Had take out from Blossom Tree on a Friday evening. They are located near Woodruff Park in downtown, a few doors past the Flatiron building. Ordered the three tacos plate and the kimchi rice chicken plate, both of which came with two of their own sides. For sides we got two orders of soy protein dumplings, the corn, and kimchi rice. The tacos were crispy chicken, grilled chicken, and grilled shrimp. The chicken comes in slices, not like tenders, so the grilled one was more appetizing than the crispy one. The dumplings were surprisingly delicious as well. Pricing was fair, around $12 per person for a very filling quantity of some good quality food. read more

I chose the dumpings (vegetarian) and korean salad. The chicken was crispy and had a sweet sauce placed on it. You get a choice of white or brown rice. I wish the rice serving was a little more so the meat to rice ratio had been a better one. The korean salad was refreshing. The dumplings were crispy and hot. Love coming to Blossom Tree to grab a quick lunch in between classes. When I started college, I was skeptical about coming here because it was downtown and the food probably is not better than the food from Koreatown in Duluth right? Wow, was I surprised when I first tried this place and realized it was a Korean fusion restaurant. Their food is beyond delicious. The place is very nice and clean. They have a bathroom for you to use, you can get the key from the cashier. The place can get packed so seating is very crowded and limited, but it is not a problem if you are rushing to class. I usually spend around $10 when I come here and always order the three tacos set with two sides. The bulgogi taco and fried shrimp taco are my favorite. Their sauce is to die for, literally. The mild orange sauce is my favorite, and it sounds bad to say this, but I always pack at least 5 cups of the sauce to go, so I can drench my tacos and rice in it! You can call ahead and order if you are in a rush to class, but you still have to wait in the line when you arrive. If you go to school at Georgia State or are in the area, try Blossom Tree out! I've been looking for a place here that has korean style tacos and street food. The menu options are plentiful. I recommend the taco plate. You'll get to choose 3 tacos and two sides. This place gets very VERY busy during Lunch. I would not recommend this for a large group meeting, children, and or persons with sensory/ anxiety disorder simply because the space is tight in general and it gets very loud with lots of people standing around waiting for orders. Tip: It slows down a bit and you won't have to fight for seating right around 1:15 ish. I had the fish taco, crunchy chicken taco, crunchy shrimp taco and a bite of the beef taco. All were equally delish! The sides I've tried so far are the kimchi rice, sweet potatoes, and korean salad. Go for the food and take your time. Bibimbap... I love this word, but the dish, oh the dish! I have discovered a new favorite food thanks to Blossom Tree. I believe it's even healthy with all the veggies and brown rice piled up underneath that amazing pork bullgogi. My choice of two sides included kimchi and dumplings, both quite amazing themselves. I was in Atlanta over the summer for a work conference, and 5 months later, I am still dreaming of the bibimbap that I got here. I found this hole-in-the-wall on Yelp while looking for cheaper and more casual places to grab lunch and dinner close to the CNN Center and Blossom Tree popped up and having never tried bibimbap and seeing that I could make it vegetarian I rounded up my friend and we made the trek over. The employees were very nice, attentive and helpful at explaining how everything worked and the prices were very fair. I love that it comes with two sides and you can get so many different things. I actually came here twice, got the bibimbap both times, and switched up the sides. I've been trying to find similar quality bibimbap in Durham, and I just can't so I guess I'll be visiting Atlanta just for this when the craving hits me again =) read more

Dumplings were flavorful and delicious which left me wanting more. Korean salad had a good vinaigrette dressing on it that made me feel like I was doing something healthy. After a long day of conferencing, it was time to find some good dinner! The area around the hotel seems to have a curfew or something, with restaurants closing before 8pm. So we made sure to find a place to eat early. We ventured out to Blossom Tree. Best decision of the day!! Maybe the week. It's a cute little shop with updated decor, and a handsome cashier/waitress. Orders are placed in the back with menus near the line wall. I ordered the chicken bibimbap with Korean salad and sweet potatoes. The wait for food was not long. The food was well plated and full of color! The Korean salad was delicious! The sweet potatoes were cooked perfectly and had a nice, sweet glaze. Great experience here! I'm a collard greens and cornbread type girl so when I had the opportunity to try this Korean restaurant, I didn't know if I would like it-boy was I wrong. I came in and the man behind the counter greeted me with a friendly smile. As I told him this was my first time ordering he help me choose the most popular options and help me pronounce the names properly. I decided to get the taco tray and a side order of the crunchy shrimp taco. On the taco tray I had the chicken beef and crispy chicken tacos. The sides included the corn salad and the dumplings. The tacos were amazing! Like seriously, I couldn't believe the flavor party that was happening in my mouth! The dumplings were different I didn't really care for them too much but they were just OK. I'm used to eating a dumpling with a little more meat so maybe that's why. I found this place on Yelp and it was really good. It's not super authentic Korean because they serve tacos but the food was good. I got Beef Bibimbap with Miso soup and dumplings for $11 and some change. I loved it! My brother liked his crispy chicken rice dish. The staff was helpful and friendly. Winner winner, Korean dinner! Absolutely in love with this place and have been coming here since my freshman year at Georgia state! I always get the rice dishes and they never disappoint. My friends always get the tacos and rave about them, but whenever I go up to the counter to order tacos, I can't help, but order my favorite item (beef kimchi rice!) You have to remember that this place is on a college campus and in the middle of downtown so towards the middle of the day it gets PACKED, so be prepared to be there for a little while. Best day ever. My geography lab took a whole fifteen minutes so I got to beat everyone to Blossom Tree. I came by one day last semester and it was just so awkward with how jam packed it was. If you can, definitely come before noon. I wish there was kind of a good place to be if you were taking the food to go. Even though the place was near empty this woman chose to just stand in front of me like I really wanted to watch the back of her while I ate. I was craving Korean tacos, so I decided to get the taco plate. I got two bulgogi tacos and a chicken taco. I couldn't decide on the sides, so I asked my cashier what was popular and what she liked. Based on that I went with sweet potatoes (popular) and the corn salad (a suggestion from her). I loved the corn salad. It's a cold mixture of corn and herbs with some kind of creamy sauce. I wasn't sure I would like it, but I decided to give it a try and I'm glad I did. And while the sweet potatoes are awesome, beware the honey or whatever they're soaking in. If you're one of those people who can't have their food touch, you won't be happy, as it kind of soaks everywhere. My one taco got covered in it and it was very sticky. But there's hand sanitizer you can use without having to get a bathroom key. The tacos are good too, I can't decide which I liked better. Both the bulgogi and chicken are really well seasoned and cooked perfectly. The tacos are just spicy enough, and the only other thing on them is lettuce, so they're pretty perfect. My total was $8.10 which is really kind of more than I typically want to spend for lunch, but it's worth it and I can only really eat lunch once a week downtown this semester so it's all good. I wish she had mentioned the 10% GSU discount cause that would have been nice, or maybe I am dumb and don't realize it but either way would have been good to know. But I am still giving 5 stars based on the free iced genmaicha (there's probably a Korean name for it, but it's made with green tea and toasted rice, but don't knock it till you try it) that is, let me repeat, FREE. Before the pandemic me and my coworkers often had lunch here and we really liked the food. We are happy to see the restaurant still operating as we come back to office, but the quality seems to have taken a hit. My lunch today felt like leftovers that's been in the fridge for a few days and not properly reheated. Part of the rice was dry and hard to chew and the rest soggy/overcooked. Beef was tough and stringy. Even worse, the kimchi rice was flavorless and hardly had any kimchi in it. This is probably the best Korean food I've ever had. I ordered the Crispy Chicken meal which is a chicken breast that's been pan-fried, sliced, and served over a bed of rice with a curry. You're allowed to choose two sides with the meal as well. I chose dumplings and the soup of the day - miso soup. As if the tasty food at good prices wasn't enough, sweetened/unsweetened Korean barley tea is included free of charge. Everything was phenomenal! I left feeling very satisfied and I can eat a good bit. I really like the idea that the food is served on actual plates if you're dining in. The one slight negative I have is the plasticware but that's even of higher quality. In the end, I wished I lived/worked nearby as I would eat there at least once a week. read more

You cannot go wrong at Blossom Tree, especially when your Korean co-workers are telling you, "Hey -- this is Korean home cooking!" First star -- location, location, location. Located across the street from Woodruff Park, in the building behind the Flat Iron building, Blossom Tree is in the old Happy Chopstix location. If you're familiar with Broad Street and the Fairlie Poplar district near Georgia State University, then you'll find this place on the back side of the Muse's building opposite Dua Vietnamese OR a few doors north of Anatolia Cafe. Second star -- keeping it simple. The interior decor is simple. A few tables up front, with a mural and wall seating on the right. The drink fountain, condiments and utensils are located at the back left of the restaurant. When you walk in, head straight for the back -- to the glass display counter. Inside, you'll find examples of a lot of the most popular items on the menu. The full menu is up on the wall above the counter if you're so inclined, but the ease of picking your entree from the display case is hard to beat. Third star -- tasty, inexpensive food I didn't even bother looking at the menu when I went. I had two Korean co-workers who helped guide me towards something tasty in the glass display. The only menu item I can spell without fail is bulgogi -- Korean beef on rice with a cold creamed corn (sweet, almost) salad and pickled (???) jalapeno peppers. On the side -- a soup / broth laden with fish sauce and some chopped green onion. Less than $9 with a drink (free refills). I couldn't find anything wrong with this dish. It was the perfect lunch portion. Everything melded together really well. The beef and rice were great. The fishy soup was different but not overpowering. The cold corn salad (you don't get much) really helped provide a little contrast to the other two. Order the homemade Korean hot sauce on the side -- it's like a really thick paste, and it's not crazy hot. Pair it with the pickled jalapenos, though, and you'll get some fire. Fourth star -- friendly service. The owner, obviously interested in new business, was very helpful and friendly, guiding those in the dining party unfamiliar with Korean cuisine in choosing an entree. He even went so far as to bring out, free of charge, a dessert -- candied sweet potatoes in a syrup with black sesame. I'm not a fan of sweet potatoes, and even I found these to be a treat. Be sure to give Blossom Tree a try. It's a great addition to the dining choices in the Fairlie Poplar district. I'll definitely be going back. read more

I visited this restaurant twice already. After the first time, I am hooked. I've tried their bulgogi kimbap and their spicy chicken over rice. I've also tried their dumplings and seafood soup. It's the right price for the amount of food you get. I always leave very full. I like that they have three different sauces to complement your food. This place is very, very clean and they always clean and restock their materials every morning. For GSU students, show them your student ID to get 10% discount. I hear a lot of good things about their tacos here also which I have yet to try. This place is always packed during lunch time. You should definitely try this place out.
