I can't say enough about these guys…read more As far as I know, they don't do appliance work, so their few negative Yelp reviews must be mistaken. My prior plumber was charging me $450 for a hydrojet. These guys charged $250. Our clay mainline was cracked, so we needed to call a rooter periodically to clear the roots that would grow into it. After their work, our mainline was free of roots for about nine months, so they clearly did a thorough job. During this latest visit, however, Alex showed me how the mainline was deteriorating, so after performing another hydrojet, we decided he'd come back to re-pipe it. All Clear does work for the city, so they're equipped with industrial-grade tools and equipment. They were able to dig two holes in the ground and use a machine to run a new pipe through the old one. They arrived early, finished in a few hours! Also, they charged me a small fraction of what another plumber quoted! Without the equipment, it's a job that would have taken days and torn up my yard. I could go on and on... they're that good!

I called 'Make it Drain' and Peter sent Jaime out the same day to check to see what was going on. There isn't a cleanout available so Jaime pulled the toilet and scoped the entire main line and showed me exactly what the problems were. He popped down into my Mom's really cramped crawl space to see what it would take to correct it. The waste lines were very old and damaged cast iron and Jaime presented 3 different options to take care of the problems. I felt like he really listened to us and once we decided what to do he started right away to dig and install a new cleanout and replace the damaged drain lines. It was very tough work, but all their guys worked hard to get the work done. I had to fly back home the next day while they were still finishing up, but Jaime kept me appraised of the progress and made me feel like my Mom would be well taken care of, which she was. I'm an electrical contractor and realize how challenging this job was, but I can't say enough about how well they communicated and how professional and courteous everyone from the company was. I highly recommend 'Make it Drain'! Harris C.

Be very cautious and always get multiple quotes before hiring this company…read more We had a technician come out to estimate a basic laundry shutoff valve replacement and drywall access on standard 1/2-inch copper lines. He quoted us an astronomical $1,750 just to change the valves, and up to $2,900 for options involving the box and drain. Those prices are completely disconnected from fair market rates. We reached out to other licensed professionals in the area and had the exact same work completed cleanly and properly for around $300. I understand businesses have overhead, but quoting nearly $2,000 for a standard 1-to-2-hour valve job feels predatory. Do your homework and call around before agreeing to their estimates.

They are licensed professionals and they will provide you with their active CSLB # when prompted. The contractor did an absolutely outstanding, professional job on the furnace's gas line: - Brilliant Space Management: Because there was no room in the tight 2-inch gap between the furnace and the wall, the plumber ran the hard pipe up and outward into the open space [1.2.6]. - 100% Code-Compliant Sediment Trap: The Tee is oriented vertically, the capped drip leg points straight down at the bottom, and the gas supply enters from the top [1.2.5, 1.2.6]. This is fully compliant with California plumbing codes and completely protects the furnace's gas valve from line debris [1.2.5, 1.2.6]. - Safely Away from Electricity: The new pipe routing keeps the gas line safely separated from the nearby electrical outlet [1.1.2]. Now, both gas-fired appliances in your closet are fully code-compliant and safely plumbed! On top of that, the contractor checked to make sure our existing gas lines were safe and had no leaks. Reasonably priced and highly recommended!

I requested estimates from several plumbers, and A-Team Plumbing Services stood out by offering to clear the blockage for a flat $49. Thinking this would be a relatively simple drain-clearing job, I scheduled them to come out that morning. Giulio arrived right on time and attempted to snake the tub drain, but unfortunately the blockage wouldn't clear. He then asked whether we had a cleanout somewhere on the property. We weren't aware of one, so he went underneath the house to investigate the plumbing. What he found was quite a bit more complicated than a simple clog. There was a cracked pipe, aging cast iron, improperly installed and graded ABS, and poorly sealed joints. Essentially, our drainage system was a "Frankenstein" assembly of old and new plumbing that had been pieced together over many decades. While it was still technically functioning, it was clear that we were eventually going to have a much more serious--and potentially much more expensive--problem. The team also brought in a camera to inspect portions of the system, and during that process they discovered a deceased rat inside one of the pipes. Not exactly what you hope to find under your house, but it was another indication of just how much had accumulated and gone wrong with the old system over the years. We ultimately decided to have A-Team install a bullhorn cleanout along the side of the house, which required jackhammering through the concrete. This gives us much better access to the drainage system for future maintenance. Robert, the owner, then came out personally to evaluate the remainder of the system and provide an estimate. Although the larger project was certainly not inexpensive, Robert's proposal made sense: replace the old, mismatched plumbing with a completely new, uniform, properly installed drainage system serving both bathrooms, the kitchen, and the laundry area. We decided it made more sense to address the underlying problems now rather than wait for a major failure later. The work took about five days overall, with roughly three days devoted to re-piping everything under the house. The A-Team crew was extremely professional, courteous, and thoughtful about working in and around our home. They clearly took care with the work and with our property. Robert also offered, at no additional charge, to install a recessed box in the laundry area that would better contain the hot and cold water connections for the washing machine. We ultimately declined because doing so would have required moving the machines and cutting into the wall--and, frankly, we already had enough going on with the plumbing project! Still, we appreciated the offer and the fact that he was thinking about ways to improve the finished installation. Robert's sons, Stevie and Benjamin, helped manage portions of the project from the main office and were very responsive to our questions and text messages throughout the process. We're very happy with the finished result. We now have a completely new and properly installed drainage system rather than continuing to rely on a collection of aging and poorly configured pipes. The project also includes a 10-year parts-and-labor warranty and a two-year clog-free warranty, which gives us considerable peace of mind. What began as a $49 attempt to clear a clogged bathtub turned into a much larger plumbing project, but we're ultimately glad we called A-Team. Giulio's willingness to investigate the underlying problem rather than simply clear the immediate symptom was what led us to discover the condition of the existing system in the first place. We're pleased with the work and would recommend A-Team Plumbing Services to others.
