Well second time was not a charm. Ordered sour cream enchiladas and avocado salad. Enchiladas came to the table, but not the avocado salad. No one ever came to check, as I would've asked about the salad and also told them they forgot the habanero rice. When I was finished eating the server finally came and asked if I needed anything and I said please cancel the salad, I'm done eating, and at that moment it was was delivered. I said I'd like to cancel that please because I'm finished eating. The server got extremely upset. I thought she was gonna throw the salad. She got another person and they came over and got upset with me also. I explained that I was done eating and apologized, but I would think that she would bring the order out at the same time, as I really did want to eat some of the salad. The server never came back and sent someone else to bring me the check. I tried to explain the confusion to them and they just said OK. Another person came over to ask what happened and I told them the same thing and even said if two people were sitting at the table together and both ordered a plate, you would not bring one plate 25 minutes after the other plate that would just be, poor procedure. Also, I suggested if a runner brings out the food, the server should come check on the table earlier to see if everything came out correctly. I also suggested that if a customer orders asalad, and a main dish, a good tip for the server would be to ask if they would like that salad to come out first and then hold the main dish for a couple of minutes. That would've solved all this, but to make the customer feel bad and treat them hostile is not the solution for an error. Visited Blue Agave for the first time last night and it was fantastic. We started with the Taquitos and an order of queso as appetizers, with chimichangas and a chile relleno for entrees. All of the food was excellent and I highly recommend the Taquitos. But it was the service that truly set Blue Agave apart. Aimee was our server but the entire team was very courteous, polite, professional and efficient. Everyone worked well together and the service was seamless. It is easy to understand why because Rocky, the general manager, was absolutely present and very active. He showed a genuine commitment to providing outstanding customer service that everyone on his team believes in. It was clear that he wants each guest to have an outstanding experience. We will definitely return on our next trip. read more

Mine and my daughter's food was disgusting. I had shrimp tacos and asked for corn tortillas, but they came with flour. I asked for corn tortillas and received them separate to make my own from the ones given. No sorry was said for giving me an incorrect food order. Then the kids chicken meal is a joke. She had one bite and said it was so gross. Was super greasy. My waiter did not care about us one bit and it was an annoyance to have him working. My shrimp were not cooked all the way. Where we were sat was off from the normal area and it was dirty, stinky, sticky, just horrid atmosphere. I have no idea how this place has so many good reviews. A friend just went for the first time last week and got food poisoning from the shrimp so I should consider myself lucky! read more

Just a warning, I left a $10.00 tip on a $40.01 meal, received an e mail from credit card company asking if I had intended to leave a 18.00 tip. Waitstaff had changed the tip from 10.00 to 18.00. Will not be eating here again. read more

Sorry for no picture! We ate first. First of all the chips and salsa was so good! Perfect amount of spice. We ordered the queso flamenco with steak and that was my favorite. Served with tortillas but good with chips too! I ordered the chicken green enchiladas with habanero rice and refried beans. The enchiladas were so good! Not very saucy but the chicken was tender which tough chicken is always the issue I have with enchiladas from restaurants! I was happy about that. The rice wasn't spicy like I expected, but both had a good amount of flavor! My toddler got the cheese enchilada kids meal. He looooved the rice and ate half the enchilada. I liked his food! Hubby got the quesabirria with charro beans and rice. We both liked the charro beans. I didn't try his quesabirria but he said the meat on one of the pieces was a little bit tough. Our server was amazing! He checked on us so much, and we never wanted for anything. His service made it an even better experience. Restaurant was cute and small-- a nice hole in the wall! read more

Having read all of the rave reviews, we visited Blue Agave. BEST service (thank you, Rosa ) and the food was excellent! I am picky about my Mexican food and this was really, really good! My husband and I are always nervous to try new places because when we eat out, want good food and tend to stick to what is reliable. When we got to the car, I said "That was good." My husband responded, "Yeah, reeeally good." Our server, Rocky, was incredibly hospitable, knowledgeable, and attentive. He made our experience (with a baby) enjoyable. That was a terrible experience. Got a chicken chimmicunga. Not good. Supposed to come with beans and rice. Not on the plate, suppose to be in the chimmi, not there! Service was really good, the restaurant is small so I wouldn't bring a party bigger than like 6 because anything after that you might be waiting a while to get some tables. We got the queso with chorizo for an appetizer and it was very good, the salsa they have is also great. You need to be careful not to fill up on the tortilla chips because they are AMAZING. We have been extremely blessed with the same server both times, JEWELS is wonderful at her job, and we are beyond pleased with her. Even though she has had a rough day, she still managed to keep us entertained and meet all our needs to the very best of her ability. IT'S THE RESTAURANT ITSELF WE ARE DISPLEASED WITH!!! They will not allow you to get the 3 types of enchiladas offered on their enchilada meal, you can only choose ONE, and they do not offer an upsale so that you can sub the same 3 for 1 or 2 of the other kind. Which is silly because they are actually losing money by being so set on not substituting or allowing any change to the meals. And then, there is no individual portions of guacamole and or queso, you have to purchase the big bowl of it, which is $8.99 and up. I understand having a set menu, but as a customer, we all like to be able to make decisions on what we are eating and paying for. Not allowing customers to choose what they want will at some point cause the loss of business. Needless to say, I just ordered the extra enchilada of my choice on the side. The one star is for your chips. We wanted to like this place, but what you know about good Tex-mex food is just too lacking. You have no idea how to make quesadillas at all. Go to Don Luis and order chicken quesadillas to see the correct way to do them. Yours are small, not buttery crispy outside and are barely filled with anything. Also theirs are served with rice and beans. Your enchiladas are also small and barely filled. Go to Abuelos and see how much bigger theirs are. Also you have the choice of very good sauces. Your prices are a little lower, but the quality of your food is WAY lower, so we will pay more for a lot better food. You are in the wrong business. Go be plumbers or something. read more

The enchiladas we ordered were so delicious. The hot sauce was perfect, and corn tortilla chips were fresh and crisp. The atmosphere was festive and the wait staff was friendly. Me and my husband do NOT, by any means, get out much. I usually don't like wait staff or restaurant vibes, but Blue Agave was AMAZING. It may not look like much when you walk in, but please please please take a seat and wait to be seated, which isn't long. Wait staff will ask if you'd like a drink while you wait, and YES, margaritas are an option. The food was amazing and the drink was strong. It's all worth the price, which isnt that high.
