Definition of Dream Wedding Planner: Aimee Wendell. I'm not sure what I miss more, her or my wedding day! If you're looking to plan the wedding of your dreams, Aimee is your gal. She is truly one of the best in the business, and literally exudes professionalism and class. I am still in awe of what she was able to create for my wedding. I hired Aimee as a full-service planner for our Carmel, CA wedding, and she somehow managed to go above and beyond the meaning of full service. She's remarkably organized (as someone who plans events myself, this is so appreciated), attentive, budget conscious, transparent, responsive/communicative and genuinely cares about her brides. Aside from her personality (she's so dang funny and sweet), I also loved how collaborative she was and how she wants to ensure YOUR vision is brought to life. However, she isn't afraid to take over when you need her to. Example: there were a few times when I needed to pass the reins to Aimee last minute to make something happen when I didn't have the time or brain space - and without hesitation, she nailed it every time. Seriously, every time. She asks the questions you'd never think of and she notices the details most people wouldn't. I always felt like she was my teammate and she's 100% worthy of your trust to get the job done. I had a very specific vision in mind for my wedding, and it's beyond me how well Aimee executed. She managed every big and small detail for me, communicated clearly to everyone involved so I didn't have to - and she even wiped my tears over something that stressed me out on rehearsal day that had nothing to do with her! I vividly remember being a month out from my wedding and saying to her "I feel like I'm supposed to be stressed, but I'm feeling good" and in hindsight, it's because Aimee was doing an incredible job. My entire wedding went off without a hitch, and if there was a hitch, I never knew about it because that's how Aimee rolls: a stress-free bride = happy bride. Honestly never written a review before but Aimee is a miracle worker!!!! There are no words I can say to justify how absolutely incredible she made my wedding day! Aimee planned my sisters wedding 5 years ago and I already saw how amazing and on top of it she was, but WOW did she far exceed and surpass any and all expectations I had for my wedding. Aimee is nothing sort of a miracle worker! When COVID hit, most of my friends suggested I reschedule my wedding, but my fiance and I were set on pushing forward. I expected our planner to suggest we postpone as well, but she blazed the way for us and made it all happen, without compromise, even after having to change our venue 3.5 weeks before the date! Working with 2Chic Events was one of the worst experiences of our lives and nearly ruined our entire wedding. We recently moved to California after growing up in Boston, MA, where our families are still located. Since we are not familiar with the area, we chose to utilize the services of a wedding planner to assist in navigating the planning process and choosing reputable vendors. Our initial meeting with Aimee Wendell from 2Chic Events was on 1/28/12 and during this meeting she suggested Cabo for a wedding location. We loved the idea and Aimee assured us she had extensive experience in Cabo and would be qualified to plan a wedding there. Aimee was responsible for assisting us in booking a venue but the venues she provided either did not match our budget, or did not match the few requirements we had (budget friendly for guests, small venue, character). Aimee had emphasized her familiarity with Cabo, yet the venues seemed very limited. We began to doubt how well she knew Cabo and ended up doing the venue search on our own. Once we chose the venues, we asked her to follow-up for additional information. Aimee was travelling to Cabo on vacation and told us we should travel there during her stay so we could look at venues in person. During the trip, Aimee did not know about the existence of major landmarks in Cabo. She had offered to drive us to the site visits then decided the day before, she did not feel comfortable driving in Cabo. During the site visits Aimee did not ask many questions and seemed disengaged. We were greatly disappointed by her behavior as we thought she would be leading the negotiations and obtaining the required information. Aimee was also supposed to provide a wedding budget and track expenses to that budget. Although she did provide an initial budget 2 months after signing the contract, it did not include items we told her we would be financially responsible for. We repeatedly asked for a more detailed budget that included the venue costs and additional items we requested. Unfortunately we never received this. When we finally found our venue, Aimee informed us she was not able to connect with the venue manager to follow up on our questions and obtain the contract. After over 3 weeks we were in danger of losing our date, we still did not have the contract or the detailed budget we had been asking for, and we concluded we needed to end our relationship with 2Chic Events in the best interest of our wedding. After 6 months of working with 2Chic Events, the only completed item was the booking of our photographer. The breakdown in trust made it impossible for us to continue working with her, especially on one of the most important days of our lives. A month after ending our relationship with Aimee, we received an email from her demanding an additional $750 to cover her hard costs. We informed her that we would be open to a discussion, but felt she had been paid fairly through our prior payment and asked for an explanation regarding the specific amount and requested receipts for the hard costs she referred to. Aimee then proceeded to threaten us and refused to provide any additional information and told us her demands were not negotiable. In response, we stressed that without any sort of explanation; we did not feel comfortable paying an additional fee. In this email we requested to resolve the matter through mediation, but were served with papers on 10/4/12 to attend Small Claims Court! We were completely shocked, as the last thing we needed after everything was to go to court and pay additional money after having to find and hire a new wedding planner (who planned and booked 80% of our wedding in 2 weeks!!!) I can't comment on her wedding planning in Northern CA, but having her plan a destination wedding was a complete disaster, in addition to taking a huge emotional toll. For someone who plans weddings for a living, I was shocked to see the extent she went to in order to ruin our wedding after we let her go. read more

My husband and I decided to start our wedding planning process pretty early. About 18 months prior to our wedding, in fact. We were going back and forth as to whether we needed a wedding planner, but we decided to contact a few local planners just to see what services they could provide to us. We contacted around 3-4, but one planner immediately connected with us. We did not know how lucky we were at the time, but Aimee Wendell from 2Chic promptly emailed us back, and magic happened! She was very warm, friendly, and easy to talk to so we decided to meet her in person for a consultation. We really didn't know what to expect when we first met Aimee in person, but when we walked into her office, I knew I loved her sense of style! She talked with us and made us feel at ease, right from the get go. My husband and I really had no clue as to what we wanted for the wedding. We needed help - STAT! Aimee was able to understand what we wanted, and we couldn't have been happier to have her be a part of the planning process. Even though we started the planning process super early, Aimee kept in constant contact with us, even if it was just to say hi. Aimee has such a personal touch which makes working with her such a joy. But it is really Aimee's talent and dedication to her clients that need to be highlighted. Aimee was there at our engagement shoot and she designed the entire look and feel of the photo shoot. She was there for pretty much all of the meetings with the vendors and helped us through the entire decision making process. Without her, we would have been so lost. When I talk about dedication, I am remembering instances like when Aimee and the entire 2Chic team stepped in at the 9th hour to help assemble our favors when my husband and I were freaking out because we realized we did not have enough time to do it ourselves. When I talk about talent, I recall the jaw dropping design she came up for our venue which included patterned ceiling lights and unique escort cards. Truthfully, there is no review that can encompass how great Aimee is. I am truly, truly grateful that we hired Aimee to be our wedding planning because not only did she plan the most AWESOME wedding ever, but she is honestly someone that I can now call my friend! As a wedding DJ that has worked over 2,100 weddings in my life, I've seen wedding planners come and go in the area, I've seen good and bad and everything in-between, and worked events that were smooth as can be and definitely a few that were a little chaotic. Aimee and the 2Chic team have got it figured out. Working with wedding planners is not always the easiest task for other vendors, unless you have the special touch to lead without stepping on toes. I save my comments about wedding and event professionals for the ones that are truly top notch. Without a doubt, Aimee and the 2Chic staff are up there with the best of them on the West Coast. The BEST decision I made in all of my wedding planning was hiring Aimee as our wedding planner. I think I am one of the few brides who actually can look back and confidently say that I enjoyed every bit of wedding planning and my wedding day...this is because of Aimee. She is a poised professional, with the most refreshing warm, yet calm energy about her. My fiancé and I had a clear vision for our music festival themed wedding. WEDFEST! That is the THEME our youngest daughter wanted for her wedding. She needed a planner who could understand and envision exactly what a WEDFEST backyard wedding would be like yet make it unique and fun...but still a wedding. When we first met Aimee we loved how poised and calm she was...but on the inside her brain was churning with ideas as she shared her "festival" experiences with us. Aimee was our gal. After our first meeting with Aimee we immediately received a check list of what we needed to do and with deadlines in which these items should be completed. Being a pretty "organized" mother and daughter team...we LOVED this! Aimee had her own much larger binder where she kept all the nitty gritty details. She was always thinking many steps ahead of us...and her organized check list kept us on task. She did her best to help us keep in our budget and would recommend several vendors for each wedding area and let us make the final decision. We enjoyed meeting different vendors...and sometimes with Aimee. Her vendor recommendations were incredible!!!! The week before the wedding we received a FULL time-line that detailed each moment of the day including the rehearsal the night before. The morning of the wedding Aimee showed up with her staff and I must say that everything ran like clockwork. Having a backyard wedding could have been a stressful affair; however, my daughter, bridesmaids, hubby, son-in-law and myself...were able to enjoy the wedding day....STRESS FREE!!!!! We could look outside and see everything coming together...I had NO idea it was going to come together as it did...it was just specatcular...and not once was there any panic or issue. Aimee saved us! We had signed up with Aimee a few months before our wedding and she literally saved us...in many, many ways! Everything that you could imagine seemed to be going wrong with our wedding -- we had to cancel our venue, we weren't communicating well with our caterer, our photographer was becoming a HUGE disappointment, and we ended up needing a new DJ literally two days before our big day! Yet, Aimee turned our crisis into opportunity. For every problem, she had a solution, and in the end, our wedding was significantly better for the changes. My husband and I definitely lucked out being able to work with Aimee for our wedding in October 2016. We had booked the partial planning service but I feel like she helped with a large amount of the planning, which was such a plus on my part. She loves what she does and it helps to work with someone that doesn't make it seem like you're forcing them to do something. I could go on and on about how great she is, but I will just highlight one moment that she saved me during the planning process. I was extra stressed with some of the vendors and our venue had changed to a new venue coordinator, who was difficult to work with. Aimee offered to communicate to the venue coordinator on my part so that our requests were acknowledge in a timely-manner. Aimee was on our side every time we met with the venue coordinator because I felt so uncomfortable working with the new one. On the day of our wedding, Aimee and her team were awesome in putting the little details together and keeping it stress-free so we can focus on the celebration! I was extremely fortunate that Aimee was available to help plan a somewhat last-minute destination wedding in Lake Tahoe! I had 2 months to organize what was was supposed to be a wedding with a few dozen people, but which quickly turned into well over 100 people. Aimee to the rescue! She was amazing at referring me to local vendors and helping me prioritize tasks. I was very impressed by her responsiveness, professionalism, attention to detail, and ability to take care of unexpected issues (even those that I didn't know at the time were occurring). Although I had chosen the wedding venue site and Aimee independently, the staff at the site knew her well and it was clear that they love working with her because of her expertise--and because she is a lovely person! Even our DJ, whom we hired just a couple weeks before the wedding date, said, "Oh, Aimee is your wedding coordinator? You have nothing to worry about then!" On the day of, she must have been at 3 places at once to make sure everything ran smoothly. Not only did she help, but she created a experience that my wife and I will cherish and never will forget. Wedding planning can become very challenging and can create a lot of different emoitions.
