They were polite, careful, cleaned up and were fun to have in my home. Danny was very thorough, pointing out a few quality issues which need to be taken care of, mostly minor manufacturing details. I am over the moon about the skylight shades which will make a HUGE difference in summer. And, I was so pleased with how well the view still delighted me with the 90 SPF film I am ordered more for the hottest room in the house, my office, which is were I spent most of my time when home. I am particularly pleased that the film has a slight silvery backing which adds additional privacy to my home. The previous owners had Budget do all their work, and luckily they still had the file. They did a great job of sorting out a logistically-challenging skylight in my foyer. The west-facing window, when it's done, is going to make a massive difference in the room heat on summer days. I can't wait to find out just how much. Very pleased with the quality and the value these changes will add, but also the difference in heating bills and overall comfort. Highly recommended.

Told the representative at this time what we wanted and scheduled a consultation at that time. Sales representative showed up as scheduled and I explained what we wanted. I was We wanted a shade that goes from the bottom up that was motorized. Was shown pictures of various types of fabrics to select from. Confirming what we discussed when booking the consultation would be quoted. We did NOT want a bar showing on top of the arch was made clear on two confirmations. Quote was submitted to which I accepted. The installer came this past Friday and sure enough, the product had a support bar from the top down (exposed at the break of the arch). When I questioned the installer, he said there was no way to hang this on the bottom to go up. I do understand that part. I assumed the sales representative (Linsey) would have reviewed that and confirmed that you will see a support bar in the window where the arch breaks. The installer also tracked mud in from his ladder and left that for us to clean up. When I reached our salesperson Monday morning, she offered to have him come back and clean up the mud. I informed her we did it that day and not going to leave mud on our new floors. I would suggest shopping around for customer service/knowledge and commitment to making customers happy. Demand clarity from them so it's not a "I'm sorry if I miscommunicated" or had a misunderstanding. Just speaking from my experience. Won't be using this franchise of Budget Blinds in Eugene/Springfield, OR. in the future.

I got several bids from house cleaning businesses to clean our new home before moving in. ADW was…read morelocal with the most affordable bid. The owner was friendly. Her bid was $200 less than others so I went with her. On the day of cleaning, the owner asked me what my priorities were and I told her I wanted cabinets and cupboards cleaned so I could put things away, floors and then windows. After about 2 hours of cleaning, the owner came to me and said I've almost used up the amount quoted on the bid and they had not cleaned everything. I was a little taken aback as I thought the bid was a final amount. Nevertheless I agreed to almost $200 more so that all cabinets and cupboards would be cleaned. At the end of the day, I realized there were a total of 4 people cleaning so I thought with all that people power my new home would be ready to move in. The following day I looked around the kitchen and realized one kitchen drawer had not been cleaned as it had dried on dark liquid in the bottom. Another cabinet had dried herbs and toothpicks. I was shocked so I looked around the rest is the house. Some of the windows blinds were cleaned, others were not, even in the same room. (I had not asked for blinds to be cleaned but the inconsistency made it confusing. ) Only one room had the window sills cleaned. Because the house had been empty for a while, dead flies were present in almost every window. There didn't appear to be consistency in the cleaning so I ultimately went through the house wiping out cabinets and windows. I sent the owner this information just for feedback, hoping she would appreciate receiving this feedback to improve services. Instead, I received an email telling me her move in bids are usually much higher and there were more cabinets that needed cleaning than she originally thought. (This is a 2200 sq. foot house) So no apology or acceptance of mistakes made. Very disappointing. I wanted to support a local business and had hoped it would be more responsive to feedback. We recently moved out, and they were extremely helpful from start to finish. For starters, we were moving from out of state, so we had a week scheduled to view and apply for a place to live. We looked at several properties managed by Acorn, and they were on time and courteous for every appointment. When we were ready to apply they were very helpful, and we found out very quickly that we had been approved! We did have to pay a huge deposit due to my boyfriend's non-existent credit, but it was refundable, so we decided to go for it. When we got back into town for move in day they were on time getting our keys, and pretty hands off, not very talkative in the office, but we prefer that. We were a little bummed because when we viewed the house we were told the ceiling fan would be installed by the time we moved in, but upon arrival- no ceiling fan. We found it later in the attic... not sure what that was about, but it wasn't a huge deal. We did have brand new carpet though, so that was nice. Our three years at our house were great with Acorn. The few times we had issues they were on top of fixing them. Our house may not have been up to some people's standards, but as two 25 yr olds, this was our first house to ourselves, so we were not picky. The ice maker didn't work, the fridge sometimes leaked, and there were some weird decoration choices in the house, but we loved it. Once our first year lease was over, they came for a walk through, and said since we took such good care of the house we could sign another lease, or go month to month without a price raise! We weren't sure how long we were going to stay, so we went month to month. We never had any issues with this, and the price stayed constant all three years. We had one more scheduled walk through during our time there, with two different agents, and they were both incredibly friendly and courteous about our space. Any time we emailed with questions, they were answered quickly, and the one time I was late on rent they were understanding and apologetic about the late fee- my fault. When we told them we were planning on moving, they were quick with detailed instructions, and answered any questions along the way. We got our deposit refund right on time as well. We didn't agree fully with some of the deductions from our deposit, so I reached out, and was answered quickly and politely by LaDonna. They reviewed my concerns promptly, and ended up refunding more back to us. I will say that I think they need to find a new company to hire out for their cleaning. Our apartment was spotless when we left- we hired cleaners ourselves, and inspected it after cleaning, and it was done above and beyond the move out cleaning list Acorn had given us. LaDonna kindly sent me the itemized list that the company they contract to clean gave them (so this is not on Acorn, rather their cleaners) and they were billed for 15 hours of cleaning- there is no way in hell that house needed that much cleaning, and I know for a fact that several items on their list were already clean. Like I said, not Acorn's fault, but I do feel like they should maybe review the company they use, as that seemed really shady to me. Overall, while the property itself wasn't perfect, it was well-loved and had a ton of character! Acorn was easy and friendly to work with, and quick to help us when needed. I would definitely recommend them.
