I came here after work since I was in the Brea mall and needed to get something. It was nice to see this in the food court since I wasn't in the mood for other things. I really like that they have unlimited toppings for the pizza. I decided to make my own ($8.25) with garlic pesto sauce, spicy red sauce, ovalini mozzarella, basil, artichoke, caramelized onions, sausage, pepperoni, jalapenos, and chopped garlic on my order.The pizza is thin crust so it got soggy quickly but it tasted good. Came here today for the free pizza (thanks #LABron!) and was so impressed with the staff. Despite dealing with a line of hundreds of people (I waited almost two hours just to get to the front), they treated each person with the same care that they would on a normal day. All of the employees were smiling, energetic, and ready to work. Best of all, this was by far the best pizza from Blaze that I've ever had! This is one of the best pizzerias I've visited outside of Pieology, and has a similar setup to that Subway-like assembly line of high-quality ingredients and streamlined ordering process that makes building your own pizza or ordering one of theirs right off the menu super easy and just as quick. The menu has a little bit for everyone, including a gluten-free dough option for those of you who suffer from those pesky allergies, are diabetic, or simply want a healthier base for your pizza. The ingredients are simple but varied, and include just about everything on could want on a pizza from pepperoni, marinara sauce, artichoke hearts, ricotta cheese, mozzarella, garlic oil, olives, bell peppers, sausage, tomatoes, and so much more. After your order is taken, it's placed in the broiling hot oven and rotated periodically by the staff member on duty to ensure even cooking, then taken out, and set aside for a minute to cool. The whole process takes between 5-10 minutes, depending on how many people are in line before you. The crust is super thin, with just a hint of chewiness to it, and the fresh ingredients really make this pizza stand out as one of the best, (considering you're getting it from a shopping mall food court), and it's definitely healthier than most of the food court options surrounding it. If pizza isn't your thing, they also have a small selection of salads and even a tiny S'Mores Pie to satisfy your sweet tooth for dessert. Service was great, ordered online which was very easy and the girl who handed me my food was super sweet :) The only issue was that my pizza was DRENCHED in balsamic vinegar when on the order form it says "drizzle" so I wasn't prepared for it to be soaking also the toppings are all comically oversized and make the pizza very heavy and cause them to all fall off. It's basically like eating a salad with bread. Haha. Once the pizza came out of the oven, they put the salad on top. The dough was chewy and my jaw kinda got sore from chewing the whole pizza. Blaze, you've officially won my heart. Take it. Do what you want with it. I'm a sucker for your toppings galore on a yummy pizza that's ready in 180 seconds. Blaze fits in with the current foodservice trend of customizable everything--from the pizza dough to the toppings to the sauces. How can you dislike a pizza that you made??? (And, well, technically someone else put it all together.) I especially enjoy their fresh mozzarella (ovalini mozzarella as they call it) as a topping. I find the different texture of the cheese makes Blaze stand out in the crowd, as other customizable fast casual pizza places don't offer this topping. Service is efficient and friendly, nothing else to say. This smaller storefront is actually located inside Brea Mall in the food court, so it is just a slightly longer trek to get your pizza craving satisfied but it's well worth it! In my opinion, Blaze might have an upper hand on Pielogy. I particularly like the spicy red sauce, ovalini mozzarella (melts beautifully!), roasted garlic, and sauteed onions. Ask for the spicy red sauce with garlic pesto sauce brushed on the crust. Delish! My only complaint about this location is that the employees often forget about the "finishes" towards the end. Once your pizza comes out piping hot, you have the option to top it off with some sauce drizzles or fresh arugala. The employees are kinda grumpy, too. read more

It's about $8 for a make it your own, but definitely worth it. Comes with 6 slices, can be shared for two. Also, all the toppings are unlimited! For my pizza, I got pesto garlic with mozzarella cheese as a base. For the protein, I got pepperoni, salami, sausage, and bacon. For toppings, I got spinach, cherry tomatoes, mushrooms, green pepper, lemon pepper, and onions. Sprinkled with some oregano to finish it off. The finished product looked so colorful and mouth watering! In my opinion, the pizza is very greasy though. We wait & wait & wait & wait and guess what, it is 15 mins past the 6 mins we were told so now we have been waiting a total of 30 mins or so. Then we ask again, they say it's almost done. So we wait & wait & wait & guess what, it is now 45 mins we have been waiting. So I ask again & the guy cooking the pizza says it's right here. I told him we have been waiting almost an hour & our order is still not ready. FINALLY, our order is ready almost an hour total wait time and we didn't get our drink orders. I ask the cashier if she can please get us our drinks and that we have been here for a long time. She gives are drinks and hands them to us. WOW!! Absolutely no apologies from either one of the team members which is ridiculous. No kind of offers to make amends for their lack of attention. DO NOT GO HERE. Whether you order online or stand in line. The line is long because they are so slow or just don't the right amount of ppl staffed or aware to keep watch for online orders. I love getting my pizza here. They have all kinds of selection of ingredients. I love that they have all different kinds of cheeses, meats, veggies. They have grilled and raw onions and after your pizza is done, they have oil that you can add. Thanks for the free pizza in pi day, last month. I like this better than pizza press. There's even one near Disneyland but it's not like pizza press it's in the corner of the street and more noticeable and accessible because you know where to park. This is the third Subway like wood fire pizza joint I've tried in a the past couple months. Blaze was pretty good for about the same price as all the others. Since this one is in a mall food court, it didn't have the same feel as others which were stand alone. The pizza was good enough, and will probably put Sbarro out of business (sorry Sbarro!). 1 pizza per person is the norm, but 2 could easily split one. My only issue was the amount of sausage they put on my pizza. I only ordered one topping and I think a couple slices had only 3 pieces of sausage on it. I probably could have asked for more, but I wanted to see what their norm was. It looked like there wasn't going to be enough cheese either, but when it melted, it was perfect. This is not the quickest place for lunch since every pizza is made and cooked to order. There is no "pizza by the slice" ready to go so when you order, plan to wait 5 minutes or so for your order to be cooked. Still, worth the wait. Blaze Pizza is also opening at Main Place Mall soon and looks like a larger location. Meanwhile, it's a great addition to Brea Mall. read more

Came here around 8:40 pm a couple days ago (Saturday night). The mall closes at 9pm & the guy who was cooking pizzas at the time had said they stop taking orders at 8:45 pm. So I said okay, and I noticed a mother and her other 2 children wanting to get food after and the same guy rolled his eyes and made a face having to go take their order. How unprofessional is that? I used to run a healthy restaurant and I would never tolerate that from any of my employees. Not to mention he also turned off the pizza oven right before taking my order. I then asked who was the manager at the time and they said they didn't have a manager? What do you mean?? This store is being run without any management? The only reason I'm giving this 2 stars is because the other employees were friendly and remained professional. Among all the build your own fast food pizza chains, Blaze is my favorite. The crust has a nice chew to it and it's not too thin nor too thick. Good ingredients although I wish they offered sun dried tomatoes. The staff is also very fast and efficient. Although there are a few issues. This location is in the food court of Brea Mall and it does its job but this location seems to burn the bottom of their crust about 40% of the time. They also don't make their crust look as neat here but it doesn't impact the taste or the look. On one occasion the regular and spicy red sauce must have gotten mixed together or switched because I didn't opt for spicy and my sauce was spicy. I took it to go otherwise I would have asked them to re-do the pizza. So if there was another blaze closer to me I would go there instead but since there isn't this will suffice, hence the 4 stars. read more

Great personalized pizzas built to order! Generous unlimited toppings. My custom favorite would be the red sauce mixed with white sauce, mozzarella, spinach, mushrooms, basil, sautéed onions, kalamata olives, pineapple, a sprinkle of oregano and topped with arugula after it is baked. We ordered 5 custom pizzas to take home as we usually do, but for some reason we all noticed that the pizza today wasn't as good as it normally is. I'm not sure what has changed. I still recommend the place because it was still good and it is way better than Pieology. read more

I've been to this Blaze 3 times now, the first time during the free pizza/grand opening event. At that time, I excused them for the skimpy toppings because I figured that it was free and they gave out a lot of pizzas. Now that I've been here more, I realized that's just how it is. If you want them to pile on toppings, you're just going to have to repeatedly say "more" until they get a clue. Or, you can head down to Pieology where they know not to waste time. Workers here are rather slow, especially this one girl that does the veggies. She moves like a snail, especially when shredding up a piece of artichoke. Ugh! As for the ingredients, the crust is nice and thin. It comes out of the oven toasted and crispy, just how I like it. Cheeses: there's about 5 to choose from. I like to keep it traditional with mozzarella and parmesan. Sauces: white sauce goes great for veggie pizzas, red for meaty or hawaiian pizzas. You can also ask for dollops of sauces after the pizza comes out of the oven, but I always forget to do that and they never ask you when you build your own. Meats: chicken lacks flavor; opt for the other meats. My fav is the sausage. They are extremely stingy on meat, so you will definitely have to tell the, to put more on. Veggies: the whole garlic is overpowering; go for crushed garlic instead (unless you're going for a strong garlic flavor). There's a good variety of vegetables--2 kinds of olives, cherry tomatoes, 2 versions of onions (raw and sauteed), pineapple, artichoke, peppers, mushroom, spinach, and basil are the main ones. Wait time in the oven is reasonable, and the workers who ring you up and finish up the pizzas are fast. Its some of the assemblers that are slow. read more

It was very slow to get my two pizzas and when I finally did get them, they were burnt. My daughter's plain cheese pizza was all black on the bottom, completely inedible.
