I feel so lucky to have found Cindy after a long search before getting eyelash extensions for the first time. That was a few months ago, and now I look forward to my appointment every 3-4 weeks. Cindy is an artist with eyelashes, after reading reviews of other salons, I was a bit tentative about possible pain during the procedure. After the first few minutes, I realized I was in trustworthy, magical hands and spent the next 35-40 minutes feeling almost nothing, as I chatted with Cindy. Her quick, precise movements almost make it hard to believe anything is happening, that is until I get to open my eyes at the end and look in the mirror to see the longest and most beautiful lashes I've ever seen on myself. If I could only pick one professional beauty splurge treatment, this would be it, I honestly would start dyeing and cutting my own hair (which would be a tragedy); but if it came down to choosing, the eyelashes Cindy blesses me with would win every time. My biggest issue (which isn't one really at all) is deciding whether or not to admit to people that they are extensions when they compliment me on my long lashes. I can't even believe how many random people notice my lashes now, and mention how lucky I am; and when I tell them the lashes are all thanks to Cindy's handiwork and not nature, people are genuinely shocked. But, to be honest, I love that if I do decide to keep quiet about not 'being born with it' and just accept their compliments with a smile, they are none the wiser. I could seriously go on and on about all the reasons I drive all the way from Long Beach to go to Blink every few weeks; but honestly you should go find out for yourself... just don't be surprised when Cindy's eyelash extensions become practically a necessity in your beauty routine. read more

I got a spray tan from Karla and I have gotten a lot of compliments! No one has even guessed that it was a spray tan. Even my mom, who is against the idea of spray tanning told me I looked tan and was stunned when I told her it was a spray tan. Karla really listens to what color you want to be and does a great job spray tanning you. My feet and hands look great, which can be problem areas if you have a spray tan. I'm really disappointed in the service I received. I've been going to a place in Oakland for about a year now and moved back to the South Bay for work so needless to say I was looking for a new lash lady. The woman I made an appointment with at blink was late when I got there. She tried her best to be accommodating but the lash set she put on me got a lot of glue in my eyes and on the lashes. When I left my eyes were still burning. By the end of the day my lashes were really crunchy and half of the lashes were really stiff and stuck together. It really hurt when I shut my eyes or blinked hard. I thought I would give it another day to get use to them but they hurt and bothered me so much I had to call them to try to get them removed but they were closed for the next 2 days. When someone called me 3 days later I was out of town and asked if I can get in at the end of the week but but no one responded back to my text. By the end of the week when I pressed on my lashes each one of them would fall off. I was overly charged for these lashes and it was definitely not worth it. I feel sooooo lucky to have found Cindy! I am a surfer and my lashes go through what I would consider a battle, in wash machine-like conditions of the ocean, four times a week. I'd never done anything like this. I have a really bad problem with people applying anything to my eyes. When I came in the girls here were super nice. When they started the procedure, I started to freak out. I was embarrassed & had I been them, I would of just let me leave. I am a HUGE Blink Studio fan. I have had both eyelash extensions and waxing done and they are by far the BEST in both of these areas. I have to admit, I was pretty nervous to get eyelash extensions the first time. I had never had them before, but had been desperately wanting to try them because I have pathetically short, sparse lashes of my own. After reading the rave reviews for Blink Studio, I decided to give them a try. I AM SO HAPPY I DID!! Karla did my eyelash extensions and she is beyond AMAZING. Karla immediately put my fears at ease. She explained everything she was doing and why. I loved that. Not only did she take the time to explain everything she was doing, but she also explained the products - the different types of lashes, the different types of glue and the trade-offs for each of these things. I love that she took the time to educate me, which made me feel even more comfortable and at ease. While I very much appreciate the time Karla took to educate me on lashes, the most important thing was how the lashes looked and felt. I have to tell you Karla was meticulous in her application of the lashes and boy do I reap the benefits of the pride she takes in her work. My lashes are flawless every time I go!! Karla is able to make my lashes long, full, beautiful and she does it in a way that makes my extensions look like my real lashes! I have received so many compliments on my lashes, but the biggest compliment is the fact that people are always shocked when I tell them my lashes are extensions. I love having eyelash extensions, but I love even more that people think they are actually my real banging lashes! OMG!!!!! I love Karla, she is the best! I have never gotten eyelashes before and for the most part, I am a pretty low maintenance kind of girl, but I decided to get eyelashes for a trip to Las Vegas. Karla spent 15 minutes with me talking about what type of eyelash I wanted. WARNING: if your lashes fall out or are done incorrectly here, Karla will then turn you away saying it's 100% your fault!! Do your research before you commit to a lash tech, especially here if you want customer service. I got a new set and more than 70% of my lashes came out of one eye the next day after following ALL the after care instructions. Karla proceeded to tell me how I'm "just not a good candidate for lash extensions, ya know?!" Over and over and was opposed to "squeeze me in" to fix them (after paying over $150 plus 25% tip!) She then chewed my ear off the entire time I layed there telling me it was My fault, my products, I'm too oily (actually I have dry skin!), I'm not a good candidate, over and over for an hour+. Also note I was NEVER given any FREE lashes and she only fixed them after they were screwed up once! I then was booked for a fill 2.5 weeks later and when I called the day before to confirm she said I wasn't in their books and I'm just not a good person to get lashes!! WTF?! Well guess what? I found a new person thru a referral in Manhattan beach who redid them for me with NO PROBLEM and made them exactly like a photo Blink told me I couldn't achieve, all the while none have come out and she focuses on the integrity of the lashes while keeping a relaxing environment..SO guess it wasn't ME. Really too bad about this experience because I am asked for referrals all the time and I wouldn't have taken the time to write this if I didn't feel so mistreated!!! read more

My lashes are amazing! Cindy does a great job and has the magic touch. My lashes lasted for 10 days and still looked great after ocean and pool swims. All you have to do is follow Cindy's instructions and care for your eyes and lashes by using gentle non oil eye/face wash and don't pick (tempting once they start growing out). IM A BLINK ADDICT! I work in fitness and found it really hard to feel "girly" with constant top knots and sweaty clothes. So I decided to go for mink extensions and i haven't looked back since. Karla is amazing, she's as fun and enjoyable as she is talented. She really masters her craft and importantly cares about the integrity of your natural lashes. The majority of the salons I researched had sketchy websites and terrible reviews. To my surprise, I stumbled upon their website and was instantly impressed.
