She had an incredible idea for the Neon Glow party! From the gorgeous decorations to the flawless party flow, it seemed like every detail had been carefully thought out. I had an extremely disappointing experience working with Nikki from NC Event Designs. We worked…read moreclosely with her for almost 8 months leading up to my wedding, including multiple meetings, site visits, mock-ups, and detailed conversations about exactly what I wanted. Throughout the planning process, I was repeatedly reassured that the decor would look like the inspiration photos I provided. Nikki would tell me that she understood my vision and that it would be executed accordingly. Once the wedding came and I expressed that I was unhappy with how things turned out, her response completely changed and I was told that inspiration photos are "just inspiration" and that it was never going to look exactly like them. That was extremely frustrating considering the expectations that had been set for months beforehand. There were also several issues during the actual events. First when I entered the hall the stage wasn't even complete I had to call Nikki to come back and fiThe stage broke during my wedding, and the chairs provided were extremely poor quality to the point that multiple guests fell out of them. On one of my two event days, the decor was also not completed on time. After spending months planning every detail and trusting someone with such important events, these are not things you expect to be dealing with on your wedding day. I also found the way things were handled afterward to be extremely unprofessional. I specifically told Nikki that I did not want my wedding or event posted on social media. She still posted a video and then proceeded to block me on Instagram. She also made negative comments and started unnecessary rumors involving me and my wedding coordinator, who I absolutely loved working with and never had any issues with. My husband and my in-laws were also brought into situations and conversations that were completely unnecessary. I found this incredibly inappropriate and unprofessional, especially from someone we had trusted and worked so closely with for months. I put a lot of trust into Nikki and NC Event Designs for one of the most important times in my life, and unfortunately the experience was nothing like what I expected after 8 months of planning. I felt that a lot was promised throughout the process, but when it came time to deliver, the expectations that had been set were suddenly changed. Your wedding day is something you cannot get back or redo, which is why this experience was so upsetting for me. , I would never recommend NC Event Designs.

We don't often leave reviews for other vendors (though we should) but we wanted to specifically point out a few things about Makenna that were noteworthy: *Her communication and organization before the wedding was superb. She was very clear and concise and her timeline was super detailed and well organized (we cannot say the same about all timelines we get from planners) *On the day of the event, she was very composed and relaxed! This may seem like a strange thing to point out, but this is the mark of someone who is good at what they do. It's not that she is "chill" or "doesn't care" it's because she's done her legwork and due diligence before the event to make sure that the day of goes smoothly *She goes above and beyond! There were a few venue issues that were solely the fault of the venue and no one else, Makenna immediately stepped in to help rectify these. She even got in her car and did a run to grab ice mid event (who does that???). Overall she is a true pro and made our day (and our client's wedding) amazing! She's also flexible and can work within your budget for the services that you need. Having an experienced day of coordinator is really important since it alleviates the stress for the bride and groom and we are so glad that we booked Dia and Her! Additionally, prior to our wedding, Dia and her husband met up with us to tour our wedding venue together so that they can get a better idea of how the big day would look like. Dia really helped us with the rehearsal practice the day prior to our wedding and lined everyone up accordingly. On the day of our wedding, everything went smoothly thanks to Dia's coordination. There was a small hiccup with our catering team during dinner and Dia was able to help address it so that we weren't stressed about our guests not having water. Additionally, throughout our wedding day, Dia made sure to remind us to eat snacks, drink water, and even grabbed us a plate of food/appetizers when we were getting ready and taking photos. Not only that but made sure to grab us a drink from the bar and asked if we needed anything. Having a true one-stop shop for our photographer, videographer, DJ, and officiant made the entire wedding planning process so much easier and significantly reduced the stress that comes with coordinating multiple vendors. One of the things we loved most was that, even though everyone worked under the same company, we were still able to choose the specific professionals we wanted from their roster of talent. It gave us the perfect balance of convenience and personalization. We were fortunate to have Andrea as our photographer, Hai as our videographer, DJ Tri as our DJ and MC, and Brad as our officiant--and every single one of them exceeded our expectations. Andrea was absolutely amazing to work with. She was creative, patient, made us feel comfortable in front of the camera, captured every meaningful moment so naturally, and was always one step ahead in anticipating the perfect shot. Our wedding photos turned out so beautifully and brings us to happy tears. We cannot wait to cherish these photos for the rest of our lives. Hai did an incredible job capturing the details, emotions and special moments throughout our day. He was extremely professional, creative, knew how to get the best footage/lighting, and somehow managed to document everything without ever feeling intrusive. We fully trusted Hai in documenting our wedding day. We are confident that our wedding film that Hai produces will allow us to relive the magic of our special day for years to come. DJ Tri completely understood the vibe we wanted for our wedding. We hired a string quartet for our ceremony and cocktail hour, and DJ Tri provided his own sound system in order to amplify their music. For the reception, he kept the energy exactly where it needed to be, and transitioned the music we requested so well throughout the evening (from island reggae, to country music, to hip hop). He also kept the timeline running smoothly and made every transition feel seamless. Brad was the perfect officiant for our wedding. He delivered a meaningful ceremony that felt personal, genuine, and truly reflected us as a couple. We received so many compliments from our guests about how beautiful the ceremony was.
