Was in the area and found this gem. Hidden a little bit as the store front is below ground level. Parking is a nightmare but there is 2 hour parking available. Clean store with a simple display and menu. Soft serve ice cream available but it was too brisk today to consider getting some. See prices of cookies and ice cream in pictures. Cookies look appealing and there were some unique flavors. One bench inside the store to sit on if you wanted to eat your cookie inside for a minute but not a place to sit for long. No public bathroom. I asked if they had any gluten-free options and the lady pulled out a tupperware of chocolate haystack cookies not on the menu. Said they are gluten-sensitive as all the ingredients are gluten-free but they are made where wheat is used frequently and therefore cannot guarantee completely gluten free. I got 3 for my gluten-sensitive friend who said they were well made - soft, chewy, chocolatey. I got the Featured Sammy, toffee pretzel, and lemon cardamom. Featured Sammy - coconut cookies with an icing like filling. Cookie was soft, icing was a little too sweet and boring for me. Toffee pretzel - really nice soft cookie. sad I only had the tiniest pretzel chunk and 1 chunk of toffee. Lemon cardamom - lovely flavor - not overwhelming but flavorful, soft cookie.

Bloom is open on 124th st folks - Go check them out !!!

I Have been waiting for Bloom Cookie Co. to open a flag ship store, and my dreams have been answered. Blooms slogan is made to share, I couldn't agree more! With all options being Egg and Dairy free, you can do just that!! Today I picked up a dozen cookies to gift a friend, Im finding It hard to keep my hands out of this box. It's a great lesson in self control ! Today I picked up short Bread, ginger snap, London fog & chocolate chip. Bloom has some pretty cool rotating options like Lemon Cardamom, oatmeal stout - which contains stout from a local brewery, and Maple French toast. This is just to name a few, I believe they're rotating list boasts eight or nine cool flavour combinations. Bloom caters big events ie: Your wedding or smaller occasions like gift baskets. Parking on 124 st is paid, If you are shopping at a retailer, some have complementary parking in the back. You can stop in and pick up your cookies on the way back home :) Located beside Prairie noodle. Enjoy !!

Cookies paired with a macchiato from Credo next door.

Freshly baked cookies? Standards like chocolate chip and some more exotic varieties? Friendly service? Reasonable prices? Yes, please! I tried a London Fog and chocolate butter cream cookie last week. The London Fog was crispy on the outside, and chewy with a mellow flavour. It's a step up for people who like a plain sugar cookie. The chocolate butter cream was like a certain popular commercial cookie, but better. The chocolate cookies were thick and chewy, with a huge dollop of butter cream in the middle. This was my favourite of the two. I will be back to try more!

There was a large cake, cake slices, macarons in 2 different flavours, 2 different cream puffs, and I believe a few other items. They also advertised they have bubble tea, halo halo, and various pops. Behind the counter, there were white steamed buns and the gentleman working there told us there was pork inside. There were a few trays of baked breads and also a warmed with chicken empanadas. After lunch we went back to pick up a few things. I got 2 empanadas ($1.99 each) and 2 cream puffs ($2.25 each). My friend had one of the cakes before and said it was sweet so I decided not to try any as I don't like overly sweet desserts. Later that day, I had the cream puff and it was filled with lots of fluffy cream. The chicken empanada filling reminded me of what I use when I make chicken pot pie without the liquid. For $2, there was a decent amount of chicken but it was sweet and I prefer more savoury. I heated it in the toaster oven so the outside shell would be crispy and it was flaky and warm inside. If I'm in the area, I would go back and see what else they had. It's great to support a local business and the service was friendly.

I started the meal with the Don Vito cocktail, a spirit forward sweet concoction of Cognac, Bourbon and Limoncello. Immediately felt like it set the perfect tone for dinner. The tasting menu started with four appetizers, the Arancini, Goat Ricotta Crostini, Insalata Siciliana and the Culatello. My favorite was the arancini as it was packed full of melty cheese with so much flavor. The culatello was a crowd favorite and the crostini was a great palate cleanser. For secondi we had the Truffle Gnudi and Paccheri. For people who like meaty flavors go with the paccheri, but I liked the light cheese and truffle of the gnudi. By the time the Pollo Al Mattone came around, I could only manage a mouthful of the succulent brick chicken and the fresh cabbage salad as I was so full and would need to be rolled out of the restaurant. We ended with the Chocolate Budino, which was dark, creamy and delicious. A great tasting menu at a great price, especially compared to Toronto prices!

The appetizer with the cheese on toast was so much more flavorful than cheese on toast should be. Our companions had a pasta dish with sausage and it was amazing. If I lived in the area this would be a favorite to return to often. I like that the bartender just works on drinks for servers and there aren't patrons directly ordering drinks from him to slow the service.
