We were looking for a local coffee shop to try and this cafe absolutely lived up to their high rating! Restoration cafe is a cozy cafe that has table/couch seating, string lights, and a great selection of drink/food. I ordered one of their spring specialty banana iced chai's (as recommended by the helpful barista) and it was sooooo good. A couple different coffees were also ordered from my party and I heard nothing but positive feedback on taste. This cafe also doubles as a church so I really enjoyed checking out their book selection as they had a lot of Christian books. We pulled a Bible out of the shelf and just enjoyed reading it with coffee on the couch. Truly such a cozy spot and if I lived close I would be a regular! Whenever I visit Clearwater, I'll be sure to support/visit Restoration cafe! read more

this place is soo cute, such a hidden gem! You definitely feel the restoration vibe. My friend got the coconut cloud and i got the pistachio shaken espresso - both were amazing! I ended up going back after we walked around a bit to get the coconut cloud lol!! you can tell the beans they use for their coffee are high quality. What a nice spot! I had actually typed Starbucks into my GPS since I am in Clearwater from out of town and I saw their cafe/espresso sign as I was driving by...I immediately made a u-turn and parked right on the street. As soon as you walk in you can sense how cute and laid back this place is! If I lived here I could picture myself spending a few hours enjoying a coffee and a snack and working on my laptop... I had a small mocha latte with almond milk and asked about the peanut butter balls...I was told they were really good and they absolutely were...the mocha latte was really good as well. I actually took my food to go since I head back to the baseball field but I had forgotten to get water...I ran back in and they kindly filled my yeti with ice and water to get me through the day:) read more

My husband and I were in Clearwater on vacation and decided to try out this coffee shop! We saw they were a Christian coffee shop so we wanted to support them! The owners were so sweet and chatted with us for a bit! The coffee shop looks cute and the coffee was yummy! My husband who doesn't like coffee even liked it! I ordered a cold brew iced coffee with chocolate and coconut flavoring! The owners even shared the host church on Sundays! If we lived in the area we would definitely be regular customers! This is a hidden gem in Clearwater! The space is used as a church on Sunday but is a coffee shop the rest of the time. The coffee was great and the scone was fresh out of the oven. The space is really cute and quaint. The barista knew the first name of almost everyone that came in. It also was quiet enough that you could sit and get some work done. I can't say how many times I've driven past this place passing through Downtown Clearwater. I took the opportunity to check it out today for "Coffee with Cops". I was always concerned that it was owned by an entity that I would rather not support, which it IS NOT!!! I love that you can get a FRESHLY brewed cup of good, STRONG coffee without being spanked! They have a few things to eat. I saw a slice of quiche, but opted for the chocolate chip cookie, which was YUM! The atmosphere is a predominantly younger crowd (younger than me, I'm 65), mostly enjoying their coffee while online on their phones or computers. Yes, they have tables for that. There are also sofas and chairs. It appears that they also have music there at times because I saw a music stand with music on it in the front. The service was prompt and very pleasant. The coffee here is incredible. Food/pastries, they've skipped almost entirely, but for sure the best coffee/lattes in downtown Clearwater. Ambiance is kind of casual, this is a local favorite more than a tourist spot. I normally don't automatically choose to frequent a religious based business, and not because I have anything against it, but I'd like to know what the religion believes. For example, are you a hoax religion? Do you think gay people are evil? Do you think Jews are the cause of the world's problems? Do you discriminate against muslims? Etc etc etc. I don't want to give my money to a church that tells its parishioners that maybe Hitler had a point. However, I actually had no idea Restoration Cafe was associated with Restoration Church, having no idea there was such a thing as Restoration Church. But, I needed coffee and a place to work in Clearwater and Starbucks was out and Grind Coffeehouse, frankly, isn't that good. Well, hopefully my money isn't going to a church that supports conversion therapy or something, because I really like this place. It is warm, comfortable, has an incredibly friendly staff, really strong wifi, a good number of outlets, and importantly, really good coffee. Just having a drip coffee with almond milk (almond, soy and oat milks available), but their dark roast from Nicaragua is delicious. Place has some comfortable couches and good size tables and their pastries look delicious. So I really hope I'm supporting a church that doesn't protest outside of the funerals of veterans, because if I need to come back to Clearwater to work, I'd like to come back here. Here I sit--well, stand actually. Love my standing desk--sipping yet another perfect Cortado crafted by our favorite cafe in downtown Clearwater and delivered by my lovely wife. Three points for "Wife-indor"! :-D (A Cortado, by the way is _kind_ of like a latte, but it has a stronger coffee flavor due to equal parts coffee and milk--or heavy cream like I prefer. Closest thing from Starbucks is a "Flat White" but I would only have them make it if Restoration were closed or I were passing through the SBUX drive-through because brain-eating zombies were on my trail; and even then, probably not. But I digress...) Anyone who enjoys a well-made "cuppa" would agree that fully half the experience comprises the people we encounter while our coffee is being made and enjoyed. If you're looking for both perfectly crafted coffee AND good peeps, this is the place. You might never know it from the outside because it's smack in the middle of a quieter part of downtown Clearwater's retail district. But don't let that stop you from hunting this place down like the coffee hound that you are! When you enter you'll be happily greeted by the barista while he uses all eight of his arms to keep up with the orders. Yeah sure, you may have to queue up a bit, but the convo and coffee will be worth it. You need a breath anyway, right? Life can be crazy. Relax, meet someone new while you sip on the best java in town. For you bean nerds out there, they use Hemisphere coffee which would have been roasted about two days before it is sent to Restoration. No six-months-in-storage coffee here (not that any of the big chains would let THAT happen ;-) ). Hemisphere's sourcing is excellent I'm lead to understand and it sure shows up in the taste. No chemically-induced jitters for me like I get with the chains. So I do recommend you head on down and give Restoration a try. I was on vacation from MI and I always look for small coffee shops when I travel. This was my absolute favorite!! I got the Iced Mocha and it was delicious - nice and strong & chocolatey!! The people in front of me were on vacation also and she got a lavender drink and raved about it. Sebastian was a phenomenal barista plus he was from MI!! Highly recommend this place. I am so fussy about my coffee and this place was really so good. The next day I went to another coffee shop and ordered an iced mocha and it was so weak I ended up throwing it in the garbage! This is a pleasant little coffee shop that is affiliated with Clearwater's Restoration Church. There is little religious imagery and the vibe is similar to many small town coffee shops I've been to. The atmosphere is relaxed, appropriate for families, and not at all hipster. There were the usual folks on laptops at tables you'd expect from an independent coffee shop. The drip Kenya we had was excellent and sourced from Hemisphere Coffee Roasters out of Ohio. The barista was very knowledgeable about the coffee, the sourcing, and made a fresh pot just for my friend and me. The only note to consider is that there wasn't any food available. Other than that, this is a place I can easily recommend for a quality cup o' Joe. read more

Out of the way coffee place brews up great drinks and tea. We tried this to give a small biz a shot at our dollars. I'm glad we did. The cafe is hard to find. It is mid-block in the downtown area on North Ft. Harrison Avenue. The barista is friendly. The interior is a little sparse. But the coffee is good and so were the cookies. I'm not sure the biz will make it. Starbucks is a half-block away. And The Grind House is even closer. It's worth a try if you are in the area. read more

The shop was cozy, quaint, and had wonderful music on. I ordered the Peppermint Latte from the friendly barista & enjoyed a seat to read, journal, & relax before the holidays.
