We've mostly stuck with milk teas, so I can't really speak for the rest of the menu, but the ones we've tried have been tasty (usually taro and thai tea). I wouldn't say the tea itself is particularly high quality or anything that will blow your mind, but it does the job when you're craving a casual milk tea. The tapioca boba has always had the texture it should: nice and chewy without being too hard or mushy, so no complaints there i guess. I also really like that they have stamp cards. I'm a sucker for a loyalty card because it gives me more incentive to stop by whenever I happen to be in Gig Harbor. The shop itself is pretty small, with just a few seats inside, but it usually hasn't been too busy whenever we've visited. There's also a kiosk you can order from. In general, Pearl Tea is a reliable 4-star boba spot for me. Nothing fancy or life-changing, but the drinks are good, the boba is properly chewy, and I would stop by again when I'm in the area.

We were not greeted upon arrival, and the person who appeared to be the owner or manager was preoccupied making multiple shakes for her son while chatting about the new barstools she had purchased. Nearly 10 minutes passed before we were acknowledged, and another 10 before we were told she would be with us shortly. When my order was finally made, it was incorrect. Before I could let them know that I was fine with the mistake, the drink was dumped and remade, adding even more to the wait time. Unfortunately, the remake was also incorrect--this time missing the powder flavoring I had originally requested--resulting in a plain shake. Given the extended wait, the lack of customer service, and the price point, I cannot justify returning. I value supporting small businesses, but this experience demonstrated why many customers turn to chain establishments that have the staffing and systems to provide consistent service.

He was nice enough to let us show our friends the space., But was already sweeping and closing, which, as a restaurant owner and Winebar owner, I can attest is a huge no-no. All winter we would drop in on Monday night after concert often as late as 9:45 with no to few other customers in the room and be warmly greeted and sold a couple of glasses of wine just so that we could chill a little bit but, we never stay very long. And the girls were always very welcome and friendly.. But after maybe 25 visits, we get this guy, in a room packed with people, not that late, not friendly, not sorry, so sadly we left, but did show our friends the beautiful patio with the spectacular steady water and full moon.
