I could be wrong but it looks like it's the only independently owned coffee shop in town or at least in the downtown area. And it indeed shows! The line to place orders was quite long inside the place and they were also managing orders for drive thru customers. But they had the line moving steadily and got customers on their way at a pretty good pace. I'm guessing it's like this here often and they are well practiced! But there was also a church nearby and a farmers market which brought in a lot of people. I really enjoyed the Toasted Pecan Latte from their Autumn coffee menu. It was very good! Nice and smooth and the nuttiness was so pleasant as we enter into Autumn! Of course it wouldn't be a full coffee shop experience without trying out the pastries. They all look to have been made locally as in the Shelton area. I got an almond Danish which was so good and went with the coffee drink quite well! Such a nice coffee shop to hang out at. They have indoor and outdoor seating but even with that it could be a challenge to find a place to sit if it's always this popular.

I appreciate the fact that they are friendly and know their regular customers. But when things are busy, maybe don't spend time talking to people so much? One other kind of disturbing thing, I don't find it appropriate for one of the employers to give a passionate kiss and long hug to their significant other. A quick peck or quick hug is one thing. A long passion movie type of kiss right by where people are ordering inappropriate at worst, and awkward at best. Their bagel sandwiches and other food is always good, as is the coffee. A little employee coaching might be needed.

With that, there's always a risk of the experience only being average (in hopes of it being amazing.) This place quality of coffee and food was simply average. I got a blended white cow add mocha and vanilla. I get the same thing (white chocolate, add regular mocha and vanilla frap) at this place called Gravity Coffee and it's the best thing ever so I was hoping it wasn't too far off at this place. (BTDub - If you're every in the Tacoma, Olympia, Puyallup area you MUST check out Gravity Coffee #JustSayin.) It's not like my drink here was bad by any means, just wasn't amazing which is disappointing. It was heavy on the espresso flavor. So, if you're in the mood for that, definitely try it, but I like when the flavors blend well together and in this one the espresso was just overpowering. I read in a different review that they don't use a frap base, (unfortunately, after I already ordered the drink) so that is probably why the blend seems off. I also ordered a bacon, egg and cheese breakfast sandwich. Now, I wish I could separate my star ratings from food, to drink, to service because the food was awful. It's on an English Muffin, (so pretty basic) but it wasn't even toasted which gave it a true 1 star. The service would've received 5 stars. The woman was super nice. She even told me the name of a different drink that I could've ordered (if I ever come back) that way I don't get charged for all the extra flavors. Unfortunately, by this point, I was already thinking of how I wasn't going to come back so I didn't bother to remember the name. Also, the branding and physical appearance would receive 5 stars in my book too! Its truly a cute little place. I love the fonts of the menu and the sandwich packaging. (That's just the business person in me, so if you're not the type that pays attention to those details, again, it's not worth coming to. LOL)
