Stepping into freindly welcoming Blue Fig Café [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere is beautiful indoors and outdoor festive cafe style celebrates the flavors and beauty Mediterranean food and cultures of Greece Turkey Lebanon & Egypt[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. The creamiest smoothest hummus owith the toasted warmth of perfect pitas. The vibrance of parsley and paprika topped with olivew. Perfectly marinated and grilled Shish Tawook complimented by a mint lemondade cooler !! Oh this is a forever keeper. After taking a break as tI treated myself to the Turkish tea and flky layers of sweet walnut cinnamon baklava plated on a blue vibes ceramic dish. My artistic appetite is the duo of fork and paintbrush. Deliciousness!!

Tajen Kufta Plate. Good but could have used more flavor. The meat was kind of hard and dry

We ate here not too long ago and it was amazing. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The service, the ambiance AND the food were all amazing[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] BUT......... We came back with our 7 year old son. It was 4:15 pm. They brought out our appetizer and soup. Then a little while later they brought out mine and my fiancé's entrees. Then nothing...... they hid in the back on their phones. What a disgrace. They forgot to cook my 7 year old's food. After 20 more minutes and all of our food getting cold they brought out burnt chicken. No manager on site no and they never came back to ask how anything was. So disappointing, really. We will not be back and that's a shame since we really liked it here.

    Menu that wasn't followed

I hate when restaurants just don't follow their own menu. I ordered 2 things shish kabob lunch and halo cheese fried. The steak was cooked really nicely and flavorful. But I don't think this plate is worth $16. Teaspoon of veggies 1 tablespoon of salad. No sauces unless you tell them I guess. As for the Haloum cheese. It says on the menu served with tomato basil and pita wedges. I got none of those things ????

The Good: clean ambiance , nice traditional menu, delicious fresh juice and friendly service. The Food: meh... it was all tasty but it was all kind of bland and regular. It was nothing to write home about, no WOW factor. I have had plenty of Mediterranean food that was packed with flavor and this just missed the mark. The lamb chop was very good and the Haloum cheese was okay. The bad: The lentil soup was bland the sauces were also not flavorful. The kabobs and grilled veggies were also not great in flavor just grilled and smoky. All in all we appreciate that it was halal and we did enjoy the meal it just wasnt our favorite or exceptional.

Really Branzino but they call it Sea Bass

I usually don't leave reviews but Blue Fig is worth it. Just finished dinner. The food was amazing! So we started with halumi cheese and falafel appetizer. Lentil soup was delicious. Dinner was lamb chops and branzino. Wonderful. Blue Fig is really good and worth trying. I give it 4.5 stars. Check it out

This is the best middle Eastern food around. Everything is good. Recommend the special, the foul, and the barak. The best stuffed grape leaves around.

Very little seasoning. Too expensive to be so bland. I got the mutabal, shrimp, hummus and chicken. All mediocre. Will not be returning

Walking in the restaurant wasn't busy at all and it was pristine. There were plenty open tables and no line so I was able to order quickly at with ease. All of the toppings for the bowls looked delicious and absolutely fresh so I made my own concoction with chicken schwarma, super greens, brown rice and literally 10 other toppings including lentils, tzatziki, cucumber salad, olives, couscous and a partridge in a pear tree lol. Soooooo many options all delicious. They also make their crispy pita chips to order so I added a portion to my meal and happily waited the 2-3 minutes for them to be dropped and fried to the perfect golden crispy consistency. I also got the cucumber mint refresher which was sugar free and refreshing! My entire meal was delicious and I'm honestly thinking about the next time I'll be able to go back because it was not just a yummy lunch but pretty healthy overall minus those pita chips ;) Oh and the customer service was wonderful as well.

I eat pretty plainly, so I only had rice with some chicken and a "glob" of hummus. (There were MANY other toppings!) I wasn't t crazy about the chicken seasoning and it kept repeating on me. Again though, not my favorite fare no matter where from. The chicken I had was very tender; the rice was cooked perfectly. I wont be a patron here, but if you like Mediterranean food, you'll probably love this place!

Meh Mediterranean in a daycare setting…read more Before I even reached the door, the walls of a crying infant arose from a family dining al fresco at Norma's in Cherry Hill. Restless little ones blocked the entry, setting the tone for my overall Saturday evening experience. That Norma's is popular, there can be no doubt. We had no reservations, and felt lucky to snag a table. The place was bustling, servers had their hands full, we were obliged to be patient until ours arrived. I love Norma's menu -- my partner is vegetarian, so Mediterranean works great for us. I went the veggie route as well, starting with a lentil and ckickpea soup that was hot and savory and the high point of my meal. Other appetizers we enjoyed were the spanikopita and the cheese manaeesh, second to none. My veggie skewer was perfectly charred yet light. After such a promising start, then, our entrees came as quite a disappointment. My partner opted for the falafel salad, and while Norma's falafel are indeed superior, the salad was a bit of a mess, too ... wet, diluting the dressing, leaving runny runoff on the plate. But the greatest misfire wss the mixed kabobs entree I ordered. Everything about it was underwhelming -- these are signature items that should be stand+outs, but weren't. The kabobs were just okay, lacking in appeal, resting on a bed of rice that was unremarkable except for how cold it was. I suspect my plate had been held too long. I know they would have fixed it had I asked -- but seriously, I was up to *here* with all the kids. While I was eating, a woman behind me gathered up her gaggle of tots, squeezing out of the way to make room for a baby carriage the size of a Volkswagen. Does Norma's deserve a second chance? Sure. Next time, I'll stick with the appetizers and stay close to my wine glass lest the kindergarteners in my vicinity cause my nerves to fray.

We had the cold sampler which was very tasty. I don't know everything I ate but I did enough most of them. The hummus was my favorite. I had the grilled sampler because I just couldn't decide on what to get and I was very happy with my decision. The salad was a nice fresh accompaniment to the meal. I have no idea what it was called, but the one that was slightly spicy and had a similar flavor to a Mexican salsa was a surprise and a delight. I loooooooved the fluffy bread that was served to the table. Fresh, steaming hot, and the perfect utensil for testing out the dips. I'm not sure what it was called - it wasn't a pita, I don't think, since it was much lighter. But 10/10, no notes, give me 14 of them. I was craving beef, so I went for the shish kebab. Hands down, one of the most memorable I've had in a very long time. So tender. I loved the perfectly grilled vegetables. I absolutely loved adored the rice - so well seasoned, light and fluffy. Finally, baklava. I would say this was my only disappointment. The serving was miniscule. Service was lovely.
