When I was growing up, we got pizza from one of three places and Italo's was in the rotation. It has to have been a decade since my last pie from Italo's and when we passed it today while visiting some family, I couldn't help but order. I mean, who could deprive their child of the experience of a pizza from this amazing oven with these spectacular ingredients? Not I, for certain. It was amazingly good and exactly as I remember it. I have been coming here regularly for over 3 years. I buy all the pizza for our company lunches from here. Today I bought a large 3 item pizza and was charged $23. When I called and asked they said the $8.99 lunchtime special doesn't apply for anything with more than 1 topping. Waited 25 minutes plus 10 at the counter only to receive the wrong pizza and then was asked to wait 30 more for a replacement. Was given attitude when I asked for a refund. Never again. read more

My childhood pizza place. I used to cut through back yards to get to Italos, and the sit down Pac man game. I live in California now, and dream of Italos. California doesn't know shit about pizza, and I long for one of these perfectly cooked pies. Mr.Ventura was always wonderful to my family, and all of us neighborhood kids. Nice people, if you like fried chicken you will enjoy their chicken dinners. Pizza is average. Meatball sub is messy but good!

Overall.. the pizza has some average toppings. But the sauce is good and the crust is good. The dipping sauce also helps complement the pizzas. They're not over the top amazing, what they make is a decent pizza. read more

Ordered from here for the first time last night. We got a meatball sub, pizza sub, rigatoni and meatball dinner, and 3 pepperoni rolls. All was really good. I usually don't like meat in pasta sauce and there was meat in the sauce with the rigatoni and the sauce that I got for the pepperoni rolls (they don't come with sauce its extra) kinda bummed me out but it was still pretty good sauce. I bought one of their Italo's cream sodas, it was really gross. Just tasted like sugar water, no flavor. I think its a little on the pricey side for the area. read more

Usually have always had great food/service here - I'd actually only go to this store when the founder was running it. Since he's passed the quality is decent, but I have not complained when little things were wrong and I've witnessed others picking up their pizzas only to be told they were made incorrectly or would be 10-15mins longer than quoted - these things happen on occasion. Well I just had a horrible customer service moment. Tried to return half of a large pizza because both my wife and I felt the crust had a chemical smell/taste to it. Because I got it for my lunch break yesterday and had plans last night & work this morning I stopped by the store earlier this afternoon. Told the manager/new owner that I had the pizza in the car so as not to bring attention to customers that may be in the store & explained my situation. Asked him to replace the pizza, even if he only wanted to give me half and keep the other half for staff. He told me that he "sold over 300 pizzas yesterday so I am not willing to do anything." I have been a long time customer and recommend them frequently - sadly it looks as though I won't be able to do this anymore. As someone who had been in customer service for small local businesses it is just as important how a business treats me as how good their product is. I hope their management doesn't continue down this path - Italo would be very disappointed. read more
