My favorite fast fired pizza spot! Blaze has really tasty fast fired pizzas. Their oven gets an incredible char and they have a good selection of toppings. First time trying Blaze. We ordered ahead and our pizzas were ready exactly on time. (FYI, if you order online, you have to pay in advance by credit card). We were able to skip the line and pick them up at the order ahead register. Both pizzas had a good amount of the toppings we ordered, but could've used more cheese and sauce. Overall they both tasted good. Blaze probably deserves 3.5 stars. Nothing particularly wrong with it, but on the other hand I can easily name at least 6 other pizza spots whose pizza I'd prefer to eat, hence the 3 star rating. Gotta say, had some high expectations from trying the chain in the Northeast. To share it with Starbucks may have been a bad business move. I had to circle a few times because the lot was full. Then I came in and was treated with what seemed to be a modest line. Little did I know I would be waiting for about 30-35 minutes. The girl who was 4-5 people away from the ordering counter turned to a friend in a spot behind me to say "I don't think we're going to make practice, I've stood here for 25 min." I was shocked because usually Blaze (in other locations I've tried) is quick and fast! Is it only CT locations that have the policy of 180 seconds or less to cook? Waiting in line I got to read a few articles and talk with other customers who also were surprised at the line. They even said it's usually a little faster. I'll give it that benefit of the doubt. Periodically would see the people at the counter taking breaks with still a line almost out the door. By the time I got to order, I seemed to be rushed because I was asking too many questions. I got my pizza and went back to the hotel. Thank goodness I was kind of looking closely at my food since a few of the onions (which I'm allergic to) made its way into the pizza, along with some other ingredients I didn't order. The onions only made it on to one part of the pizza, so I just left that part out. I understand in a make your own environment there can be cross contamination, but I've just never seen it at other locations of Blaze. The experience could've been better service and time wise. Have had trouble with orders here in the past- incorrect toppings etc. Today I ordered from DoorDash before noon to have pizzas ready when I left work in the evening. 15 minutes before my pizza was to be ready I received a notice that DoorDash was currently unavailable at this store. They had all day to notify me. I prefer DoorDash for this location because the parking lot is too small and horrible to get in and out of on Dressler. I'm done with this place. While visiting Canton area and searching my phone for good and cheap eateries, somehow this place was filtered out of my searches.
