I tried out Junko's services because a mutual client (I'm a photographer) highly recommended her. She 100000% delivered and my relationship with lashes has been saved! LOL What I loved: Her salon is clean, cute and cozy. Before we started, Junko took some time to understand what I wanted and had recommendations based on my eye shape. She is so gentle half the time I didn't even know if she was actually doing anything! I fell into the deepest lash nap EVER. Did not feel any fumes at all. My eyes weren't red or irritated even after laying there for almost 2.5 hours. Usually other salons have told me I can't get my lashes wet for 24 hours but her method/glue dries within 5-6 hours. So convenient! My lashes are voluminous yet natural looking and feel SOOOO weightless. Junko herself is so sweet and personable. I felt like I was just hanging out with a friend. For the investment, it honestly was a lot for me - someone who has never been loyal to a beauty service like this - but after the whole experience I feel it was 100% worth it!!!!! My lashes lasted 4.5 weeks before I went back in for a fill. That's INSANE! I save time and money by going to Junko. From the beginning of my appointment, I told the technician multiple times that my eyes were hurting because of the glue, the materials she was using, and the strip placed on my lower lash line--especially on my left eye--which was poking directly into my eye. I repeated this several times. She removed and reapplied the strip multiple times, yet the pain continued. My eyes were flinching and tearing uncontrollably because of how uncomfortable and painful it was. Instead of acknowledging the issue, she tried to blame me for "having lashes ruined." I wish Alena had listened more carefully and taken my concerns seriously. Her response was unprofessional and dismissive--and I later noticed another review describing a similar issue just the day before my appointment. When I finally opened my eyes, they were extremely red and burning, and the spot where the strip had pressed into my eye is still painful. I was left with a scratch under my left eye and an allergic reaction that has already been documented by a doctor. Despite causing me injury, they charged an outrageous amount. To make matters even worse, I later discovered they have video and audio recording equipment inside the premises without informing clients, which is a serious issue in a dual-consent state like California. Beware of this place. Protect yourself and avoid it at all costs.

The reviews were great, and booking online was easy. I accidentally booked the wrong service since I was transitioning from acrylics, but Olga caught it right away and worked with the front desk to make sure I wasn't overcharged which was so appreciated! The receptionist was also incredibly kind and welcoming. The salon is spotless, they offer you a drink when you arrive, and the service was excellent. I got an acrylic removal, hard gel manicure, and French tips. Olga was very detailed and checked in throughout to make sure I loved the shape and look. I'm so happy with the results and will definitely be back to see her and maybe even try their lash services next!
