I'd have gone with another restaurant, except that I had already ditched one place for ineffective ordering app. Everything else was terrific: the pizza was ready early, the phone ordering went well, and the quality and price were both pleasant surprises. Only one size of pizza, I believe there is a choice of crust. Upscale for a fast-food pizza place. You could do worse. Heaven knows, I have done worse many times. When this restaurant first opened, it was amazing, however things have changed and I would not recommend to my friend, my casual acquaintance, or even my Frenemy to come here. The tables were filthy, the noise was extremely loud, pizza pan slamming on the counter, kids loudly screaming and chasing each other around, tables cleaned off by customers however still left with crumbs and never kept up clean by the staff. The staff, whom I once remember as being very warm and welcoming, seemed rushed, irritated, and unhappy to be working there. I noticed a level of uncleanliness that would not pass inspection if inspectors had been here. Ladles were used between many different sauces, cheese was wiped off and the same gloved hand was used to use different vegetables. One pizza was cooked with the metal pizza weight on top of it. To top it off, I was charged for two pizzas when I had only ordered one. When I let the cashier know about this mistake, he was genuinely angry. I think this restaurant was wonderful at one time, and it certainly has the potential to be wonderful again. The concept is a very good one. Pizza, pizza and pizza!!! I love me some pizza. Blaze does it right. We came here for an event and had a great experience. I did the choose your own toppings pizza. First of all I love the spicy sauce. It's so good. The crust is perfect. Kinda thin but not to. It was cooked to perfection. I took it easy on the toppings. Mozzarella, Pepperoni, spicy sauce, red onion, mushrooms and kalamata olives. Next time I'm loading it up with more tasty things. The staff is friendly and they did a great job making my pizza. The pizza comes out really fast and baked great. They have the best drinks too. The lemonade is great. Nobody answers the phone at the store so you end up on hold for 5-10 minutes then transferred to a dead voice mail and then you are hung up on. Zero customer service. The 3rd party company tells you to get on the Blaze Pizza website and go to "contact us" but that link doesn't work either. Our favorite fast fired custom pizza place in Austin. I love the custom choices, especially the unique Art Lover Signature Pizza. My 10 year old son loves his pepperoni pizza especially made with little cheese and great amount of pepperoni and sprinkled with oregano and sea salt. We all love the service and the atmosphere here. This place is a great concept and flow. I love the offerings because they are subway style custom ordered pizzas. I tried the new keto pizza. It was my reason for going there. It is the first chainnntinorwsent such and it wass I've was over priced. It was smaller is size than the flour base. The flavor profile was bland and bitter. I figured adding ssalt would have helped but it was over powered by the recipe off the keto crust. It didn't retain heat nor did it cheww similar to traditional pizza. It may be a good substitute if you can Tolerate it but don't think it is a replacement all together. The service is amazing and the toppings taste very fresh. Quick wait time. I ordered a lunch pizza, build your own... no meat pizza so veggie toppings should be plentiful... it was not. Goat cheese- very little! Out of arugula, but was not made aware of this until I took my car... then took pizza back in to ask for my arugula i added to the top! I get being out of things.... But every store has arugula on the shelves...so why don't you? Then the worst part... the balsamic glaze DRIZZLE! Really yummy HOWEVER, this is a final topper... was Poured all over the pizza.... A great way to get decent, fast pizza. Located off the 183 frontage road, just south of Home Depot. Lines can be long, but they move quickly. Unless noted, you can add all the toppings you want to their "build your own" pizza. Ingredients are good and fresh at Blaze. These are thinner, personal sized pizzas, so a few may be needed to feed a family greater than two people. The interior is friendly and cozy, with high ceilings so you don't feel cramped. But pizza is the main thing. I eat there every Wednesday and always look forward to it. I usually do not compare restaurants in reviews but it is hard to visit Blaze Fast Fire'd and Mod Pizza without comparing the two. Blaze is indeed fast and service is super friendly. One of the 5 employees even mentioned how much fun he has making pizzas and clearly enjoyed being there. Similar to Mod Pizza, Blaze Fast Fire'd has a set price for pizza (except for their simple cheese pizza with one topping which is less expensive), lists their nutritional information and you can watch your build to order pizza made right in front of you. I like Blaze's crispy crust more than Mod Pizza's crust but I wish Blaze offered smaller pizza option like Mod Pizza offers. After seeing many things on social media about Blaze Pizza, I was really excited to find out that one opened up in Austin! The drive was a little out of the way for me, but totally worth it. My friend and I went during lunch and it wasn't too busy. I have been to many pizza places similar to the style of Blaze where you pick your own toppings, and Blaze is my favorite so far. I got the red vine and white top pizzas since there was a BOGO promotion going on. Both were really delicious. They gave me an option to get the spicy red marinara sauce and I did not regret it at all. Although each pizza had a set of toppings that was included, I was still able to customize each pie to my liking. I highly recommend getting arugula on top! Each pie was finished in the wood fire oven, and actually didn't take that long to cook. We only waited a few minutes after paying. Blaze has my favorite crust in terms of the competition. It's a thin crust that has a bite to it. Also the toppings didn't fall off once you pick a slice like some of the other places I have been to. If you're not a soda fan like me, they have other options like agua fresca and lemonade. That's always a plus. The service was great. One of our coupons wasn't working, but the cashier let us use it anyways. In addition, they had some staff checking up on each customer and making sure everything was alright. My first experience here was at a Yelp Elite event where I was able to score some cheap Blaze shades that turn from white to orangish in the sunshine. Love my cheap sunglasses. As you know this is pizza fast food style. Choose one of their specialties or build your own for roughly $8. Toppings are free. Fast fired in like three minutes and pretty damn impressive for this kind of pizza. I don't get the bad reviews, especially the one whining about not getting enough cheese on his damn pie. News flash Einstein, toppings are free so open your silly little pie hole and say something like "Hey, can you put more cheese on that?". I mean seriously. You walk down the assembly line and pick your toppings all the while WATCHING the quantity they put on. Get real. As for the whiner that didn't like the spicy sauce. SPEAK THE FUCK UP!! Ask for another pie. I'm sure they'll make it right. I like Blaze. The concept is cool as fuck. I like that you get a personal thin crust pizza (which I can't eat all of) for $8 and get all the toppings you want. I got the classic red sauce, shredded mozz, goat cheese, ham, bacon, italian sausage, red onion, and, banana peppers. That's a heck of a pie for $8, and, what's better is if I was going there for lunch on a work day it is so doable since they cook the pizza's in like three minutes. When they say fast, they mean it. They fire up your pizza in 5 minutes. This is probably the best thing that's happened since instant oatmeal. The ordering takes place in an assembly line fashion, you're given a 11 inch crust to either make it your own or get a pre defined pizza. For the make it yourself style, there 3 sauces to choose from- spicy red, red, and creamy white. We obviously got the spicy red to live up to our Indian stereotypes, with mozzarella cheese, basil, olives , zucchini and jalapeños. Pizza in the oven and out before you know it,$7.99 for the whole thing, couldn't be better. The one thing I noticed was that the line only moves as fast as the people want it to. The more time you take to order, the longer you hold up the line and the pizza. This happens to be true of all the assembly line style fast food chains. Definitely watch out for the lunch rush, or pre-order and do everyone a favor if you know you'll take 3 hours to decide your toppings. The staff is surprisingly courteous for a fast food establishment. Also note there are no plates nor silverware (they have some plastic utensils) . You have to get your hands dirty to eat , the way God intended pizza to be consumed. Indoor and outdoor seating available , and the place is well lit. I highly recommend the spicy red sauce. Yum, yum, yummy! I have a new addiction...Blaze Pizza! It is so yummy! I had never heard of this place before. I saw the new place being built and got intrigued. Once it opened, I had to go check this place out because you know, PIZZA! I really liked the whole idea of this place as well. It was like going to Subway where you walk down the line and point to the items you want on your pizza. The choices are quite numerous and plentiful. The toppings all looked super fresh and colorful. There were several options for sauces, cheeses, veggies, and proteins. There must be at least 1000 combos you can make, if not more. They also have already designed pizzas, if the toppings are too overwhelming for you. The crust is the thin crust variety. It's light and has a slight crunch to it. It is great and very tasty. They also have a gluten free options for those that are interested. The best thing was my pizza was prepared, cooked, and boxed up in 5 minutes flat. That is some awesome pizza service right there. I very much enjoyed the pizza and had nothing left over afterwards because I am a pizza piggy. Oink! I would give this place a solid 3.5 stars but the staff here totally pushes them to a 4 star rating. The staff is super friendly, especially when they can tell it's your first time. The guy working the counter when I first visited could tell I was new and slightly confused, especially since I was at the wrong end of the counter trying to order, so he took me under his wing and showed me the light. He walked me through everything and was describing each step with the greatest of detail. He spoke about the pizza as if it was his first born child! His descriptions made you want the pizza right that second. He totally made the experience amazing. My pizzas were works of art created by this guy. Yummy. They also have a special dessert here. Went by Blaze Pizza to try it for the first time. I ordered online and once I arrived I was told the pizza would be cooked. I thought that was different. Anyway I waited for another 10 minutes. Finally the pizzas were done I got home and had a burnt pizza. What upset me the most is someone saw the pizzas was burnt and put it in there anyway. I called and the manager offered me coupons to come back. I asked for a refund and he told me he would have to call me back so he could ask his manager??? The service is prompt and everyone is extremely friendly AND it doesn't break the bank. Parking is available but there aren't too many in the immediate lot. For being a first timer, the staff was super friendly and attentive. My friend and I said it was our first time and the staff explained how the process worked. It is like the Subway of Pizza. If you build your own pizza the toppings are limitless. The staff were very attentive to your choices and really pay attention. They make sure they have the correct ingredients in your pizza. In addition they know how to make you laugh. I went with the build your own pizza. The prices were really reasonable. $7.95 for build your own or if you don't want to then you can pick their signature selections for the same price. They have a 1 topping pizza for $6.25 and a simple pie for $5. The pizza came out in less than 10 min (maybe about 5 min). Super fast! I asked to get a to go box because the pizzas are really a good size! But this place has half boxes for you for your leftovers. The taste of the pizza was really really good! I really enjoyed the taste, which is different from your typical Pizza Hut, Papa Johns, Domino's. I loved that I wasn't limited to the topping I could put on my pizza! I got the spicy red sauce, shredded mozzarella, ovalini mozzarella, applewood bacon, grilled chicken, pepperoni, smoke ham, black olives, cherry tomatoes, fresh basil, mushrooms, spinach, green bell peppers, and red onions. Okay, I went here once on Saturday and once on Sunday. (We went Sunday because we received a Coupon). The Atmosphere: The atmosphere is good. The music is WAY too loud. I have a hard time hearing as it is, but i couldnt hear the people call my name for my order, and i was raising my voice at my husband for us to be able to talk to each other over the music.... It makes it overwhelming. Turn it down a notch. The People: The people are SO kind. They write your name on your paper, so everyone down the Pizza line calls you by your name. Everyone has a smile. Everyone is on their game and is motivated. NOW THE FOOD: Very good food!!! It is very close to Pieology, but, the difference is that i could really TASTE the freshness of the Ricotta cheese at Blaze. They do dollops, so i do a mix of mozzarella and ricotta and it was yummy! Very impressed. The crust is also not overly greased like Pieology is, so GOOD JOB on that one guys! It makes it truly enjoyable to not be drenched in oils. I say overall, i would choose this place over Pieology. Prices are the same, but it seems that Blaze has a better quality of food... And much better (Happier) people working here. I will be coming back. I have already recommended friends. It is always nice to have a quality pizza instead of Dominoes or Pizza Hut's crap. Just went to blaze for the first time a week ago under a friend's recommendation and my grandma's great experiences. I returned 2 days after my first visit. So, you walk in and the music is very loud, and on top of that, all of the workers yell in unison "welcome to blaze." I personally think the music was a little too loud, on both visits. If they had turned it down, they wouldn't have had to be so loud as they welcome their customers. While you're enjoying your pizza, the employees will make sure everything is good and ask if you need anything, which I like. The food though, excellent. I wasn't sure how it worked at first, and the employee at the first section explained it well. It's comparable to a subway line. You go through and add what you want. At the end they put it in the oven, and within 3 mins or so, a great hot pizza is sitting right in front of you. My second visit, I got extra mozzarella cheese, and they didn't hesitate. They don't mind giving you more of a topping if you ask for it. The classic red sauce has good flavor and the Italian meatballs and sausage have great flavoring too. If you're looking to have a good welcoming atmosphere with good pizza, I highly recommend Blaze. Just beware of loud music. :) read more
