and we finally were able to make it to Blue Fig. Everything was amazing and wish I had remembered our servers name, she was awesome. Took wonderful care of us. We started with mango juice and beet, goat cheese with avocado appetizers. The presentation was spectacular on everything that was brought to our table and delicious. I had ordered the beef kabobs and Mom got her lamb chops finally. Cooked how we requested and was so flavorful (as were leftovers the next day!) Looking forward to going back soon.

Had a solid experience! Blue Fig Garden is located at the Cherry Hill Mall. The food is zabiha/halal with a prayer area for guests. It's absolutely beautiful inside with coastal blue hues amidst gold. They have an array of desserts and turkish coffee (made in sand) nicely displayed behind a glass wall. The service was excellent. Our waitress was kind and patient. We had a misunderstanding with one of our orders and she accepted it and returned the item. They present the check in this wooden box which was unique and a testament to the details of the restaurant. Food is what you'd expect at a standard Turkish restaurant. I didn't find it exceptional. Good but not mind blowing. Both the chicken cubes and steak cubes were a bit overcooked but nevertheless, the garnishes that came with it were good. The cheeseburger is a double patty and was excellent! Branzino was flaky but lacked some salt. First time trying Pachanga Pastry which is filled with Turkish pastrami roasted red pepper and cheese. Kanafe was light and soft! Turkish kanafe is different than Palestinian kanafe so this was a new experience for me. Loved it, took some to go too! Would come again with a big group! Glad we tried it!

Restless little ones blocked the entry, setting the tone for my overall Saturday evening experience. That Norma's is popular, there can be no doubt. We had no reservations, and felt lucky to snag a table. The place was bustling, servers had their hands full, we were obliged to be patient until ours arrived. I love Norma's menu -- my partner is vegetarian, so Mediterranean works great for us. I went the veggie route as well, starting with a lentil and ckickpea soup that was hot and savory and the high point of my meal. Other appetizers we enjoyed were the spanikopita and the cheese manaeesh, second to none. My veggie skewer was perfectly charred yet light. After such a promising start, then, our entrees came as quite a disappointment. My partner opted for the falafel salad, and while Norma's falafel are indeed superior, the salad was a bit of a mess, too ... wet, diluting the dressing, leaving runny runoff on the plate. But the greatest misfire wss the mixed kabobs entree I ordered. Everything about it was underwhelming -- these are signature items that should be stand+outs, but weren't. The kabobs were just okay, lacking in appeal, resting on a bed of rice that was unremarkable except for how cold it was. I suspect my plate had been held too long. I know they would have fixed it had I asked -- but seriously, I was up to *here* with all the kids. While I was eating, a woman behind me gathered up her gaggle of tots, squeezing out of the way to make room for a baby carriage the size of a Volkswagen. Does Norma's deserve a second chance? Sure. Next time, I'll stick with the appetizers and stay close to my wine glass lest the kindergarteners in my vicinity cause my nerves to fray.

It was a chance to refresh from the heat and grab a bite. With all the choice of restaurants, we did not choose well. The three of us were in there almost an hour to have lunch. Two of us ordered the shrimp kebab entrees, one ordered the chicken kebab. It took almost half an hour for those to come out. The shrimp plate had only THREE shrimp! For $21. The chicken plate had FOUR small pieces of chicken. Service was terrible and the food was just OK, although the vegetables were good. The surprise came when the bill was delivered. They do not provide change!!! If you pay a $61 check with a $100 bill, or any bills greater than the amount, you get nothing back! They just presume that's what you want to tip! I never heard of such a thing. We didn't have a lot of small bills with us after shopping at the festival, and had not expected such an absurd policy. So we paid as they requested, with exact change to meet the bill. The waiter got himself a 96 cent tip. No manager was available to ask why there was such a ridiculous policy. None of us would ever ever ever go back to this restaurant ever again. There are so many good restaurants over there, my suggestion is to try anywhere else.
