Bathroom area above sink in ladies room
Sheila A.

My son and I stopped by while traveling to grab breakfast. The decor was cute and what you would expect from a diner named Happy Days. I was very impressed when the waitress asked two you boys if they wanted their usual so things started out good. The waitress was attentive and our food was good. However, as I sat there in the booth I noticed the faint smell of mold and saw that the ceiling was sagging. When I went to the ladies room at the end of the meal the ceiling was covered in black mold. I now have to say that I'm worried about the employees exposed to this daily. This honestly needs to be addressed right away for the safety of staff and patrons alike.

I love this spot. I was on a road trip with my boyfriend and just happened to drive by and I'm so glad I did. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by the nicest staff. The food came quick. My coffee was always topped off. And my burger was juicy and delicious. The decoration is a delightful 50's style diner and I am here for it. Thanks for making our road trip so much better.

Nice little diner. Good selection that they serve all day. Service was good. Meal was served fast. It was a bit pricey for the portions. Would recommend.

Ambiance

Too freakin' cool!!! Waitstaff is amazing, friendly, and on top of their game!! Food is A++, we had questions about the Hot Diggity Dog and the owner came out and chatted with us for about 20 minutes or so. Not too bright, not too dark, and tastefully decked out in a 50s theme.

Food was great, and servers were nice. Service was quick. It's a cute place and the inside was decorated with Elvis Presley.

Good service and great ambiance with all the nostalgic pictures. Fried pickles were too spicy for us but rest of food was great!

So much so it was almost entertaining just to watch. I really think they cleaned the door entirely every time someone went in or out. Wiping down windows (on the outside too!), everything on the table, etc. I'm not sure if this is because of the pandemic, or if this is normal. By looking at the menu/ visiting the website, we found out that this is an Oklahoma chain. I thought that was really interesting, since I've never known a place to have so many locations ALL in just one state (rather than at least being slightly regional or of course a national chain). I got the club sandwich. I'm not a big sandwich person, but it seemed good at the time. I was surprised when it came out cut up in pieces, but apparently this is how club sandwiches are served? It definitely made it easier to eat, since it was stuffed with ingredients. Everything tasted fresh in the sandwich. The only thing I didn't like was that it was a "double decker" sandwich. Since I'm not a big bread or sandwich person to begin with, and also wasn't expecting it to come like that, I ended up actually deconstructing it a bit and taking out the two middle pieces of bread. We got the fried pickles to share as a side, and it's really hard to go wrong with fried pickles! I prefer them when they are the slices (rather than spears) which they were here, so I was extra happy. I just love that salty sour flavor. And they came out nice and hot! So yummy!

We stood there for at least 2 minutes before an employee walked by and said we could sit anywhere. Ok, we found a table. Sat for a few more minutes before a server arrived with menus and took our drink orders. We were looking at the menu and it's not clear what you get with your selected item. I ordered the mushroom Swiss burger. I wasn't aware it came with fries. But surprise! It did and they were weird. My friend ordered. The chicken fried steak and was told it came with sides. That was not stated anywhere on the menu, so she scrambled and made her choices on the fly. We did enjoy the fried pickles and fried "cheese curds". The quotation marks are because true cheese curds are cheddar. These were definitely mozzarella. My friend is from Wisconsin, so we were sad to see mozzarella, but they were good just not what we expected. We sat in the room that you walk into instead of the room with the bar. All I can say is it was eclectic. Boho meets a longhorn cow. Pick a theme. Will I try again? I don't know. I know they are struggling and would like to support them but they need to look at their menu and hostess/service.

They told me it would be about a 10 minute wait and that was about what i waited before being seating. I knew by the way this place was packed and people willing to wait, that it must be worth it. I was not disappointed. As soon as i was seated i was greeted by my server and ordered a coffee and a Dr. Pepper. This gave me a couple of minutes to look over the menu. Before i knew it, in the blink of an eye and before i could scan over the forst page of the menu, the server was back woth my coffee and drink. While sipping on my coffee i browsed the menu and found what inwanted for breafast. Which by they way, they serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. I ordered the double (see pic of menu for desription) As i watched the room noticing that as soon as a party left the bus boys were on the table quickly to clean and turn it over and the hostess already had the next group ready to be seated. This explained while the wait wasnt as long as expected as they turn over tables quickly. The next thing is knew, my food was at the table, hot and fresh. The food didn't disappoint either as it was all cooked perfectly and had good flavor. My server checked on me as what I consider perfect timing and the right amount of times where you are not bothered but dont have to look around for a refill or assistance. All in all, this place was a quaint little country kitchen, with excellent service and food. They are well staffed to handle the crowds with ease and plenty of cooks to get your food out in a timely and fresh n hot manner. Awesome place.

The seats aren't the most comfortable, but pretty expected since we were in a cafe. You could tell there were lots of locals in there. My mom got the blueberry short stack. She said they were great. Came out with three pancakes that had the blueberries cooked inside and on top. Pancakes were the size of a plate. They filled her up and she couldn't eat them all. My dad and husband got regular breakfast items. Toast, eggs, bacon, and hash browns. It all looked good and they ate all of it. I had the chicken fry with white gravy, 2 eggs, grits, and hash browns. All of my food was good. I was a bit disappointed in the gravy because it didn't seem homemade. Hash browns and eggs cooked perfectly. Grits were hot. No special flavors. On the recommendation of our waitress, we both chose the lasagna and side salad. We were not disappointed and we both really enjoyed our meal. The side salads were a perfect size and were made with mixed greens and a few veggies. The dressing on the side was great as not to drench the lettuce before eating. The lasagna needs to be talked about to everyone. It was the perfect serving size so we didn't over indulge. It was piping hot and held together, not falling over or sauce running over the plate. The flavors melded together nicely and was soothing to the palate. The number one thing was that it stay pleasantly hot right through the last bite, it never got cool/cold.
