Not sure where to begin. I went based on the reviews and they did not disappoint. 1st time waxer and Meenu made the expierene painless and entertaining. I love coming here to get serviced, I liked the manager they had but unfortunately she no longer works there, I've had pretty much every service done except for lashes; my daughter however gets hers done here. Okay so let's talk about my girl SILKIE....I LOVE HER! She is professional, she's friendly and very through! Silkie gets into every nook and cranny, I also like how she makes you feel comfortable and at ease when she is ripping out my fur lol. She has done my Brazilian, full legs, arms under arms maybe even my knuckles lol. She has also done a Gold facial on me (highly recommend) that was so relaxing. Overall I keep coming back to this place because of her. My daughters come here, when my aunt comes down from Indiana I bring her here, mom and cousins too. I got my brows threaded and it was a pretty good experience. There are a ton of ways that things can go wrong: over-threading, under-threading, brow hairs getting caught in your eye, the brow lady poking you in your eye, poor hand hygiene, etc... However, I'm happy to report that I experienced none of those things! For the great low price of six dollars, you can get all of your needs met in 5-10 minutes. read more

Came here for eyebrow threading on a Saturday afternoon. There were two people ahead of me, waited for about 15 minutes. Slow, interrupted service where the person doing my eyebrows kept stopping and walking over to the front desk speaking to her coworker and then would come back. Did this 4 times. Had to also point out areas that she missed. Only reason I came in a second time was the convenience of proximity to my apartment and $6 for eyebrow threading. First time wasn't any better of an experience. Also, $10 minimum is required for credit cards. Most likely will not come back and go back to my regular spot in park slope. read more

Yes it is cheaper than going to European wax center however when it comes to getting a Brazilian wax this involves waxing a sensitive/private area. Do yourself a favor and do not I repeat do not get a Brazilian wax here . They will leave wax all in your vagina. Not only that it may look as though they did a decent job up top but when you move around the lips There will definitely be a huge slab of wax residue that's hard to get out. This happened to me the first time I was being cheap and I came in a second time ...same experience. I will be taking myself back to European wax center for proper Brazilian wax. I'm giving 2 starts because from this being my first time, I will not be returning again. I bought a Groupon online for a chocolate Brazilian wax and in store they don't like to accept Groupons. Also they charge you tax for the Groupon as well. Anyhow.. I called to schedule an appointment someone answered & immediately put me on hold so I sat on the phone for about 15 minutes listening to everyone else's conversation. I decided to just hang up & call back. I finally got to schedule an appointment for 6:30. The day for my appointment comes and I walk into the place and I wasn't greeted by anyone so I just went to sign in. I finally got called on & told them I had a Groupon so they said I would have to come back another day and brushed me off. So I spoke to someone else and told her I had an appointment and they were looking for it but somehow, it wasn't written down. (The person who provided my service was the same person who brushed me off) My wax was terrible, I know a wax is usually painful but this is a lot. She was already upset about me having a Groupon and then having to do my service. She was rude and when I told her, she assumed I had never done a wax before and maybe it isn't for me. I still had long hairs in some areas and I had to pluck it out by myself. In conclusion, I am not going back. read more

I bought a Groupon for three chocolate Brazilian waxes, and was pleasantly surprised at how great the service was there. All the staff was very friendly and greeted me as soon as I walked in and the cleanliness of their store definitely didn't go unnoticed either. Very tidy and inviting environment. I scheduled an appointment for 4:45p.m and did not have to wait long at all. The lady that gave me my wax, I believe her name was Rima was such a joy. I was worried about the pain that would happen since I have been shaving all summer, but with her patient demeanor, warm smile and great conversation, it distracted me from all the pain I expected to feel. Walked in and it took ~10 minutes which I didn't mind at all since they have couches for waiting. The service took ~15 minutes, so I was in and out and relatively pain free. They turned out uneven and badly shaped. Another technician tried to fix her problem. She did an alright job, but unfortunately, the correction left my eyebrows pencil thin. This is my favorite waxing place ever. They're very sanitary (they do not double dip) and the overall ambience looks very clean and pleasant. I also really respect and love the customer service. So I decided to give Blooming Brows a chance because they had a Groupon listed for $15 and also good reviews on Yelp. I am very happy I decided to try them. The person who serviced me name was Nirmale. Nirmale threaded my eyebrows perfectly and gave me a great wax. She was very sweet and knows what she is doing. She was very gentle and concerned throughout the entire process. I expressed to her this is my second time getting a wax and I'm a little nervous. She kept telling me if we need a break to let her know. After my wax was done, I did not feel any discomfort and/or did I experience any swelling after the fact. I also didn't feel like she was trying to up-sell me on any other services because I also told her I wanted my legs waxed and she said to return in 2 weeks to get my legs waxed because if she does it right now most of the hair will not wax.
