She cleaned my underarms & prepped them for the wax. She put the hot wax on my underarms and got to work. Of course there was some pain, but nothing unbearable. What she could not get with the ear, she plucked and I could barely feel the plucking. She put a serum on afterwards and I was done. The girl at the front desk said this service was complimentary since it was my first time here. She also gave me a goody bag and showed me what was inside. Overall, 10 out of 10 experience. Hopefully the one in San Marcos lives up to this experience. The prices was quick!

Backstory: my schedule is chaotic, so in October I bought a four-pack Wax Pass to force some consistency. I asked at the front desk if the passes had an expiration date and was told, in rapid-fire but pleasant fashion, "No." Fast-forward to May 22: I arrive for my 10:30 appointment and -- honestly -- I'm late. By 10:43 I'm told I'm past the 10-minute grace period. Fair. I totally get the policy. Here's where the plot twist becomes a heist movie: being denied the service turned out to be a blessing in disguise, because I then learned the remaining two passes I thought I had? "Expired." Expired. Despite being told otherwise when I bought them. Translation: they charged me for services I could no longer use. Charming. So, lesson learned with a sigh and a raised eyebrow: Don't buy those Wax Passes. Buyer beware. Tip your service workers with cash -- they deserve it, and at least the money actually goes to them. I left quietly steaming and a little poorer, but at least now I'm better informed.
