When we arrived, the hostess initially tried to seat us in direct sunlight even though there were several shaded tables available. I asked if we could sit in the shade instead, and she happily accommodated us. Our waitress appeared to be the only server working, yet she did an excellent job keeping up with all of her tables. She was attentive, friendly, and provided great service throughout our meal. We started with the coconut shrimp, which were perfectly crispy and delicious. The only odd thing was that they were served on a bed of rice, which didn't really make sense with the dish. We also ordered the grouper po' boy, and it was huge with well-seasoned, flavorful fish. The crab cakes, however, were a disappointment. They were heavily seasoned with Old Bay to the point that it overpowered the crab. I actually had to scrape off the top layer of seasoning just to enjoy them. For drinks, I ordered an IPA, and we also tried the Strawberry Smash that our waitress recommended. Unfortunately, the cocktail was the weakest part of the meal. It tasted more like club soda with muddled strawberries and mint than an actual mixed drink, and it was surprisingly difficult to drink through the straw.
