I honestly never write bad reviews but... This is Just another over priced, lacking in taste, tourist trap of a restaurant. If you have the time and patience, there are soooo many other restaurants in the area with better quality. We ordered the 96-Hour Pork Belly and the spice in the peach puree was overwhelming, the pork belly also overcooked and dry. We also ordered the Black Grouper in Parchment which was ok at best, and the incredibly bland Hereford 1881 Ribeye. For $49 I expect it to be cooked to the temperature I asked for. I asked for Medium Rare and got a "light pink center" instead. We said something to the server, who then spoke to the manager and all they offered us was a dessert. Ummmm like no, the dessert is not even the equivalent of a poorly executed steak $50 steak. The manager also never came by to apologize or talk to us at all. We sat outside and enjoyed the live music. Our server was Gianna who seemed too busy to be bothered as well. read more

Table of six! Wow! All the staff are attentive and very nice! From Lydia and Tyler at the host stand with the friendly smiles and quick action to help my friends. To our fantastic server Blaine and Josh who was not our server but was absolutely sweet and took many photos for us. The whole place has great staff. The chef has to be top notch because all of our food was fantastic! I had the Korean BBQ Salmon served over rice with veggies which was fabulous! The drinks were cold and made excellent! This is the 2nd time I have been and it definitely won't be the last! Very clean with amazing views. They validate your vallet so don't make parking an excuse not to go! Food and ambiance was great and everyone from hostess to waiter were kind and welcoming. Great view to enjoy breakfast. Food was delicious. Kid warning... My daughter's biscuits and gravy were yum but not a flavor for kids. Great adult unique chive flavor but a picky kid that is use to basics probably order something else. French toast was great and the Greek eggs Benedict was one of the best I've had. Oh and kids loved that they could use water spray bottles to deter the birds ‍. The Cove Kitchen & Bar is a newly renovated relaunched restaurant at Shepherd's Beach Resort with more of an upscale vibe and ambiance. The entrance of the restaurant has a cave style to it that makes you feel like you're at magical far away tropical land! There is patio seating available outside as well as inside seating next to a window both offering great sunset views of the water! There is no booth seating but there is comfy chairs. Our server was very friendly and attentive! For the appetizer, the Deviled Crab Cakes which came with Cove's housemade lump blue crab cakes served with spicy mayo. 8/10 For the appetizer, Conch Fritters came with Tender sous vide conch, trinity vegetables and Creole flavors. Served with spicy mayo. 8/10 Hereford 1881 Ribeye 14oz came 28+ day dry aged and was tasty. 9/10 Macaroni au Gratin side was tasty and super cheesy! 8/10 Colossal Curry Shrimp came with large Colossal shrimp, bell pepper, onion, sautéed in a delicious green coconut curry sauce.. Served over cilantro-lime white rice and topped with Thai chili and cilantro. 9/10 For dessert, we had the Reese's Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie. It was delicious! They accommodated us with a table outside for five, even though typically their tables only seat four. The food was great! We had crabcakes, pork belly, Sea Bass, pork chops, and filet. One warning though - if you get the snapper, be sure you like spicy food. The flavor is amazing, but they use Jamaican scotch bonnet peppers. My favorite was the dessert which was almost like a baked Alaskan, but with Keylime pie. Definitely will be bookmarked in return again! read more

filet was cooked well. macaroni was terrible. lobster cannelloni was average. there were gnats flying around us the entire meal. the server wasn't attentive. i won't be returning here especially for what they're charging on items. it was also dead at 7 pm on a Friday that should have been my give away but i thought id try it for myself. read more

HOWEVER, when we got our food the steak we ordered (medium well), it was still mooing, had to ask them to cook it some more. Potatoes were horrible, cold cold cold. Absolutely NOOOOO flavor. Asparagus was the same, tasted like they just took it out the bag, boiled it and served.. Finally got the steak back, if you like your meat heavily and I mean heavily seasoned with pepper you will like it. Couldn't really enjoy it too much pepper. Because the weather was a little cool we sat inside and it Is upscale but trendy. We ordered a surf-n-turf combination of sea bass and ribeye to split....YUM. It was a 'savor every bite', 'I don't want this meal to end' kind of experience! But even though the food is worth the trip, our server, Gianna, was the frosting and the sprinkles! What an Excellent server with a smile that actually reaches her eyes, who makes you know that she truly enjoys making other people happy. I hope they know what a genuine gem they have in her! We had a fantastic dinner here tonight. We've been coming to Clearwater beach for 6 years and never eaten here. The crab cakes and mushroom bruschetta appetizers were delicious. We both had salads, the Caesar and the Chopped. They were fresh, light and very flavorful. We ended our meal with an incredible piece of Key Lime pie. RUN. Came here for V-Day and this place was V-BAD. We waited 20-30 minutes for the calamari sticks and then they were delivered to another table further extending our wait. Honestly I was most disappointed in the $50 ribeye. My wife and I both got it which racked up a pretty good bill only to be disappointed by the quality. Half was bloody and half was well done. There was so much fat that a good portion of it was not edible and I considered jabbing it with Ozempic. I feel like I was robbed. I would have taken a picture but I didn't want my phone to get sick. I don't wanna bash any of the workers cause it's not their fault the food sucked but if you travel into Clearwater, find somewhere else to have a nice dinner like maybe Applebees (seriously). The inside isn't really that nice either to be dishing out $50 price tags on crap steak. Didn't go outside so can't comment on that atmosphere. Oh yeah and there was another couple who came in for a valentines dinner, nobody spoke to them after they sat down. They waited longer than I did for my calamari sticks and ended up just walking out.
