I messaged them to inform my interest in micro blading. Communion was very easy as to scheduling and signing of waivers regarding the procedure. Today was the day I got it done. Zarah herself did the procedure for me. It took us almost four hours to get the job done. She was very patient and meticulous with the process to make sure that I'll be happy with the outcome. She made me very happy because she did my eyebrows the way I wanted it, not too thick and not too dark for others not to be able to recognize me. I went through the entire process without a need for numbing cream. I felt fine and as a matter of fact, I fell asleep. That's how light Zahra's hands are. In case you won't be able to handle it, a numbing cream is readily available. The salon is very bright and clean. There's a clean restroom at the end of the hall shared with other tenants. There's private parking free for two hours and a flat rate fee of $5 if you exceed the two hours. Aside from Zahra, I also got to meet Yaren and Ayjan. Very nice ladies who made sure my visit was a pleasant. They made me feel very comfortable and at ease. I instantly felt I'm in good hands. I highly recommend this place. When I first came in, my skin barrier was in really bad shape from trying way too many products and doing way too much to my skin. They told me my skin barrier was super thin and needed a lot of TLC. After consistently coming here for the past three years, my skin barrier is SO much stronger, my skin is clearer, and so much more glowy. I only wear a tiny bit of concealer in my day to day and get SO many compliments on my skin now. This was not the case before and I owe it all to Joy (my facialist)! Joy is my facialist, and she is truly the best. I absolutely love seeing her and look forward to every facial. Her treatments feel like a combination of a lymphatic drainage massage, extractions, and LDM all in one. It's so relaxing, but at the same time, I always leave feeling like my skin has actually been taken care of and reset. She knows my skin so well and always knows exactly what I need. Anytime I have an emerging pimple, it completely disappears after my facial because of her work. I also get microneedling here about once a month or every other month, and it has completely transformed my skin texture. I really appreciate that they don't just do the same thing every time, they look at what my skin needs and will add things like red light therapy or whatever they think will help with healing and getting the best results. I also get Botox here, and this is genuinely the best place I've ever gone for Botox. I've had some pretty bad Botox experiences in the past, including in Korea, where I really hated how it looked. At Irene's, my Botox is always done very conservatively and naturally. I still look like myself, just more refreshed. And to top it off, the entire staff is amazing. They specialize in completely natural, streamlined brows that are custom bladed according to each individual. No offense here, but most brow bars that I've seen go with the "instagram brow". You know, the thick, heavy handed, cookie cutter brow that is one size, one shape fits all. It's not unique to the individual. This studio provides an entirely different experience. I had a free consultation with Green, she walked me through the process and let me know what to expect. During my first appointment, Sherri consulted with me briefly, sketching a brow shape on my face that worked with my natural brow lines. She sanitized and numbed my brows, and the micro blading process was comfortable and smooth. She went over aftercare with me, and the entire appointment took about an hour. Talk about an artist. She's technically and artistically gifted. Hair stroke precision. Literally. If you've never had your brows done, here are a few observations based on my experience: The ink will get lighter. It will fade a little or a lot depending on your skin. You may go home, look in the mirror a few times and realize you'd like a tweak here or there. That's why you go in for the touch up. They say "don't worry" for a reason. I wanted to extend my left brow a bit, and I wanted them a bit thicker. They cover all of that in the follow up visit. So, don't feel unnecessarily alarmed about the little details, you're in good hands and it is all part of the process. I had my touch up with Green. Amazing personality, she's proficient and professional. She had no fewer than 4 back to back appointments that day, and she kept things moving quickly while still devoting her full time and attention to each client. She took her time, and she made sure to treat my eyebrows with the detail and effort that they deserved. This is a big deal for me, the eyebrows are a major focal point of the face. I received the royal treatment. Sherri and Green are the definition of professional. They're brilliant, intuitive and they KNOW their stuff. I will be a lifetime loyal client.
