But then again I'm not a big coffee drinker or a coffee snob! The people in here have always been polite and helpful, making my experience an enjoyable and relaxing one. All in all, if you are looking for somewhere to go to meet someone or do some work this is a better option then the Starbucks down the road which is 9/10 a lot more busier and rarely any seats.

Today the coffee tasted bitter and the manager would not replace the coffee or ask my father what he would prefer to have. In today's competitive environment this is an extremely poor and shortsighted decision not to mention simply unkind.

The honey oat hojicha latte was also very good but in the sense that it tasted like a good drink, not necessarily like hojicha. The service was decent. I'd never been to this Blenz location before. It was a convenient place for me to stop though as I…read morewas on my way home and feeling quite parched, so really didn't care to wait until I got closer to the Blenz that was closer to my home. I wanted a drink ASAP. I had a birthday freebie to redeem from the Blenz App and as I'd already just finished spending a bit of money on groceries and other essentials, I thought it would be a good time to claim my bday freebie and give my wallet a break. So, I walked and at first thought I could order just about any drink on the menu and that it would just be restricted to a certain size. Well, it turns out the bday freebie from Blenz is limited to certain types of drinks. It doesn't apply to a lot of the specialty drinks. Teas, tea lattes, coffees...those are the kinds of drinks that you can get with the bday freebie. I really should have read the fine print first before trying to order but I was hot and thirsty. The brain was not braining...the brain only knew one thing, which was that I was thirsty! The guy working at the counter though was very kind and patient. I sometimes worry that people are going to give me poor service cuz when I walk in to claim something for free, and don't spend money on anything else while I'm there. When someone can still be kind, friendly, helpful and patient with me even though I'm not spending any money there...that is excellent service to me, and that makes me more likely to wanna come back at a future point in time and spend money in the shop when it's not my bday. So...hats off to the guy at this Blenz who pointed out the fine print on the bday offer to me; then made me my free bday beverage and served it to me with a smile. I ended up ordering an iced Chai Latte and it was awesome by the way! Highly recommend this location of Blenz!

It was quite packed with a consistent flow of customers. The overall vibe was definitely vintage with an emphasis on motorcycles. Seating was a little difficult at the time, and it was too cold for this California boy to sit outside... But there was a high table by the entrance that was just perfect. I ordered a London Fog to try - no sugar for me - and it tasted great the first few sips. As I kept drinking it, the Earl Grey tea was stronger and stronger, though no surprise there. I wasn't too much a fan of this drink, but it was definitely worth a try.

I also snuck in a mini cannoli because it was so cute and I had never had one before. What a treat! Reg LOVED his coffee which he said was very strong without being too bitter. Unfortunately the tiny blonde Russian girl, with the blue spirulina eyes, who's also the youngest and shortest, said I make them feel uncomfortable because I compliment them every time I get a coconut latte and nanaimo bar. I never had an issue with any of the girls here; we always have a good time and share laughs, and they giggle at the (good stuff) I say to them, but unfortunately Ms. Grumpy can't take a compliment or a joke. There's also a lot of bad talk going on behind customers' backs, as I told blonde I can hear all that is whispered till the very back of the kitchen, the place most suitable for her, which is how I overheard that her birthday is tomorrow, wishing her a happy birthday like the gentleman that I am, to which she said to me in a rude and sarcastic way "YOU HAVE BIG EARS!!!", ohh and "YOU'RE NOT INVITED." BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE!!! As I was also told in the past, "WHAT ARE YOU LIKE 50 YEARS OLD???" Not only is rude and sarcastic, but also (passive-aggressive) and (dismissive) as my coco ice water (Ice water with cocoa powder on top) request was refused, making excuses, and getting Niko (coworker) to go get it, just to avoid contact with her #1 customer...(ME). She doesn't seem to get, I'm only a customer and have no intentions in her. The little lady has an inflated ego that's just about to pop and is the only female without proper training in service or manners. My review won't stop here. I'm also making a YouTube video to let people know, so stay tuned, folks! Treat customers like fine gold; otherwise, you'll have a whole lot of angry, unhappy customers on your hands. BAD SERVICE, NO COCOA ICE WATER, AND NO BIRTHDAY INVITATION. A SAD DAY AFTER ALL...

Such a gem in New West!…read more My partner and I just went here for coffee today and he ordered a cappuccino, while I got myself a matcha latte. Both drinks were made exceptionally well; impressively smooth, foamy, balanced, and clearly prepared with care rather than just being an afterthought. What really makes this place special is the atmosphere. The vibe feels genuinely inclusive and community-driven, with thoughtful touches like the pop-up bookstore featuring books on race, gender, and queer authors. It feels like a space built for connection, not just coffee. I also love how it transforms depending on the day. The daytime café energy is cozy and welcoming, while on select nights they stay open longer, serve alcohol, and host regular events like DJ nights, board game nights, and other community gatherings. It gives the space a lot of personality and makes it feel alive beyond the usual coffee shop experience. Definitely one of those places that feels more like a neighborhood hub than just a café. I'll be visiting a lot more soon!

The matcha taste was not too strong and not the umami matcha but still good nonetheless. I got it with oat milk instead and there wasn't an up charge. It doesn't come with sweetener and u can taste the matcha without it much more but I added 2 pumps of sugar and found that it increased the oat milk taste too much. I would recommend 1-1.5 pumps of liquid sugar (the barista helped me put it in so just ask!). The inside of the cafe was quite cute and they even had a little clothing rack selling second hand items like clothes and shoes! The space is quite big and spacious and has seating at the back as well and washrooms.
