The young lady who took care of me Simmi, was so sweet and friendly. I have very sensitive skin so she suggested aloe Vera for my skin. I also wanted to do my eyebrows and lashes which she did as well. I didn't know what kind to get (first time getting lashes) and she suggested natural medium. Her suggestion was perfect because it was natural but still full. Eyebrows were great as well. She made small talk which I appreciate and seemed to care about what I was saying. First can I say, I DO NOT write Yelp reviews; ever. But if you're looking for a QUALITY wax job without having to sacrifice time, this is the place. I made an appointment with Meenu for 11:45am and was seen immediately. It had been a little while since my last wax, so I was a bit nervous in anticipation of the pain, but she was so fast it was like I hardly felt it. They use chocolate wax w/ strips, and even go up the stomach and thigh if there's hair left there. She was very polite, and the place has a nice setup/ambiance. I went there to get a full set of eyelashes. Don't ever get your eyelashes done here! 1. The seats are so uncomfortable. They use the same ones that they use for threading. 2. One of my eyes got irritated from the burning sensation of the glue. I could not stop tearing, which as you may already know, getting the glue wet within the first 24 hours is a no-no. 3. Most of my eyelashes fell out within the second week. The ones that remained put were all over the place and even when I combed them they would just do their own thing. 4. My sister was new to the process and they didn't explain to her the dos and do-nots of getting your eyelashes done. For instance, don't wet within 24 hours, try not to use mascara or makeup remover on your eye but if must make sure they are water-based, etc. I repeat do NOT get your eyelashes done here!!! read more

I must admit. I'm a little upset. Exactly 1 week agai u paid 100 dollars for a full Natural set of eyelash extensions. Well the was the worst 100 dollars I ever threw away in my Life. First of all. It was as far from natural as possible. They were as long as the length of a football field. And so clumpy and thick. I cast a shadow every time I opened my eyes. Not to mention there was so much glue and eyelashes. My eye was red and irritated for 2 day. I was supposed to get them removed the next day but I have 3 children and life just happened so I just said whatever. I'm gonna deal with it. What's 2 weeks. Ohhh okkk. It's literally 7 days later. The amount of lashes that have fallen off. Is amazing. They are clumped on top if each other. I'm so upset. I wish I made the time to get them removed next day. And got my money back because it was a complete waste. I've had my lashes done plenty times. And never had this experience and I wasn't gonna go back if it wasn't the next day because that's just not right. So I just dealt. But now I have sparse lashes becamore than half of them fell off. Bought a Groupon for this place on the recommendation of a close friend. I was skeptical at first bc the pricing (3 chocolate Brazilian waxes for $39) seemed too good to be true. First Impressions: 1. The place is immaculate. Simplistic decor and plenty of comfortable seating while u wait 2. The staff is super friendly and polite 3. The staff is knowledgeable - when I made my first appointment, the young lady cautioned me against waxing too early without enough new growth as it could possibly damage my skin. Management: So I'm hella slow and ultimately ended up allowing my groupon to expire. I called to see what I could do and the owner allowed me to apply my $39 to the purchase of a Brazilian ($30) and underarm waxing ($10) so basically I only paid the tax. He also offered me the opportunity to purchase a special deal directly through them. Services: So I haven't had a wax in about 10years or so but I'm on this new make myself feel pretty on a regular basis thing so I added this to the list of things I wanted to do. My wax girl, Rima (pronounced ree-ma), was THE BEST!!!! She talked to me during the entire process and constantly checked in with me to make sure I was OK in regards to pain and comfort. I went in to have my eyelashes tinted- I have dark blonde hair so my eyelashes are very light. I have had them tinted black before a few years ago, and I was excited (well, hopeful) for an alternative to mascara. I called ahead to see if Blooming Brows had room for a walk-in eyelash tinting, and the receptionist said it was no problem. I was happy once I got there (about 30 minutes later), there was no wait at all! I was immediately put into a chair and one of the ladies started. She asked if I wanted top and bottom, and I said yes, and she started. Curiously, it started to really burn and my eyes began to water a few minutes in. She came to rinse it off, and said another woman had to do the bottom. When the other woman came, she said the first lady didn't know how to tint lashes, and she now had to do it all over again?! I had already been in the chair for ten minutes or so with burning eyes. They were really nice, but halfway through the original lady started taking pictures on her phone. I think she might've been training, but it felt very odd. It burnt less the second time. My results are lackluster, but I might've remembered my last tinting experience results as more magical than they actually were. My lashes are definitely darker, which is what I asked for. It also had a listed price of $12, and I was charged $15. Not sure if that has something to do with getting the top and the bottom done, but that seems standard. The place was large and clean with a very friendly staff. The girls next to me who both had their eyebrows done (one threaded and one tinted in the time I was there) both seemed satisfied. I got there and told the lady at the counter that I had a Groupon. She was great. Gave me great service and gave a great wax job. But when I went back out to pay, the guy was at the counter and asked if I had an appointment, to which I told him how I spoke to him on the phone about this. He proceeded to tell me that he can't take my Groupon because I didn't make an appointment, and that I needed to pay full price. First off I drive from Long Island to Brooklyn just to get waxed by Anna. I switched over from hard wax to chocolate wax back in May 2019 and it's been a wonderful experience. They place is really clean. The staff is very friendly. Sometimes there's a wait but make an appt and you should be fine. I recommend chocolate wax to everyone and I let them know to go here!! Found this establishment on Groupon, purchased several groupon's my first a bikini wax and went for it. Upon arrival the location is extremely spacious, clean and the staff are awesome, no doubt about that. They even take me sometimes without an appointment. Now my reasoning for the three stars. They use about 3-4 wax strips per wax session which means not every speck of hair is entirely being waxed, which is fine but when there are huge blobs of hair visibly unwaxed then there is a problem. That and the lighting in the wax rooms are extremely horrid. I've gotten leg waxes as well as bikini waxes, so I'm not exaggerating. I would so love to make this my normal wax spot but they need to fix that strip & light problem, I want to love them so much I wouldn't even mind bringing my own strips so they can wax me clean. read more

Disappointed. My first trip to this place was fine. I liked how cute and clean it looked and seemed to have a sufficient staff. Rema was sweet and pretended to care as she made small talk with me. The second time was terrible. I walk in on a Sunday and ask for the eyelashes they gave me to be removed and some more lashes put on for me. I laid back and the girl started applying some liquid to my eyes telling me not to open my eyes. Ok fine. I dutifully sit there but I can literally feel some of the stuff seep into my eye and my eye starts burning. I try to ignore it but I can feel it also enter the other eye so my eyes are BURNING. I sit up in pain and panic and the girl gets me a damp napkin while admonishing me for opening my eye. WTF I didnt! I lay back down again and she applies the stuff and when I ask her what it is she simply tells me "Remover." Im sitting there with my eyes closed for quite a while and it doesnt take me long to realize home girl straight up abandoned me in the chair. I am now sitting there wondering where the hell she went and why she ddnt think to say "Hey, I gotta take a whiz" or "I'm clocking out" Nothing! After awhile of listening out and wondering where the hell everyone went I got up and with burning eyes run to the sink. I start pulling the lashes off as my eyes are burning and Im very pissed. One lady who works there comes up and hands me some tissue. Finally with eyes still stinging I gather my things and go to the counter to pay for the removal. The one lady who had handed me the tissue decides to not even charge me as I explain to her why Im upset . That;s the only reason I am not giving the place two stars. Keep in mind I never saw the girl appear it what must have been at least 10 minutes so maybe she did indeed clock out and go home! She asked my preferences, gave recommendations on what lash length would give me the most natural effect for my face and overall listened to what I wanted. Plus, I am in love with the brow tint. I bought the Groupon for three Brazilian waxes. The first time the lady burned my skin by going over the same spot twice. The second and third time were alright I guess. They don't get everything but I guess enough for what you pay for. They offered me another three waxes for the same price as the Groupon. I came for the first one today and thank god I didn't have to pay until afterwards because after waiting 20 minutes, already undressed in the room, from the time of my appointment I had to leave to put more money in the meter for my car. The lady kept telling me to stay cause she would come in but I wasn't going to risk getting a ticket for a cheap wax. I didn't come back. Do not go here I visited this place a few months back and I still have skin issues. I was around 4 months pregnant and the lady was so unprepared she did even put powder each time. I had to remind her, it's cheap but sometimes cheap isn't good I fully regret visiting this place my skin has never been the same again since.
