Cheeseburger and onion rings. Onion Rings are amazing.
Jennifer H.

Some of the best onion rings that we have ever had. This small town diner did not disappoint. We will definitely be going back on our next trip to Hochatown.

This place was so good! We were looking for a place to have an Easter lunch on our way back to Texas and this place did not disappoint! The waitresses were friendly and the environment had an old school feel that was nice, I'm glad it wasn't updated to be modern like everything else! It was a really nice experience!

Dried out bacon and steamed potatoes.
Diane L.

The breakfast menu prices have increased since the menu photo was taken. My two-egg, bacon, hash browns and toast cost $6.70 before sales tax. The bacon was dried out--like it was about two days old. See the photo of my hash "browns." No crispy brown potatoes here. The wait staff person was congenial (and apologetic about the long wait to have food prepared, the cost, and the steamed potatoes). I stopped here for breakfast on a 4-hour road trip. I'll stop for coffee and fast food before I ever stop here again when driving through Atoka.

Wow! Look at this portion size! Highly Recommend the Cheeseburger and homemade French Fries

Buffet with fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and macaroni and cheese.

The aesthetic was very appealing. I honestly wasn't expecting much because I'm not the biggest fan of American food, but this diner proved me wrong and impressed me! We started off with Fried Pickles and it was amazing. The batter and seasoning were great, pickles were a little bit soggy which my friend wished it was more fresh so it could be crunchy, but I enjoyed it. For main dishes, we ordered a Catfish Basket with a side of Fried Okra and Sliced Tomatoes as well as The Ribeye (we added additional ounces-$3/each additional ounce-to make it 16 oz) with a side of Jalapeño Bacon and Fried Okra. Overall, the food from start to finish was all amazing! Food, service, and ambiance were all good. Loved the interior design and aesthetic of this place too! Definitely glad we found this gem. 100% recommend!

Burger Night - Going #5 as a Double Chubby Checker! With Fries too. Wow! This is one juicy burger with good seasonings, fresh veg and plenty of juiciness. Fries are ok but that burger is a monster as a double. Take warning. Plenty of desserts to choose from if you have the room to eat it. Service is fast, tables are clean, beer is cold. Love it here!

Happy Days was one of the few businesses open on Sunday. I had the chicken fried steak, with fried okra, and sweet tea. Perfect meat to mashed potato to gravy ratio. Got hooked on fried okra and sweet tea as well. Friendly non-judgmental staff. Interesting decor. If you are hungry after church on Sunday, Happy Days is worth a try.

Children of the 1970s can tell you that "Happy Days" references a sitcom from the 1970s that started out set in 1955 Milwaukee. And this diner is also set up to resemble a diner from 1955. That era's music, decor, and even the records are on full display here. And because those who lived during that decade are dying out fast, this celebration of that decade is appreciated by those of us who think back fondly on it but are too young to have lived in it. Okay, the food: basic all-American diner grub. 1/4 pound burgers, and that's what I had. It was just basic, a bacon cheeseburger with a few additions, nothing special. Onion rings were okay too. They do feature the Big Bopper, a one-pounder for $22 (did you faint at the price?). The wait staff thankfully didn't dress the part. Just a simple T-shirt that said "Don't Forget To Smile." And they do smile, and do take care of you. Mine sure earned her tip. So yeah, Happy Days Diner is okay, but don't kick yourself if you don't stop in. If you want a little experience of the 1950s before it goes the way of the 1920s, stop on in. By the way, where are those 1980s-themed restaurants that were predicted in "Back To The Future 2"?

In the window, a big sign, "HELP WANTED EXPERIENCED COOK."…read more That is not a sign I want to see at a restaurant. Inside, seat yourself. The restaurant was packed. Looking around, most of the table tops were barren of plates. Hungry diners' eyes were locked on the kitchen food counter, hoping that the next plate that appeared was theirs. No words needed, their facial expressions signaled frustration and displeasure. The nice lady delivered menus to our table and straightaway warned "We are shorthanded. If you are in a hurry, you should go somewhere else." I thanked her and we left. So, I didn't try the food, but I really appreciate the honesty. That deserves 5 stars and keeps the Classic Diner on my list of diners to try. I hope they find an excellent cook. Good Luck and we will check back.

I expected to see the Fonz walk in at any moment. It was a blast from the past. Our server, Jennifer, took good care of us. We didn't have to wait long for anything. She was quick, friendly, and professional. I got a chicken fried steak, baked potato and fried okra. I started to get mashed potatoes but I asked if the potatoes were powdered. They were, so I got a baked potato instead. It was a good choice. The okra was fried to perfection and the serving was so large I had to leave half. I liked that I was able to order a small portion of chicken fried steak. The cream gravy is why I order chicken fried steak and this cream gravy did not disappoint. My cousin got the special which included soup, salad, and a sandwich. My other cousin got a chef salad. We all enjoyed our lunch and looking at the decorations. I will stop here again next time we pass through Henrietta.
