I am so glad blaze pizza opened up here in Miami! If you've never been, you're definitely missing out on some great pizza for a great price! Think of a chipotle-type serving style, you pick the ingredients and what not. They have specialty pizza's with set toppings but I always get the build your own because it's like 8 bucks and the SKY IS THE LIMIT! I put just about everything I want, and then some. No extra fees or anything. Its 100% build your own pizza however you desire for that fixed price. This is a brand new location and so far they're doing a fantastic job. If you see a line, fear not, because it'll be moving quickly. Ordering online is also an option, and make sure you have the app. They have a useful points system that adds up to free pizza. Who doesn't like the sound of that? I met the manager, Juan, hell of a guy. Very nice and helpful. Great customer service and considerate. I can see the entire staff working together and actually getting along fantastically so that's a great feeling overall that definitely effects my dining experience since I can actually see all of them working right in front of me as I prepare my pie. read more

Since I love all things pizza, I said a resounding yes when my friends asked to meet up at the new pizza place they discovered near Costco. Upon arriving, it certainly looked like the typical get in line and build your pizza concept that is rapidly gaining in popularity. What I love; it can be quick and an uncomplicated way of ordering a meal without too much fuss. Where this place is different than the others, not only do you build your own pizza, you can actually build your calories.....or not. Now that is taking pizza to another level that I appreciate. As an example, original dough, 400 cal, classic red sauce, 30 cal. Add as you go or get the total calorie count by choosing one of eight Signature Pizza that range between 660 and 930 calories. I'm sure the science isn't perfect but it is convenient for those that are trying to monitor their daily calorie intake. I ended up building my own pizza and selected a simple mushroom, onion and roasted garlic pie with a classic red sauce and shredded mozzarella. They claim the pizza would be ready in 180 seconds and although I didn't time them, it certainly was ready in lightening speed. When your name is called, you pick the pizza up at the counter and have the option to choose from a variety of final toppings. Choices include arugula, balsamic glaze, bbq drizzle, buffalo sauce, pesto, olive oil and ranch. After taking my first bite, I was pleasantly surprised and thought it was very good. The crust was fresh, light and crispy. The ingredients, fresh and full of flavor. The serving, generous enough to take half of it home for lunch the next day. I found some of the employees weren't ready for prime time but in all fairness, the restaurant had only been open a few weeks at the time of my visit. As a whole, it did appear that everyone seemed friendly and enthusiastic which is always a plus in any dining experience. In summary, you can't go wrong with a fast food style, build your own pizza place that uses fresh dough and ingredients with no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives. This is by far the worst experience I have ever had at Blaze. It is well into the ​lunch hour, only two people in the restaurant​ and we walk in. we proceed to order and more people show up behind us. Next thing is we have eight people waiting to tell them what they wanted on their pizza. , ​​Oh wait....we have to waiting on the dough. What does that mea?​. No one to make the pizzas so we wait. They continue to pile up the orders. Finally we get going. To our shock they tell us only one kind of cheese, actually, they say any cheese other than mozzarella​ is considered a topping. We speak to the manager and he says that's​ what they are taught. So we settle for this inconsistency of process from store to store and proceed. I pay and scan my QR code to get my flames......no flames to ​arrive. I wait until the meal is over and try again. No flames, no barcode​ on receipt​​. Even the manager who could only act as he was taught could not get it to work. So we may or may not get flames. He did try and trick the system to get me the flames. Blaze is a great franchise. Having recently tried their competitor I was excited to see what Blaze had to offer. I won't name them but I did review them fairly recently if you are curious. This review is for their gluten-free crust and the overall dining experience. The GF crust at Blaze is considerably better than their main competitor. I believe their competitor is using a premade crust (very similar to Udi's). Blaze used in an in-house dough that was freshly pressed like their regular crusts. The taste and texture shone through. I loved the competitor's as well but I can buy Udi's at the grocery store and make it myself which takes a little bit of the fun out of dining in a restaurant. I love Blaze's selection of ingredients and the ordering process is comparable to the other BYO pizza place. What I loved about Blaze is in addition to vegan cheese, they also have goat cheese which is a delicious blessing for those trying to reduce their lactose intake due to intolerance. I also loved that they save the finishing sauces for the end when the pizza comes out nice and bubbling. The arugula was considerably fresher than what I was given at their competitor's place. On the downside I found this place to be much less clean than their competitor. There were napkins and straws, and discarded items from previous diners all over the floor under the tables in the dining area. The ordering process was also a little smoother at their competitor's. I noticed them getting backed up fairly quickly. The cashier was also a bit clueless and tried playing "The Price is Right" with us with multiple totals being given that were incorrect. Then when it came for change she lost the receipt and tried to give us the wrong change. It was not that busy when we ordered and she seemed very overwhelmed. If Blaze cleans up their act I would definitely give them 5 stars. Either way I'll be back to try them again. read more

I've never been to Blaze before, so I was excited to see what they had to offer. I think the way you chose your toppings and all that was beyond innovative and I've never seen it done with pizza. It feels like a subway for pizza. When your pizza is done, they offer you sauces that you can put in addition to what you already have (such as pesto, ranch, olive oil, etc). I chose the pesto. We chose some of the specialty pizzas "Meat Eater" and "Green Stripe." They we're both delicious though I loved Green stripe more because of the pesto. Tried this place twice. Both times customer service was terrible by the female employees. Very unwelcoming, very grumpy, an employee even scram out " declined!" When she wasn't even my cashier, it was declined because the cashier was trying to stop the order due to forgetting to add the garlic knots to the bill not because my card didn't have funds. I have only been to two other Blaze Pizza locations before. The one at Disney and the one in Davie. This one is very close to home and I was very excited that they were opening one up near me. This location is a nice size, especially compared to the one in Davie. It was clean and the staff was friendly. While I'm happy that it's close to home, I'm kinda upset that I have to choose between cheap Costco pizza and this. Prices are fair and everything is always fresh. I usually get the pick two, 1/2 a pizza and a salad. And I love the Blue Sky orange mango soda that they have at the self serve fountain. I, for one, love thin crust. But if you're like my husband and insist on a gazillion toppings, then you should get the slightly thicker crust or enjoy a fairly soggy crust. My pizza usually consists of white sauce, chicken, bacon, roasted garlic, grilled onions, ricotta and mozzarella. Oh and a pesto swirl at the end. Get the app and earn flames towards free pizza. The assortment of lemonades and agua fresca is so good! My favorite was the blood orange lemonade. I was particularly impressed with the amount of veggie pizza toppings and that they had vegan cheese! They keep the vegan cheese seperate from their other cheeses to avoid a dairy cross contamination. Brussels sprouts on pizza? Okay so I went on PI day and it was totally worth it this time. I think the preparation is A LOT better when you order at the restaurant, rather than through the app for pick up. Definitely going to be one of my go-to's for lunch in the area. If I could give you guys a suggestion though? Your pesto is much too loose and oily, you can clearly see that from both my photos.
