The small mushroom and peppers pizza was perfect. The crust was crispy but easy to chew. The cheese was plentiful. I also ordered six Parmesan garlic wings and they were delicious. They are different in that they aren't over salted and the breading is crispy but tender if that makes sense. The wings are cooked in beef tallow which is better than seeded oils. The pizza was ready when they said it would be. The shop had some seating inside and outside. They are kind of expensive but they are very good quality. I was interested in this place because they have vegan choices. It has quite a few. They have the non dairy type of cheese, which melts like the real thing. It also has fake meats. They have a few you can pick off the menu, or you can build your own pizza. It's good the pizzas are big. They cost so much you better get a lot for that. It's about $23 for a vegan Artisan Pizza. This comes with artichokes, basil, kalamata olives, mushrooms, onions, peppers, and tomatoes. It doesn't have any delivery. It's okay since it's already expensive. Their pizza is delicious- highly recommend it! I ordered a small hand tossed vegan cheeseburger pie, a small hand tossed margherita pie, and a large thin crust with mushrooms, and half w/sausage, half w/ mixed peppers. The recipients of the two small pizzas raved- said they were the best. The large one I ordered was unfortunately made with a hand tossed crust as well. I checked the receipt to make sure I had ordered correctly and the receipt did say thin crust. The crust was good, but I had been craving the thin crust and unfortunately was already at home in Akron when I opened it up to look. My only other complaint was that while the sausage topping was plentiful, the peppers on my half were very scant, as were the mushrooms on the entire pizza. I would still recommend this pizza to anyone- i'd just be sure to take a peek at it before leaving the shop. Drove down to Canton to see Weird Al concert with my mom and brother. We were not allowed in the concert venue. We looked for a place that was vegan friendly to appease my brother. I heard my friends mention this place before and recognized the name when I saw on Yelp. My brother had the vegan cheeseburger pizza and mom and I split the Detroit style. Both were excellent! This is the best pizza in the region, especially the specialty pizzas. The Ingredients are local seasonal organic on these. Their dough is aged three days and it has a nice texture and sweetness. They do a monthly artisan pizza and the maize valley one this month was incredible with seasoned sausage, sweet corn, sweet yellow peppers, hot pepper butter as a sauce, candy onions and green peppers. Delicious. The Daydreamer was amazing: Genoa Salami, Caramelized Red Onions, Roasted Red Peppers, Italian Meatballs, Mozzarella & Provolone and Sharp Cheddar Cheese. Topped with Maple Glazed Bacon and Organic Local Basil. An absolute masterpiece of flavor. There are only a couple tables to sit and eat. It is really a carry out place. The salads are great too. This food is on the level of Dewey's in Cleveland and it deserves a great full service restaurant in a prime location. It is in a sleepy plaza in North Canton but worth checking out. read more

Believe the hype. This was some of the best pizza I have ever eaten. The organic sauce was really delicious - and yes, it was the perfect balance of sweetness and savory attributes. We ordered a large with banana peppers and mushrooms. The peppers were really outstanding and the mushrooms were also very good. They also layered the toppings on and did not skimp on them. The same goes for the cheese. Also, I thought the crust was really exceptional. We also ordered the basket of organic red potato breaded fries. They were seasoned very nicely without being too salty, had just the right level of crispness, and weren't greasy. The portion for the basket was large, so good thing it was a "cheat day." I always seem to want to come to Sol Pie Pizza on a Monday, when they're closed! LOL This pizza parlor is absolutely delicious! My children (one of which is very picky!) also love this place! My children tried to tell me that they have "healthy" soda here, so I should therefore let them drink it. In fact, their soda is made from organic ingredients, so I always let my kids indulge when we eat here. Every time I go to the BMV, I treat myself to Sol Pie Pizza (except on Mondays - ha!). It's in the same shopping complex, so I just walk on over after having to wait in line to take care of vehicle business. One of the best things about Sol Pie Pizza is the fact they use locally sourced, organic ingredients. I love to support local by eating at places that use locally sourced ingredients! Firstly, it will always be fresh (and seasonal!) and secondly, we are supporting our community and not some big corporation that cut costs with cheaper ingredients. If you don't wish to sit down in the restaurant and eat, you can call ahead and order a pizza for pick-up. We've been meaning to try this place for a while but don't order pizza often, so when we do, we usually stick to our favorite spot. But after a day of yardwork we ordered from Sol. We checked out the menu and had decided on two small pizzas, but the staff recommended another pizza so we ended up with 3- buffalo chicken, margherita, and the one that they won 4th place on (I don't remember the name). Each had 4 slices. We really enjoyed the pizzas. The buffalo pizza was a bit too spicy for me (which the staff did warn us it was hot), but it was my husbands favorite. The other two were great! Sol prides itself on fresh ingredients, and you could definitely tell that it was fresh. It also wasn't loaded and dripping with oil/cheese (looking at you- national chains), but still had plenty of flavor & cheesy goodness. The only drawback was the price.. for 3 small pizzas (they have s,m,l) and granted they were all speciality pizzas with obviously fresh ingredients, but it was over $30 for pick up. I don't mind paying more for quality, but that's still more expensive than 2 full size pizzas at a local higher end restaurant. But I'm sure we'll be going back because it was good! read more

An ambitious and compelling menu, but... If you order online, even for pickup, they want to charge a "tip". Well that is BS. A tip is for good service, beyond what is expected. So I "tip" for walking in and having someone take my money and hand me a pizza? BS, again. The pie was OK, but the thin crust was mushy by the time we get it home (10 minutes). And the 1.75 per topping was not matched by the volume of those toppings. In other words, nearly 2$ for a handful of slices of pepperoni? Again, throw the BS flag. Loved ordering and enjoying their pizza. It is delicious, whenever it finally arrives. And judging by the other comments on Yelp we were not the only ones with this problem. After last night we had had it and actually refused the pizza when it arrived one hour and forty minutes after ordering. And the aftermath was the icing on the cake. Nothing but excuses and basically blaming new people instead of owning it and apologizing. Never even got an apology until we did a Facebook review. If their social media responses were as fast as their service they would have solid 5 stars. On 4/1 we decided to give them another chance. Placed pick up order at 4pm for a 730 pick up. Arrive at 730pm and told it will be a few minutes. Then at 745pm told our pizzas were not even in the oven. Asked for refund and officially done with SOL! read more

My husband and I order here at LEAST once a week. We love everything on the menu, really. We've never had anything we haven't liked! Our favorites are the daydreamer, hawaiin, and jalapeño popper pie but we always get the artisan pizza of the month as well! If it had been dark, or raining, or terrorist attacking, I probably wouldn't have gone here. That's because boogie mans are known far to well for lurking unseen in the middle of large deserted parking lots. Also Sol Pie Pizza is located beside the unpleasantly ominous BMV. (Always some rude memories there.) Besides the location, it was pretty good. Except for the continuation of the foreboding parking lot atmosphere into the inside. Actually if the place would have been busy, instead of just the two other customers inside, it would have made all the difference. It does have some pleasant design touches versus the lackluster style of many pizza shops. But as it was, I was a bit relieved to make my exodus; as I was afraid some looming machine would suddenly attack from the many hums and beeps of the kitchen, enveloping me in its doughy grasp. I decided on a personal size pizza. Plain and simple, with cheese, "Old Style Pepperoni" and banana peppers. That was the good part, and is always the good part about my ventures into unknown territory. The food, is Good. Admittedly, it was a bit greasy; but their use of quality ingredients didn't make me feel like I was eating heart attack by slice. Ok. I love pizza. A lot. Expensive pizza, cheap pizza, Chicago, New York, high school cafeteria--all of it--except Pizza Hut because ew. I have a tattoo of pizza I love it so much. So I was stoked to try SOL. I was really disappointed. We got the Apollo Pesto and it's not that it was bad... It just didn't feel like eating pizza. The emotional response I get when I eat a slice wasn't there. The individual elements were fine but taking each bite felt more like a chore than it should have. Maybe trying something more classic will have me feeling differently. But after a slice and a half of this I felt a definite pizza-shaped hole in my wantings. The biggest crime, though, was the wings. Breaded. Which instantly equals garbage. It is impossible for wings to remain any sort of crunchy consistency when they're breaded and then dunked on sauce. They turn into gooey messes and it doesn't matter how delicious our sauce is, those wings will be meh by the time you get home. And these were supremely meh. I didn't enjoy any of my food. I threw away close to two dozen wings and there's 3/4 of a pizza sitting in my fridge waiting for me to give it up and throw it away. I appreciate the mission of SOL but I just can't get behind the execution. read more

This was a pleasant surprise during a business trip to Canton area. If you are around the CAK airport, this place is a great option for a quick meal. This pizza place is tucked (hidden) in a unappealing strip mall. The internal set indicates a to-go/delivery place but there are a couple tables to eat there as well. I had one of the classic pizzas in the menu. They have plenty of options for vegans and vegetarians, and I appreciate the mission of local and organic produce (it is an interesting mission for such a hidden place, such contrast). The pizza was excellent, full of flavor and with prime ingredients. The only drawback was the organic soda machine - half of the flavors were out and I ended with a lemongrass soda that had zero flavor. Bummer. Will return if around the area. read more
