Summer 2025 Promo
Shakira E.

This Blaze pizza location is perfect for lunch or dinner. The staff were helpful and gracious. There was outdoor and indoor seating and the restaurant overall was clean and inviting. All of the toppings were bountiful and fresh and the summer promo for the half pizza and drink was just what we needed for our impromptu lunch break. After our meal since this location is on such a great street, we took a stroll around the block to get some steps in and and overall had a great experience.

Friendly and amazing crew! Always love coming here. The ambiance is unmatched and the food is great pls come support

I got none of these just cheese 6 pieces pepperoni and nothing else

all I got was 6 things of pepperoni and cheese And nothing else I'm never going to order here again

It was yummy...what pizza place doesn't have Parmesan cheese or chili flakes though?! We got half white sauce, half pesto. The pesto was better.

The pizza was delicious and fresh. We came at 6 pm on a Sunday and it wasn't too busy. There were several employees, and they seemed to be working together well to get pizzas made. The restaurant was clean, and to go, boxes were well stocked.

Caesar salad

I'm usually a big fan of Blaze, but recently I've noticed a few QC issues. I ordered their Caesar salad and a lot of the lettuce was already bad. The edges had turned black and wilted. They also put part of the stem in the salad, which you're supposed to throw out. I normally love their caesar because it comes with fresh parmesean, but in addition to the wilted lettuce, they didn't provide a side of salad dressing like they normally do. It was sprinkled on by the cook. Also, the last few times I ordered delivery I'll get two pizzas, salads, etc. and it never comes in a bag. All my items are just there and I have a hard time bringing it in my house. I also never get the napkins, parm packets, or red pepper packets I request. Couple that with the fact they skimped on the toppings for our pizzas, it just wasn't the quality I'm used to from Blaze. I hope someone sees this and addresses it because I love Blaze and want to keep getting my pizza from here.

Individual made-to-order pizzas at Blaze have been a go-to for my husband and I. Sometimes he wants an all-meat pizza and I'm in the mood for all veggies, going to Blaze means we can both get exactly what we want! We can also always trust that they have a variety of high-quality ingredients, from a selection of meats, vegetables, and other toppings. I personally love coming here during the winter months because of their open-flame oven and purposely choose seats closer to the oven so I can stay warm and cozy. In addition to their pizzas, I absolutely love their blood orange lemonade which is a good mix of sweet and tart. I indulge my sweet tooth further by always ordering a s'more, even if I'm too full to eat it at Blaze, I'll take it to go. You can't go wrong with Blaze when looking for a quick and causal bite to eat.

Green Stripe (11-inch)

We walked into Woodrow's Pizza and saw that they their pizza looked rather bland and basic, so we walked a block to Blaze. Great price for a customizable pizza. Enough for two people. We added a spicy red sauce and upgraded to a high rise dough. Flavor was phenomenal in everything except the chicken chunks. They were a little rubbery, would trade out for another meat. I liked the tables inside but you would expect there to be pepper and cheese on each. Not a big deal, just had to grab the packets from the drink fountain counter in the back. A little dusty back there. Other than that, the girl who was helping us choose our toppings was extremely helpful and kind. She suggested the red sauce under the pesto on the green stripe and we were both glad she did. Would go again

Blaze Pizza has been a staple of family gatherings of mine since I moved to Davis. Their 'build your own' mentality lends itself to a very accommodating menu - whether it be eating gluten free or vegan or otherwise Blaze will most likely have your back. As for the quality of pizza, I am hardly ever disappointed! By far the strongest thing they have going for them in my opinion is their thin crust that is oh so tasty. Without it I'm not sure I'd be as big of a fan given the other elements of the pizza are generally just pretty alright - but with that thin crust I can't help but love it. As for this location the service has always been great and the atmosphere in the restaurant is very cool and fresh. I was able to eat out on their patio the last time I visited and it was very nice! They are also now open once again to indoor seating which is nice to see. Overall I am very thankful to have a Blaze Pizza in Davis - not something I'll seek out on a regular basis, but between the flexible menu and the great atmosphere I will definitely keep it in my pizza-rotation.

Can't believe it took me this long to write a review for My Burma. Long overdue. The food is excellent and I keep coming back. A few dishes worth calling out specifically: the Tea Leaf Salad, Sesame Chicken, Coconut Rice, and the Pad Thai. Haven't been able to get to anything else on return trips. One note if you're a heat seeker -- the Pad Thai doesn't get very spicy, even when requested. I like extreme heat, so factor that in accordingly. Most people will find it perfectly seasoned. On my last visit I tried the black rice pudding with ice cream. Don't skip it if dessert is on your radar. Dogs are welcome on the patio, which is a great perk. One thing to be aware of: the gate can be a little tricky to navigate -- something to keep in mind if you or anyone in your group has mobility challenges. My Burma has my business. Highly recommend.

Service ordering at the counter was friendly & patient as I looked over the menu. I eventually zeroed in on the Zesty Flavored Salmon under the Specials/ Rice Bowls. It didn't take long. Handing me the packed to-go container, I immediately noticed its heft. There was a lot of food crammed in there. As soon as I was back in my room, I peeled open the lid to get at the goodies inside. My 1st observation was that there was lot of salmon. A bunch of fresh veggies too. For being on the menu as a rice bowl, there was exactly the right amount of rice underneath everything else. This definitely was not a case of too much rice being added as an empty calories filler. All in all, it was quite tasty. Indeed, even zesty. & enormously filling. Just a massive bowl of delicious salmon/ veg/ rice w/ a sauce that tied it all together. In this economy, Good Friends Hawaiian Poke is a great value. Now I always go for the bomb salmon and tuna and add my own toppings, and it is so good every time. The flavors are fresh, well balanced, and just hit in a way the cooked option never did for me. Overall, I am really glad I gave this place a second chance because it completely changed my perspective. If you are unsure about raw fish like I was, I definitely recommend trying it here.

On the recommendation of the counter staff, I ordered the Chicken Breast Classic sandwich, and I ordered fries with no salt (that's a dietary thing, and a secret way to get fries straight out of the fryer). As noted from other reviewers, the "sourdough" roll is shaped as a round bun which is not as I thought it would arrive. It also didn't have a traditional sourdough tang or texture. It was good, but not very sourdough. Expectations vs. reality. The service was fast and friendly, the restaurant was clean, parking was easy, and I feel like my meal was priced appropriately. My wife used the restroom while I waited near the entrance. Once we both walked in the manager (around 6'2", beard), from behind the counter told us very abruptly: "If you want to order anything it has to be to go, because we close in 10 minutes. If you want fries, order them now because they take 10 minutes to make." The way this was communicated was not professional or welcoming--it came across as rude and dismissive. There was no greeting, just a sharp directive. Despite this, we went ahead and placed a to‑go order for a tri‑tip sandwich and a Greek salad and paid. I completely understand that businesses have closing times and need to clean and wrap up for the night. That's reasonable. What's not reasonable is speaking to long‑time customers, or any customer, in such an unkind, abrupt manner. A little courtesy goes a long way. Because of this experience, we won't be returning. There are plenty of other local options in Davis that will take our money, while valueing and respecting their customers, regardless of when they walk through the door.

But that should not distract from the yummy Mediterranean food that you can find at Shah's. It's totally worth the hassle with finding a place to park. The interior is on a smaller side, only few tables inside, and the ordering is at the counter. Pick an option from the menu-either a wrap or platter-and the friendly staff will make it in front of you. You just add stuff to it as you go. Think of it as a Middle Eastern Subway or a Chipotle. For the meat options they offer chicken or lamb, but there is also falafel and fish options for those with different dietary needs. We tried both the chicken and lamb, in gyro and platter form. The portions at Shah's are very generous and you can make it even more filling by adding more condiments and toppings to it. Warning: the spicy sauce is actually spicy, not "American spicy", so take that into mind when ordering. I also noticed Shah's also carries burgers and sides such as fries or chicken nuggets, but we did not try that on this visit. For filling and quick meal, Shah's is (still) one of the best options in town. It is great that they're open late and now have a brick-and-mortar presence, so we don't have to wonder where the truck will be parked.
