Friendly and helpful service. Professional and consumer film is available, and processing had a quick turnaround and reasonable price for the result. They handle many professional accounts and all processed prints are printed on actual photographic paper, not like the fuzzy digital prints you get at the pharmacy photo kiosk. I had a few questions and everyone was so friendly and patient. I got 3 rolls processed and printed, standard size matte, and the result looked even better than I hoped! After flipping through my prints, I bought more film and took a recommendation to use different stock. I will absolutely return. Just picked up film (two 120 rolls and one 35mm) from Bleeker Digital Solutions. I bought two TLRs (from the 30s) and one old 1937 Argus and was anxious to see if all three were in working order. All rolls came out well. Bleeker Digital Solutions did a fantastic job developing and scanning my prints (onto a flash drive). The two guys that work here are very friendly and the service is quick, taking only two days to develop. They are also fully stocked with 120 and 35mm film in black and white and color (of various brands and ISO). This will be my go to place when needing my film developed. read more

I got a few rolls of film developed and scanned here. I had them transferred the photos onto my USB stick. The negatives were neatly packed. And the jpgs were stored in folders that corresponded to the negatives index. Images turned out great. I didn't see any dust in any of the scans and the blacks did not clip from their digital scanner. Photos were ready on the date as promised. It was a hassle free experience and I was in and out of the store in a few mins. read more

I've been frequenting Bleeker Digital for over a year now and I couldn't imagine going elsewhere. Anil, the owner of this lab, is really passionate about the quality of their development, and I am consistently impressed with their both their E-6/C-41 processing and hi-res scans for both 35mm and 120 film. They've been in business for 20+ years and their success shows. At other labs I've tried in Manhattan and Brooklyn, I've had problems with scratched negatives, missing rolls of film, and getting anyone to care about my frustrations. Not here at Bleeker Digital. They are consistent, friendly, and genuinely interested in making you happy with their service. As a regular customer, they've even extended bulk discounts to me on hi-res scanning which has been a total blessing and saved me hours at the scanner -- making this hobby far more fun and less painstaking. I have yet to try out their printing services but plan to soon and have high hopes as they seem to do a swift print business! Side note: I have no idea why all the positive reviews get auto-filtered out of Yelp's default view, but it's not fair. These guys are great and do great work. read more

Review is loooooooooooooooooong over due! The name of the business does not do it justice because they do excellent 35mm processing/developing/printing! Old skool film developing! The turnover time is ridiculous, less than 24 hours from the time of dropping off your film to pickup. The prices are cheap to reasonable in comparison to the big city production houses and most of all, the owner is such a delight! Owner is a SVA graduate doing this sort of business for 30 years. He's worked with all the big photo production houses in the city so he's the little guy with all the best skills he gathered from working around the city. The store also carries many photography supplies like an extensive stock of film from 35mm, 12mm0 etc. The service here is fast, stellar with awesome working hours. I've done 2 crucial Litmus test things here - custom framing and passport photos. This place is quick and efficient, the guy that runs the place is great and very helpful. The passport photos were cheap and clear and very good quality. You get 4 for $10 or something. The custom frame was *extremely* reasonably priced and came out pristine and great quality. He quoted a 7-10 day turnaround time and I got a prompt call on day 7. I was anti-mat and the lovely guy was receptive and didn't try to talk me into it or upsell me. I recommend this place for all of your photo, printing or framing needs, 100%. Accepts credit cards, but closed on Sundays. read more

Bleeker Digital Solutions is the only place I'll trust with my film! I've had countless disposable cameras developed here and I'm always happy with the results. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable, and I can always count on getting great results (and always on time). I used to take my cameras to Walgreens before moving to the city, as they were the only place near me that had these services. After comparing the print quality between the two, the quality from BDS is significantly better, clearer, and the colors are sharper. The quality of the scans are also drastically better. I dropped off 15 rolls of color film recently and loved how they came out. Then I dropped off two rolls of Fuji film. My interaction with them was okay at best this time around. The first time I went there nobody asked me for a small slip of paper to pick up my film. This time apparently it was required; I usually lose small things, but the cashier made me write down my last name and phone # and gave me a hard time since I did not have it on me. She spent 5mins looking for my film. When I eventually found it on my person; the woman preceded to still reprimand me on the importance of having a claim ticket and to bring it next time. The reason they had a hard time locating said film is that when I dropped off 15 rolls the ditzy woman wrote/misspelled my name from "Levenberg" to "Berg, L (see photo)" I mean.... I wrote my last name correctly and gave my cell number. I am glad that they admit it was their fault for misspelling my name, But still, that's kind of careless. I get it I sound harsh during a pandemic, but when You misspell a person's name you basically saying your existence doesn't matter and we care about your $. My rolls came out fantastic, and I am just a little upset about how my interaction with them on a customer service level was. If anything, the takeaway here is that they do great work better than B&H since "B&H" fucked up /destroyed my film and take less time to process 35mm film than "B&H" B&H photos makes you wait a week or two for the film to be processed. I went there on a Saturday and they told me it could be done by Tuesday. I get it that they are a family run business, I rather support them than a big box store like B&H. The final verdict is that I am going to bite my tongue and use them for now on; they are alittle out of my way, about the same price range as B&H but the workership/work(wo)manship is incredible(also see photos) on old expired film. read more

I have been coming in regularly to get my 35mm film developed and occasionally purchasing film. Everyone on staff is friendly, helpful, extremely knowledgeable, and professional. I have not once been disappointed with the work they've done. They are fairly quick, though I noticed that it is taking a bit longer, which I suspect is because they are so busy and seem to have gotten busier. Have been looking for a local spot to develop and scan my 35mm film. I found this place through yelp after visiting the Colorhouse and not liking the snobby-ness of that place. This isn't too far away from there, have been in business for quite a bit and have nice and thoughtful staff that work there. Super satisfied with the rolls that I got back from them, the scans were perfect for my expectations, the pricing was reasonable, they even offered me a discount for being a first time customer as they knew I would become a long time customer! This is the best place in town for professional developing. I'm a Director and cinematographer, and I only shoot slide film, so I'm pretty serious about the quality of the work. I simply couldn't find anywhere anymore in NYC that did consistently good developing. It was actually the other good reviews that attracted me here. AT first i was thrown off becuase it looks like a local, regular photo shop, but don't judge a book by its cover. The owner has worked at half the professional labs in the city and really knows his stuff. I discovered i remembered him from when he used to work at US Color- which closed. I believe the shop is family-owned and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I usually just get scans, which I get emailed to me in around 2-4 business days, then pick up the negatives.
