My first experience here was at a Yelp Elite event where I was able to score some cheap Blaze shades that turn from white to orangish in the sunshine. Love my cheap sunglasses. Make me channel ZZ Top they do. The Yelp event was a lot of fun and I really enjoyed the pizza, so, I couldn't wait to get back by here. This time I brought some new comers. As you know this is pizza fast food style. Choose one of their specialties or build your own for roughly $8. Toppings are free. Fast fired in like three minutes and pretty damn impressive for this kind of pizza. I don't get the bad reviews, especially the one whining about not getting enough cheese on his damn pie. News flash Einstein, toppings are free so open your silly little pie hole and say something like "Hey, can you put more cheese on that?". I mean seriously. You walk down the assembly line and pick your toppings all the while WATCHING the quantity they put on. Get real. As for the whiner that didn't like the spicy sauce. SPEAK THE FUCK UP!! Ask for another pie. I'm sure they'll make it right. I like Blaze. The concept is cool as fuck. I like that you get a personal thin crust pizza (which I can't eat all of) for $8 and get all the toppings you want. I got the classic red sauce, shredded mozz, goat cheese, ham, bacon, italian sausage, red onion, and, banana peppers. That's a heck of a pie for $8, and, what's better is if I was going there for lunch on a work day it is so doable since they cook the pizza's in like three minutes. Another shout out to the staff here. They are friendly as all get out. Sort of make you feel like you're friends. You know like "Hey! where do I know you from?". That was my experience today. I went in with my Blaze shades on just 'cause I was feeling all Blaze cool and I wanted to see if they would notice. Yep they noticed right away. The really nice dude at the register gave me a free smores pie 'cause I was sporting the shades. You can get a free smores pie by checking in on Yelp and buying a pizza. But I didn't let him know that I was a Yelper. This place is cool and would be a cool place to meet some friends and hang out a bit with pizza and beer. Which brings me to my only complaint. They serve beer in plastic. Such a disappointment. It's ok to serve typical piss beer in plastic, but, not quality beer like 512 and Guns & Oil. It fucks with the taste. read more

When they say fast, they mean it. They fire up your pizza in 5 minutes. This is probably the best thing that's happened since instant oatmeal. The ordering takes place in an assembly line fashion, you're given a 11 inch crust to either make it your own or get a pre defined pizza. For the make it yourself style, there 3 sauces to choose from- spicy red, red, and creamy white. We obviously got the spicy red to live up to our Indian stereotypes, with mozzarella cheese, basil, olives , zucchini and jalapeños. Pizza in the oven and out before you know it,$7.99 for the whole thing, couldn't be better. The one thing I noticed was that the line only moves as fast as the people want it to. The more time you take to order, the longer you hold up the line and the pizza. This happens to be true of all the assembly line style fast food chains. Definitely watch out for the lunch rush, or pre-order and do everyone a favor if you know you'll take 3 hours to decide your toppings. The staff is surprisingly courteous for a fast food establishment. Also note there are no plates nor silverware (they have some plastic utensils) . You have to get your hands dirty to eat , the way God intended pizza to be consumed. Indoor and outdoor seating available , and the place is well lit. I highly recommend the spicy red sauce. Finally the pizzas were done I got home and had a burnt pizza. What upset me the most is someone saw the pizzas was burnt and put it in there anyway. I called and the manager offered me coupons to come back. I asked for a refund and he told me he would have to call me back so he could ask his manager??? The toppings are fresh and numerous; there's bound to be something even for the pickiest of eaters. I usually take half my pizza home and they have the cutest half sized containers for my leftovers. The service is prompt and everyone is extremely friendly AND it doesn't break the bank. Parking is available but there aren't too many in the immediate lot. I went to Blaze Fast Fire'd Pizza for the first time today with a friend. I saw this new place as I drove into town from Houston to visit my family. Thought I would try it out. For being a first timer, the staff was super friendly and attentive. My friend and I said it was our first time and the staff explained how the process worked. It is like the Subway of Pizza. If you build your own pizza the toppings are limitless. The staff were very attentive to your choices and really pay attention. They make sure they have the correct ingredients in your pizza. In addition they know how to make you laugh. I went with the build your own pizza. The prices were really reasonable. $7.95 for build your own or if you don't want to then you can pick their signature selections for the same price. They have a 1 topping pizza for $6.25 and a simple pie for $5. The pizza came out in less than 10 min (maybe about 5 min). Super fast! I asked to get a to go box because the pizzas are really a good size! But this place has half boxes for you for your leftovers. The taste of the pizza was really really good! I really enjoyed the taste, which is different from your typical Pizza Hut, Papa Johns, Domino's. I loved that I wasn't limited to the topping I could put on my pizza! I got the spicy red sauce, shredded mozzarella, ovalini mozzarella, applewood bacon, grilled chicken, pepperoni, smoke ham, black olives, cherry tomatoes, fresh basil, mushrooms, spinach, green bell peppers, and red onions. Delicious! For my drink, i tried the blood orange lemonade and I really enjoyed it! The atmosphere is very modern and clean. Okay, I went here once on Saturday and once on Sunday. (We went Sunday because we received a Coupon). The Atmosphere: The atmosphere is good. The music is WAY too loud. I have a hard time hearing as it is, but i couldnt hear the people call my name for my order, and i was raising my voice at my husband for us to be able to talk to each other over the music.... It makes it overwhelming. Turn it down a notch. The People: The people are SO kind. They write your name on your paper, so everyone down the Pizza line calls you by your name. Everyone has a smile. Everyone is on their game and is motivated. NOW THE FOOD: Very good food!!! It is very close to Pieology, but, the difference is that i could really TASTE the freshness of the Ricotta cheese at Blaze. They do dollops, so i do a mix of mozzarella and ricotta and it was yummy! Very impressed. The crust is also not overly greased like Pieology is, so GOOD JOB on that one guys! It makes it truly enjoyable to not be drenched in oils. I say overall, i would choose this place over Pieology. Prices are the same, but it seems that Blaze has a better quality of food... And much better (Happier) people working here. I will be coming back. I have already recommended friends. It is always nice to have a quality pizza instead of Dominoes or Pizza Hut's crap. The only reason i deducted a star was because the music being so loud killed the experience. I like being able to talk to my husband when he is sitting in front of me... Just went to blaze for the first time a week ago under a friend's recommendation and my grandma's great experiences. I returned 2 days after my first visit. So, you walk in and the music is very loud, and on top of that, all of the workers yell in unison "welcome to blaze." I personally think the music was a little too loud, on both visits. If they had turned it down, they wouldn't have had to be so loud as they welcome their customers. While you're enjoying your pizza, the employees will make sure everything is good and ask if you need anything, which I like. The food though, excellent. I wasn't sure how it worked at first, and the employee at the first section explained it well. It's comparable to a subway line. You go through and add what you want. At the end they put it in the oven, and within 3 mins or so, a great hot pizza is sitting right in front of you. My second visit, I got extra mozzarella cheese, and they didn't hesitate. They don't mind giving you more of a topping if you ask for it. The classic red sauce has good flavor and the Italian meatballs and sausage have great flavoring too. If you're looking to have a good welcoming atmosphere with good pizza, I highly recommend Blaze. Just beware of loud music. :) read more

3/4/16 Friday. Ordered the Artist Favorite and BBQ Chicken pizzas. Ordering was a pain as it is very loud inside (cooks yelling back and forth; customers crammed into small dining space trying to talk; and obnoxious background music that totally distorted everything and should be eliminated as you cannot here it anyway). I noticed other customers having the same trouble. It was hard for customers to communicate with staff on the other side of the glass and orders had to be repeated. Also felt rushed. First pass of ingredients was thin. Had to ask for more. Ingredients seem to be of good quality. Super friendly and bubbly staff. Pizzas came out fast as promised. Loved the thin crisp crust and the flavors were good. Disappointed with overall experience as it over stimulating. I will stick with Pieology in Cedar Park at 1431 at Discovery Blvd. Came back 5/14/16 to give them another chance. It was a much better experience. Less yelling back and forth. Pizzas were really good. Really like the crisp crust. They could still do away with the background music as it adds nothing. Glad I came back with my family. I'll definitely return. read more

What a success story! My first review of this place blasted it for poor service and poor execution. Since then, they re-trained the staff and the food is great. The service has dramatically improved and the staff is incredibly responsive. The ingredients are still as fresh as ever. The bar part of this pizza is the crust. These guys perfected the wood fired char and crust recipe. I do not usually get excited about chain restaurants, but the quality control at this place provides a continually great product and amazing service Most importantly for the brand, they have a process that allows them to improve quickly from big mistakes with a speedy recovery. Let's face it, every business is going to have it's issues, but the ability to recovery differentiates a great business from the good one. I can't believe this place has 4 stars on yelp. From beginning to end, this Blaze experience was a nightmare. You can try to order online, but one glitch and the entire system fails. call in to order and it turns out to be a call center with a rude woman who is using the same useless website that we tried. Moving on... Pizza was cold and undercooked, the meatballs smelled old and bad. Cheese was... limited, to put it nicely. My boyfriend and our dog got sick from the meatballs. We were not greeted upon entry to pick up, despite the overkill of employees working at the time. With all the amazing places to eat in Austin, don't waste your time with Blaze. The pizza was better than expected with the fast-fired oven, one issue I always have with pizza is that the sauce had too much of a tomato flavor however this was not the case it had a perfect flavor that didn't get to me. My boyfriend ordered the bbq chicken and I got the Meat Eater both had a great taste. The pizza typically is thin crust so that's a bit different but it still has a good flavor to the crust. This was our first time ordering and we opted for an online order. To lay out the issues: Husband showed up and indicted the order was told to wait to be called 6:20pm Waiting... waiting... My understanding was that the pizza was supposed to be prepped and ready to "fire". Husband noticed two boxes that had been there since he arrived, sitting while many other customers names were called and they collected their pizza. He noted it was very loud and hard to hear and staff seemed harried and not concerned about his patronage. I prefer veggie pizzas, and was pleased to see their wonderful assortment of fresh vegetables. First, you choose the crust - thin or regular. You then add white sauce or red sauce. I chose red. They offer an assortment of cheeses such as mozzarella, blue cheese, Parmesan, etc. I chose thin crust and mozzarella cheese Then my favorite part - choosing the vegetables. I added onions, roasted red peppers and green peppers, mushrooms, tomatoes, black olives and Kalamata olives, spinach and light olive oil. YUM! I wasn't very hungry so I ate a slice and brought the rest home. Pizza! Pizza! Oh man, these folks know their way around a pie. This was my first time visiting Blaze, and let me say I was highly impressed! An extensive menu, you can go as wild, or as mild as you want with your personal pie. So many choices. I decided something off the suggested topping menu, so I chose a BBQ chicken pizza. Even though there is suggested ingredients, this is still your show. You can keep all the items, sub out others, add even more--the possibilities are limitless. They had two crust options, thin and thicker. I chose the thicker crust and it held up just great under all the toppings. I added roasted garlic, spicy red sauce, and mozzarella to my BBQ chicken pie, and I was so happy I did. The pizzas are baked to perfection in about 5 minutes. That gives you ample time to figure out which aqua frescas, or Blue Sky soda you'd like. Black Cherry was my pick! This was definitely one of the better pizza experiences I've had. We've been to this location a couple of times and we've always had a great experience. The staff is very friendly and they are happy to answer any questions about the toppings and accommodate the most outlandish pizza combinations. Those kind of things happen when you let folks make their own pizzas. The toppings are fresh and really tasty. I like their spicy red sauce but there are several others to try too. You can even get a thicker crust now, which is a cool addition. The process is quick and efficient and the pie cooks in about 3 minutes. It comes out hot and gooey and delicious. They even have salads if you just must add some leafy green option to your meal. They have some fantastic beverages to go with the pizza. Of course they have beer on draft and bottle. They also have some great lemonades including their world famous blood orange lemonade which is as good as advertised. The crust is burnt and tasteless with poor texture, the sauce acidic and cheap, and the toppings sparse. The only "good" thing? The two pizzas were ready quickly and were only $18. Stay away from Blaze. Ignore the absurdly high rating on Yelp. You'd be better off going to Dominos, Pizza Hut, Papa Johns, or any other generic takeout pizza chain than going here. read more
