10/10. Makes me smile to see a small business full of people. Not many coffee shops still offer seated service with mugs. I went on a Monday morning, quick service, yummy and perfect coffee, plus the best avocado toast I have ever had. Wish this was closer to home for me, I'd gladly visit to sit and journal, read, work, etc. read more

What a cool and fun place. The food is delightful. Coffee was excellent, and people were kind. The ambience, laid back and relaxing with a soothing vibe. There was a band playing who was great! I'll be back! read more

A bustling coffee house with a diverse drink and food selection. The classical fall flavors were on tap as well as your typical espresso based hot or cold drinks. Ample selection of hot food items and a limited baked goods section adds to your options for satiating your hunger. On a quick note, they have some open mic stuff going on certain days and you have to love that local vibe for a vibrant community. Willing to take on that challenge of self expression, just like writing a well targeted Yelp Review, is the fabric of a strong village! All things considered I would make plans to come again in the evening to check out the open mic night. read more

Ordered a 20OZ Carmel Latte and it pretty much had no Carmel. Crappy cup of coffee! Won't come back!

I would do 2.5 stars. Small and local coffee shop. Basic drinks and a few sandwich offerings. Got a standard drip from d'arte, nice that it has free refills. Partner got a white chocolate mocha with an extra shot and oat milk, it wasn't bad but it wasn't warm not hot. She also got the tomato, avocado bagel. It was fine, a thin smear of cream cheese...the avocado was good. Her drink and bagel was about 20 bucks before tip, add in my drip and we were at 23...which is a little pricey. Plenty of seating, service was fine. read more

On 5/16/24, I visited Kimball Coffeehouse in Gig Harbor, Washington. This coffeehouse has a great history, which I've included a link to in the comments. Kimball Coffeehouse has live music on the weekends. The evening I arrived, they were setting up for Open Mic Night. They roast their own coffee beans. They have an extensive menu that includes Breakfasts, Smoothies, Sandwiches, Flatbread Pizzas, Salads, Soups, Snacks, and Desserts. I ordered a Spring coffee drink called Bees Knees, which is a Lavender & Honey Latte. The flavor combination was a bit too subtle for me, but it was good. Next time, I will try something else. The woman sitting next to me ordered a BLT, which looked excellent! One of the things I really like about Kimball Coffeehouse is they seem to have a lot of regulars. Coffee shops like that are hard to find. I look forward to visiting Kimball Coffeehouse the next time I'm in town.... Highly Recommended!!! read more

Kimball Coffeehouse - White choc mocha and a peanut butter oat bar - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Gig Harbor, Washington

Kimball Coffeehouse is my go-to for coffee in Gig Harbor. Their specials are always spot on and very tasty. The barista (whose name I always forget) is friendly every time and I stop by. She makes drinks quickly and with impressive efficiency - while smiling and chatting with customers the whole time. The place itself is spacious and cute. They serve alcohol in the evenings with live music on some nights. It reminds me very much of the coffee houses in Iceland in that regard. It be very crowded early in the day - so come prepared (you may need to stake out a table if staying). read more

Great neighborhood place. Clean, friendly staff; fantastic coffees, pastries, salads and sandwiches. The best open mic in the area on Thursdays with live bands on Fridays - beer, wine and pizzas for these events. It really is a cool place. The owners are very involved with the community and support local charities. read more

This is a great little coffeehouse with a clueless employee. It's a super cute place which has open mic night and also regular bands that play once a week. The hours are better than most of the area coffeehouses that seem to close early except for Starbucks of course. I enjoyed the iced mocha I had and was tempted by the lemon bars but had just eaten so I didn't get one. I was amused by the barista who told me in the loudest voice possible that she had to wait to make my offer until after the guy playing the acoustic guitar was done with his set so she wouldn't disturb him. read more

Got a white choco mocha w/oat milk & the tomavo (asked for no balsamic). Pricey ($19ish for both), pretty basic stuff. I couldn't finish the white choco mocha because it was way too sweet. seems like a popular spot. honestly nothing stood out to me, i wouldn't come back. nothing wrong with the people or what i got, just not my vibe overall. read more

Friendly service, decent amount of seating, and tasty seasonal lattes. We ordered the matcha and apple spice. Both were cozy in a cup, perfect for the fall weather. read more

Nice people, they have been at it for a long time. I go back to their early days and enjoy their home style.

I had a great tasting fruit smoothie and my other two friends had coffee. The smoothie tasted fantastic and the coffee was superb. The atmosphere in the morning was quiet and very relaxing. read more

Staff is friendly and knowledgable about coffee. The coffee and food is a bit overpriced but the atmosphere and vibe is great so that's why I keep coming back. read more

Delightful spot. Tons of caffeine options, bakery pastries, food, and cute items to buy. I enjoy looking at the wall art and artists they support. I feel I am picky with brewed coffee for a reason, I'm not a fan of Starbucks brewed coffee, and I REALLY liked the coffee here. With brewed coffee, you could get refills for free. They handed to me in a nice mug, I ordered a breakfast sandwich with it and read on the comfy chairs. It gets pretty crowded after the early morning hour. It looks like a popular spot for people in town! Plenty of parking in the plaza. The cafe is located out front by a business square. There's not much to look at, but I enjoyed also walking around with pockets of sunlight in the building. read more

Kimball Coffeehouse - Warm lattes for mornings! - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Gig Harbor, Washington

This place is truly a gem! I and no idea it existed. But they have an expansive food menu from breakfast sandwiches, to regular sandwiches, baked goods, Neopalitan style pizza, salads, smoothies, coffee, wine, beer, and tea! Fridays from 7-9 they have live band and thursdays from 6-8 they have open mic. I arrived on a Monday morning and the places was bumpin! I ordered their fall special brown sugar cinnamon latte with oat milk. The latte was pretty decent. I also ordered their bagel breakfast sandwich The food and drinks are actually very affordable with a bagel sandwich being $6.75 and on regular bread $6.15. So I got a coffee, sandwich, and tip for less than $16, unheard of during these inflation times honestly. The sandwich was pretty good, definitely feeling. Kind of needed some more flavors like garlic or something it's was heavy in the pepper which I personally like. Also I was given an Asiago bagel but not sure if you can choose the bagel type if you ask :) read more

Breakfast time and we had kimball's on the brain. Not too crowded, they can get fairly crowded. We split a breakfast sandwich and actually wished we bought our own. It was that good. Any way it left room for more treats through the day in Gig Harbor. read more

This is a hidden gem in Gig Harbor! We were at the hotel next door and needed coffee before starting a day of sightseeing. The coffee was hot, quick and tasted great! Went back the next night for one of their pizzas and salad for dinner. The veggie pizza was charred, had the right amount of toppings, and the pizza sauce was very flavorful. The salad was fresh with feta, olives, cucumbers and a nice mixture of lettuce. Also grabbed a triple chocolate brownie that was moist and even though "triple" just the right balance of the three chocolates! Not overly sweet like some brownies are. Both time the servers were friendly and fast. The Friday night jazz music had a standing room only crowd but wasn't too loud. Everyone seemed to know each other. Will come back again if in the area. read more

This is my family's happy go-to place. Delicious hand-crafted food and drinks (not pre-made and sitting or re-warmed...)-- Fabulous ambiance and friendly but not fakey staff. Great place to meet people or take out-of-town guests for a good authentic Gig Harbor stop -- and if you're passing through, not to be missed! Also a good chill or get work done by yourself spot for me! read more

Came here for a cup of coffee and breakfast sandwich with my Valentine wanting to support local. Showed up at around 8:30am and there were a few regulars in there occupying a table. I was immediately surprised to see a stage - THEY HAVE LIVE MUSIC EVERY FRIDAY! I had no idea! Will have to check this out. No one was in line and the barista was VERY friendly and helpful in deciphering what to order. Monthly specials were posted alongside the monthly band list. We ordered a mocha and a medium roast Americano (which came in real mugs - not a paper cup. I can appreciate that!). Both were DELICIOUS! The bagel sandwiches however were nothing to go out of your way for. They were kind of average and forgettable. The bagel was a tad over toasted but still edible. Great place for coffee and to meet up but not for the food. read more

Really healthy yummy food. Tiny place with great attitude. You order, they serve; or take-out.

Absolutely loved this little gem of a coffee house. Our drinks were perfect and we enjoyed the English muffin breakfast sandwiches. The baristas were friendly and welcoming. If we lived in Gig Harbor this would quickly become our coffee house. read more

Didn't get to spend too much time here, but the espresso was clean tasting; not much depth or crema though. In other words, the usual. Lots of special drinks available for fall. Some really homey touches, like the throws available for folks who preferred to use the outdoor tables. Also liked the local artists' works available for purchase. Would love to revisit for their K stage performances. While I was only there for the coffee, they also have pizza, salad, sandwiches and of course, affogato!p read more

Came here while staying at the Wesley Inn hotel this past weekend. Cute coffee spot! The coffee was great, my smoothie was delicious and the waffle is more of a sweet tooth dessert. Not so much a breakfast item for me. My kids would have enjoyed it! I'm just not a sweets person and it was to much chocolate. I shared it with my husband and it was still yummy. They have great customer service!! I will definitely come back again if I am in the the area. They had a breakfast menu and regular menu which I loved. Many choices to pick from but I am Vegan. So definitely check it out! read more

Great neighborhood coffee house with good food, great coffee, and wonderful staff. The space is open and airy with plenty of light. I enjoy it way more than their old space down the street. A great place to camp out and work for a few hours or meet up with friends. Plus they have live music. I would break down my ratings as such: Food 3.7, Coffee 4.3, Ambiance 4.5, and Service 5.5... extra credit for the clerestory windows and great natural light equals 5 out of 5. read more

This place is so cute! I stubbed across this after a doctor's appointment and my coffee was so good! I had also ordered a breakfast burrito which did take a bit of time to make but it was really good so I didn't mind the way. They do they pretty busy here but the staff handles it pretty well and they're all friendly which is a plus. I'm going to be honest I didn't see that it was right in the front near the road so I had driven all way to the back of the parking lot and had to navigate my way through this internal maze of building (Apple maps shows it's further back) all in all I would still come back here! Thanks! read more

I've been searching for GOOD coffee in Gig Harbor (and no, I do not consider Starbucks "good coffee"). So glad I found Kimballs Coffeehouse! We've enjoyed the welcoming, cozy atmosphere; lots of seating, calm music and amazing coffee and food. Try the Chicken, Bacon and Avocado salad - you won't regret it! My kids love the frozen yogurt shakes and my go-to is an oat milk mocha do yourself a favor, drive right by the Starbucks on the corner, go 1/4 mile down the road and park at Kimballs. read more

What a cute little spot! They have a full menu, which looks delicious. The tables are comfortably spaced out, and the staff is very friendly. I love a place who creates their own seasonal drinks, and they had several on their menu. It's a great place to work for a few hours. Even the basic breakfast sandwich tasted homemade (versus out of the freezer). read more

Best coffee in Gig Harbor! Quaint, little coffee house that serves more than just coffee. They offer beer and wine for those not needing the caffiene fix. Food is very good here as well and the desserts look tempting. Kimball's has been a part of Gig Harbor for over 26 years and is a great place to come and relax and enjoy some live music, when they offer it.
