The interior of the hotel itself is very clean though it is a little on the older side, it is well kept. Our room was very clean and soooo inviting. The beds are very comfortable, the parking lot was less than fifty steps to the front door of our room, the lobby is large with tables, chairs and sofas scattered throughout the interior of the hotel for all guests to relax , study/use computers or have a meal or a cup of coffee. There is a convenient bistro located in the hotel, a mini snack shop, a Starbucks coffee shop, a small but very nice gym, a pool and jacuzzi and numerous tables and chairs in a covered patio-like area adjacent to the pool . The ONLY two complaints I had was that the AC worked PERFECTLY but it was noisy. The AC went off every ten to fifteen minutes which kept the room sooooo nice and cool but again, it was noisy. The other issue was the small television in our room. It was perhaps a thirty-two inch TV which is rare nowadays as most hotels offer fifty to fifty-five inch televisions. The picture was very clear and did the job but I am definitely prefer a larger picture. Again, not a big deal but definitely worth mentioning. I would stay here again as it is a nice hotel and very convenient to the Cal Expo which is the reason my family and I are here, to attend the California State Fair which is approximately 1/2 mile (at the most) from our hotel

Stayed here for one night, and unfortunately, it was a terrible experience…read more To begin with, the room felt damp and musty, and we noticed a section of the carpet that was wet. Around 2:30 a.m., as my boyfriend was getting into bed, he spotted a bed bug crawling on the bed. We immediately contacted the front desk, and they offered to move us to another room. However, we were so disgusted and concerned about bringing bed bugs home that we decided to leave the hotel altogether and drive back to SF in the middle of the night. I later contacted the manager, not only to request compensation for our stay but also to make sure the issue was investigated, as it could indicate a larger infestation. He told me maintenance would inspect the room and that he would follow up with me. Despite several follow-up attempts on my part, I never received a response. Regardless of the investigation's outcome, the lack of communication and customer service was extremely disappointing. At the very least, I expected the courtesy of a follow-up. Don't stay here!

Everyone raved about his food and mango juice. Some of us even filled hydro flasks and a ziplock bag to take home the leftover juice. His pork(I think) with pineapple was the absolute best! Everyone went back for seconds. There were no leftovers of that one. Also, Oscar was so nice. I got to speak to him while we were trying to clean up.

We worked with her recently just to rent a chuppah and chair covers for our wedding. She was absolutely professional, great at keeping in communication with me, and she did a timely beautiful job. A lot of the rental places I looked at in Sacramento were very expensive, especially for a chuppah (wedding canopy). We just wanted to rent a simple canopy draped with pretty white fabric, nothing crazy. It seemed (1) impossible to find, and (2) crazy-expensive when we did find it. Marine saved the day! She had BY FAR the best price on a beautiful chuppah that she hand-draped with gorgeous ivory satin fabric (although she had many different fabrications and colors to choose from). We were so happy with it. It looked absolutely elegant. She has pictures all over her web site of the sort of thing she offers. The chair cover search was another nightmare. Many places in town are very expensive ($4 to $7 per chair cover) and their covers were often stained and fraying. Marine's chair covers looked immaculate and were far less expensive. When it comes to wedding vendors, you want people you can trust to show up on time and do a good job. I had a great experience with Marine, and I highly recommend her.

They said they were consulting their attorney.... Don't know the pit one of that... It's unfortunate because my other vendors and venues worked with me the best way they could. Grand Island Mansion provided a full refund for my wedding, my photographer provided a partial refund and offered me a credit to use for other photograph services, videographer full refund, florist provided a partial refund and a credit for future services, hair/makeup full refund, AirbnB refund etc. I just don't think they handled this well..never heard from them & we're out over $750 for services never rendered do to no fault of either parties. I understand businesses were doing the best they could to survive but there was no follow through or communication to come to a mutual agreement.

(Our wedding was in May 2019) Long Version: Doug and Dara were the best to work with! Not only did they help bring some of our crazy ideas to fruition, they also offered some unique ideas to make the night memorable as well. My only regret is that I didn't take advantage of all the special things they offered. They were great with coordinating our wedding and worked seamlessly with our venue and other vendors. It was raining on the day of our wedding, so Doug and Dara scrambled to move us back and forth between our original outside venue and an inside option. Ultimately, we were able to make the outdoor ceremony work. Thank goodness we had them to coordinate with everybody. She really kept me and my husband from feeling the stress . The ceremony sound was perfect! Doug provided all the microphones for my now husband, our officiant, and wedding singer; they worked flawlessly throughout. And as a result, our wedding videographer was able to capture our wedding vows clearly and with no drop offs. Inside the ballroom for the reception, the lights they provided were fantastic! They illuminated the room and really captured the mood of the night. Soft calming colors were used during dinner and speeches, but when it was dance time, the club lights came out. Everyone had a great time! We are so happy we chose Music on the Move for DJ, MC, and lights. They made wedding planning that much easier and were so much fun to work with!
