Absolutely delicious! Got the steak nachos and steak quesadilla and we completely cleaned our plates.

We did not come in to stay but I can say that it's bigger than I thought. It's a cute place with good ambience. We ordered some tacos Tijuana and surf and turf tacos to go. Service was prompt and very friendly - the menu is pretty extensive The tacos came with salsas and a small bag of chips as well as rice and beans. The beans were great! We came in a weekend afternoon to have lunch with coworkers. The free chips and salsa were a hit! I was pleased with the extensive menu. I ordered the combo that offered 2 enchiladas and 1 hard taco. The price is the same for chicken, ground beef or shredded beef. And of course rice and beans. Everything was perfectly seasoned. My coworkers ordered the pupusas, taco salad, quesadillas and fresh tacos. I was impressed that this was done with just one person at the restaurant. Parking is easy! read more

Stopped in on our way home from Puyallup and was NOT disappointed!! We chose this based on reviews and the reviews were spot on. Food was fresh, portion sizes were perfect, and cost was very reasonable. Service was spot on and the restaurant was clean. I had fajitas and 3 good size one were made from the skillet. Husband had the combo #3 and it was a nice plateful of 2 enchiladas and a crispy taco with rice and beans. Total bill with 20% tip was under $45 Quiet, clean, and great food!!! Tried some takeout after spying a good review on Facebook. I made my selection from a blurry picture of a menu - hopefully someone can post a normal picture soon. Gig Harbor and pandemic prices are a bit high, but what can you do. I had Tacos Tijuana and was not disappointed. Next time, however, I'm going to ask for more green salsa because I like spicy. Temperature and proportion of meat to cheese to onions and cilantro was just right. My husband had a quesadilla with al pastor and ate the whole thing if that's any indication. The portions were deceptively large and came packaged in these plastic platters that made for convenient eating right away. I'm sure dining in is a whole other experience, maybe someday. read more

I went in for a to-go order for myself for lunch - I got the carnitas taco meal and was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't just run of the mill street tacos topped with Pico de Gallo but flavorful meat, full of cilantro and topped I think what was pickled red onions?! The rice and beans were also very flavorful. Their salsa could be improved upon but I like mine super spicy and maybe they had other options for dine in?! They also gave a small bag of tortilla chips that didn't seem the most fresh - again, probably better for dine in. Staff was very friendly as well. I did feel like it was slightly (ok a lot) overpriced but again if I'm dining in and being waited on maybe I would feel differently. Second visit. Incredibly clean restaurant and friendly staff. I asked if they had any menus to go, but not yet. There used to be a Peruvian restaurant here not long ago, but was replaced by this location. Can't complain at all. I hope they stick around for a while. read more

Delicious and authentic Mexican food. The carnitas and carne asada were seasoned and cooked perfectly, good rice and beans, and the salsa (especially the hot) was a perfect compliment. Service is always good. Food is fantastic! Their homemade bacon wrapped jalapeño poppers are absolutely fabulous, some of the best I've ever had. Tortas, burritos, the Tijuana tacos...all great. I love the birria dipping sauce (like an incredibly rich flavorful au ju sauce) pushes the tijuana tacos over the edge of deliciousness. My wife's favorite things are the pupusas. Okay this was my second time here. My first time I had to try the quesabirria tacos. They were probably a four but I've tried these up and down the coast so for those new to this style of taco I would recommend them. The portion was quite large so good news for big eaters. The price point was a deterrent however. Around $20 with tip so a lot for lunch. On my second visit I had the $1.99 tacos. Carne asada and carnitas. Both were good but I thought the asada taco was excellent. Refried beans were also very good and I'd go back again for that very meal, around $10 with tip.
