**Update:** I came back in today for another nail appointment and had another really positive experience. My technician was running just a few minutes behind, and being I had a tight schedule of my own that day another technician stepped in to get my nails started so I could remain on time. They were professional, attentive, calm, and did a really great job. I really appreciated them taking the initiative to step in and help keep everything on track. It was a small gesture, but it really stood out to me and was another example of the level of care and professionalism I've experienced at this salon. read more

I've been to this salon about three times now. The nail technicians are very skilled, and they consistently do an excellent job. I'm always happy with the quality of my nails. However, despite having an appointment every time, I've had to wait at least 15 minutes, and sometimes up to 30 minutes before being seen. I'm not sure how appointment slots are managed, and it makes me wonder what the purpose of making an appointment is if the wait is this consistent. It's disappointing because the technicians are skilled. This seems more like a management and scheduling issue than a problem with the staff themselves. I have been to Blue Diamond Nails several times in the past, and my previous experiences were consistently positive. Unfortunately, this visit did not meet the same standard. I went in for a manicure and pedicure, and the quality of the nail work was below what I have come to expect. After I got home and took a closer look, I noticed that my toenails were trimmed unevenly and lacked a consistent shape. My manicure had similar issues, with uneven nails and less attention to detail than I would expect from a professional salon. The massage portion of the pedicure was enjoyable and well done, but the nail care itself was not up to the level I was hoping for, which was the main reason for my visit. With so many excellent nail salons to choose from in Las Vegas, I do not think I will be returning. Spending over $70 plus a tip for this level of service did not feel worthwhile. My birthday is in 6 days and I needed a pedicure real bad. I'm always so sketch on everyone that does my nails. I'm also always looking for a place that's not too crazy in price. I looked on Yelp and this one was about 11 mins away from my home. So I booked a same day appointment online and it got approved right away, thankfully! The place was busy but they had enough nail techs to serve everyone. It wasn't a long wait either after checking in. I got an acrylic full set and a pedicure. There was 2 ladies working on me which killed time of course. But I loved it. I felt relaxed and pampered. They did an awesome job with my nails even though it's soooo simple. Ava was sweet to apologize twice but she didn't hear that she had promised a complimentary nail design since I waited 35mins and instead of asking what was said, she smiled with a lack of sincerity and simply agreed and then went back on her word. She only offered water to difficult complaining clients as one was nearby and was incredibly disappointed in sticky material under her nails and she was accidentally cut. Came to Las Vegas for a work trip. Decided to try out the spot to do my nails as well as my pedicure. They offered gel X, which has been really hard to find in my hometown. I decided to give it a try. It's been now a week and the nails are still looking good. The worker was very friendly and she did a good job on my pedicure as well. They do offer a complimentary drink! Inside there are multiple people working and everything was very organized and clean. Even the bathroom! They also have a good playlist while you're doing your nails. It is on the pricier side, but nowadays it's mission impossible to get your nails done for under $60 anywhere in general. This spot was actually worth it though because the service was really good! Also, it's in a good location. There's a lot of food places nearby in case you get hungry, more importantly, the area is safe! Although my appointment got pushed back due to how busy it was, my nail tech did an amazing job which I later found out that it was the owner himself who did my nails. Shoutout to him for doing an excellent job and being so fun to talk to. My second visit recently was not so great unfortunately. I decided to take my daughter here to get her first mani pedi as a mommy and daughter treat and both our experience was pretty bad. With my daughter, both the colors she chose were not available. She ended up with colors she wasn't too pleased with. Meanwhile, my experience was not good at all.. First of all, the lady who did my pedi buffed too hard and cut my toe which burned the entire time afterwards. Then the color I picked didn't match with the display. They said the gel color and regular polish color sometimes doesn't match.. which seems like a problem they need to fix overall. Anyways, that was displeasing but I still kept the color cuz my toe was already burning from the cut and didn't want her to remove the polish and irritate my cut some more. When it got to my mani service, the same lady did my nails. She kept the same gloves on after she did my feet.. which was not okay but I didn't say anything cuz she should've known not to even do that to begin with.. I got Gel X for my mani and she put too much glue under my nails that it looks too lifted and it even got on my skin.. Overall, they only get 3 stars. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm smile. The staff were friendly, polite, and welcoming. Beautiful Nails delivered two very different experiences in the same visit. We brought my middle schooler in with a very specific nail design, and Nu was absolutely fantastic. Her precision, patience, and attention to detail were outstanding. As a parent, I especially appreciated that she never tried to steer my daughter into a different style...she listened, respected her choices, and executed the design beautifully. I got an acrylic set because I have a reaction to gel, and while I don't recall my technician's name, I would not recommend her at all. I got cat eye gel on my natural nails and after the first day my thumb chipped halfway off. 5 days later my middle finger on my right hand did as well, 6 days later so did my left middle finger. Less than two weeks later, one nail broke, which has never happened to me at other salons with similar work. Additionally, I was surprised to learn that they no longer accept cash as I have been a regular client -- only credit cards are allowed now. This policy wasn't posted anywhere on their website, social media, or at the front desk, so I wasn't prepared and had to scramble to pay. A simple heads-up would have been appreciated. The salon itself is decently located and the staff were friendly enough, but the quality of the work and the unexpected payment restriction left me frustrated. I probably won't be returning. She made sure that the nail underneath was dremeled, the paint was clean, and each nail shaped meticulously. Nini was called to do an eyebrow appt in the middle but I was still in and out in an hour. She was kind, patient and easy going. Didn't talk too much and made sure I cooled down the dremel as my cuticles are sensitive to the heat. Had a birthday pedicure day with my mama and it was an ok experience today. Made reservations for a specific time and was taken to our chairs after grabbing one of those color palettes. We both chose the deluxe pedicure, and I wanted the green tea one but they were out so the nail technician offered the pearl one instead which was fine~ Seemed like an all around rushed pedicure and when the lady said it was done, I saw the time and it was only 42minutes after our reservation for 1pm. My mother and I both thought hmm wasn't it for an hour? At check out, I asked the lady how long is a deluxe pedicure supposed to be? She said hmmm and went to look at her screen. She replied, it could be about 45minutes to an hour. And I told her but isn't the deluxe pedicure for 60minutes? Her reply was, "well if the nail artist is experienced they could be quicker." Another girl mentioned they can check the cameras. And I mean that seems a bit silly..but if you do view your cameras, you will see it is not a full hour service. You can see the time from our appt time to when the nail technicians were done. At check out it was still before 2pm and I even got an eyebrow wax too after the pedicure..yes, very quick service. Some nail polish under the toe...well, shucks. How could that have been missed? As a courtesy maybe you need to inform customers for the deluxe pedicures (60minutes), customers should be notified or printed on your menu (may be 45-60minutes depending on the experience of the nail technician) That just doesn't seem right.. Deluxe pedicure package lists, the length of service and the cost. Yet you get a 42 minutes instead. The front desk ladies were very kind/friendly, apologetic and sincere.
