Super impressed with the awesome service during my visit today after hours of shopping, and right before closing. I ordered a cheesy bread and Sam had such a fantastic attitude and was super friendly. Sam explained their current new sauce offerings with spicy honey and chili spicy and even offered to give me little dipping containers of both new flavors as well as pesto and marinara. She also gave me the option of adding garlic and oregano before putting into the oven. It came out perfectly hot and I enjoyed trying all the new flavors. This is a great place to grab a bite while shopping at the Desert Hill Premium Outlets. We ordered a build your own pizza with original dough for $16.99. I love that they have spicy marinara, fresh mozzarella, roasted garlic and fresh arugula topping. Most other build your own pizza restaurants do not offer such a wide variety of fresh toppings. I also customized some toppings to be only on 1/2 the pizza so my son can pick what he wants. One pizza is enough for two of us, so ends up being a pretty good deal. I included photos of what their website shows as the "arugula topping" and "ranch drizzle." I ordered take-out and didn't look at the pizza until we were out of the shopping center. I'm so bummed mine is drenched in ranch and as much as I like arugula, I don't think this is the standard for how much to give people. When we see a picture like the one on the website, we're expecting about 4 leaves per slice. Additionally, I ordered red sauce and mozzarella. Now, there is some red sauce for sure but I didn't notice any mozzarella though it could be under the ocean of ranch. I also ordered oregano which, again, could be under the ranch but it has a really distinct flavor and I don't taste it at all. Overall, just disappointed. Pizza was undercooked. The staff was moving so sluggish they looked like they were all high. Zero courtesy, looking away shirking work, and talking in a low voice hard to hear. It is clear that the staff is just a bunch of high schoolers that don't want to be here. I waited to start my order with 3 staff members backs to me, eventually asking me in the lowest lackluster voice "what do you want?" Took me a good 6-8 mins to go from start to finish creating my pizza. Normally at a blaze or pieology, I'm done telling them what I want and paying in about 2 mins tops. Icing on the cake. I realized my name wasn't called out for a bit. Another frustrated customer tells me as he is walking by to just check since they just don't call out names. Amazing how time flies! Kid you not, the last time I was here at Blaze Pizza was when both my daugthers were under 10 years old. Good to know the business is still here. After our visit at Carvana PPA Tour - The Masters in Rancho Mirage, my eldest daugther and I got here for early dinner on a Sunday. There were about 10+ people ahead of us. The line never stopped piling up... it was dinner time! Anyway, we went with Build Your Own Pizza with original dough for $14.99 each. They do have their signature pizzas with their own creative combination of ingredients for selection. Lots of variety of meats and veggies to choose from. My daughter went very simple and got only 4 ingredients where I went all out and got Canadian bacon plus every possible vegetable that was there. Yes, I piled it on! LOL Both pizzas came out looking good and they tasted delicious. However, my pizza got a little wet at the bottom of crust because of the all veggies... I didn't mind it, but it was challenging to hold a soggy slice of pizza without getting my hands wet LOL... my fault for getting so many veggies, but I love my veggies. Staff was pleasant. Price was decent. Lots of seating inside. They also have outside seating. The only thing that could have been better is the lighting. I felt it was a little dim-ish inside. I don't know if they were going for the romantic look and feel LOL, but I didn't get that loving energy... maybe if I was with my one true love, then those feelings may have rushed right in... I came for a bit as we were getting our shop on. Everything was just ok. The build your own pizza was done quickly and I noticed that they piled it on. The crust was thin and overall a decent pizza. Nothing to rave home about. I also got a salad to mix it up and dang, the small for $7.99 was like a side salad that was ridiculously small for that price. The veges didn't look super fresh either and their "Greek Salad" was drenched with a balsamic glaze, not some light vinaigrette. I really wanted to give blaze five stars but I will explain why I went with four. My wife and I both eat vegan and gluten-free and the fact that you can get a pretty good tasting pizza while still eating the way we want is incredible. They have a soy chorizo that is really good and when you add a gluten-free crust to it, which is really good as well, it's a great combination for people who have the dietary needs that we do. Personally, I don't do the vegan cheese but that's not because of blaze, that's just something I don't like anywhere, LOL. I this option is a little pricey but we think it's worth it and the fact that it taste good and completely fills you up adds to the reasons why we continually go back to get it. The only reason I'm not giving a five star review is because at multiple blaze locations, we have had consistent, how shall I put it, grumpy people behind the counter. That's not to say everyone, we have ran across a few crate employees with smiles, but unfortunately often we've had the opposite. Definitely not some thing that keeps me from coming back, but I would like to see a few more smiles when ordering that pizza. I am always willing to give someone the benefit of the doubt, and everyone has an off day, but it's been weird how consistent that has been at different locations. This was my first time trying Blaze pizza and let me just say it was HORRIBLE. The worst part about it was the staff. The two girls were on their phone the whole time and i felt like i was bothering her even asking for ranch. I love blaze pizza and i never have a problem the food is always BOMB. My complaint here is one worker who was extremely rude to her workers and the customers. I love this pizza! This location is a little bit of effort to get to, after Parking is found if you aren't shopping already at the mall there. When they opened years ago it was a up beat cool place to come in and get a pizza your way. Since thing recently last year I've been there the employees are blah, lol not really interested in customer service. Last time in the afternoon they were cleaning the topping bar they use and it was piled away from the customer counter into the middle, it was really difficult to see what the toppings were and the employee didn't offer any help to make selections I couldn't see. Despite the hard working staff, the entire store seems so messy and processes are run very unorganized. The "general manager" of this store has absolutely lost it. She's arrogant, rude, and completely out of line. After a mistake was made on my order, instead of trying to make it right, this manager chose to rudely tell me how it was MY fault for ordering it wrong because I wasn't ALLOWED to say "no pepperoni or peppers". Apparently I wasn't allowed to made a removal mod on a menu item. How was I supposed to know? TRAIN YOUR STAFF BETTER then because they are the ones who made my pizza and told me it was fine to remove something. She continues to drill in how I should have never been allowed to order it that way. Instead of simply saying "so sorry for the mistake, let's make this right for you!" she chose to inappropriately reprimand me in front of the customers. She really must have had a stick up her a** because she then reprimanded (in front of customers) the poor employee who allowed me to "remove my pepperoni". I wish I made this story up it's so ridiculous. Then after asking for a refund she tries to tell me my CC numbers don't match her receipt so she couldn't refund. Im sorry what? When in town I love eating here. They have a location in my hometown, so I am very familiar with their menu items. I always get the cauliflower crust. It's the most healthy. I get the classic red sauce, with pesto sauce and white cream sauce too. Next comes the cheese. I like the shredded mozzarella. I then add the blue cheese and parmesan. For toppings, I like sausage, ham, olives, two kinds of garlic, and bacon. I then add the mushrooms and banana peppers. Really makes for a great pizza. Staff are always so friendly too.
