An overall great experience. We had a Wedding for two here and it was just amazing. The staff really took care of us and made us feel special. The accommodations were amazing! We stayed in the Ice House cottage and really enjoyed the endless amenities including fireplace, heated three season porch, kitchen, living room, 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The food and service are 5 star quality. Here's hoping that the new management will continue to make the Blantyre a special experience and keep investing in touches of modern technology and hopefully add a bar in the main building.

A new Mother's Day tradition has been started for me and my fiancé! We attended the Mother's Day brunch. Upon pulling up to door our car was valet parked to keep us out of rain. As we walked in door, we are offered champagne mimosas before seating. We were seated in the renovated wood paneled dining room and bar area with a roaring fire next to us. Unlike buffet style brunches we enjoyed the variety of choices of the prix fixed menu. We also enjoyed the five star table service. Our first course I had the avocado toast with quails egg, a Michelin star worthy plate. My fiancé had the salmon mouse in cone. Both epic creations by chef. My entree was the salmon and egg Benedict and my fiancé had the cheddar omelet. We shared each other plates and loved both. Our meal concluded with a plate of decadent desserts. Ok, I have been at many Michelin Star restaurants and this hidden gem will be found soon so get here before you can't get in once the foodies find this place. Chef Jeremy, Thank you for a Mother's Day never to be forgotten. We will be back.

Great great great bistro!!! Came here for lunch, great food and great service. Would highly recommend. Service is attentive and efficient. They want to make your dining experience pleasurable and it shows. Will def go back!!

Went to Cafe Boulud at Blantyre and the meal was spectacular. It was our first time out to a restaurant since Covid and we felt very safe. Everyone wore masks and the tables were a comfortable distance. We had the vichyssoise and tomato salad to start and the flavors were fresh and yummy. Then we had the burger and branzino which were just as delicious. The deserts were the topping on a really memorable evening. And we can't forget the beautiful cocktails and wine. You must go...

I was skeptical about the food but was wowed and pleasantly surprised!!!! Everything was locally sourced, healthy and delicious!!!! There was a big snowstorm coming the day I was supposed to arrive and I wanted to see if I could shift my trip by a day (arriving the day after the storm and staying until a day later than I was originally planning to.) They were very accommodating and allowed me to shift my stay. However I was charged a higher rate since I initially booked during a special promotion that was no longer going on. Whaaaat? So my choices are to keep my original reservation and risk life and limb driving to the Berkshires during a snowstorm or pay extra to adjust the dates when they clearly had the availability anyway? Not nice Miraval. Arriving home I realized I left two bathing suits in the bathroom. I was able to submit a request to get them back, but the shipping charges ranged from $25 to almost $60. I don't think I paid that much for the original bathing suits. Come on, really?? I guess it encourages people not to forget stuff but it feels a little rip offy. I don't know, there were just a couple little things like that I noticed. Second, the pavlova dessert which I have literally been dreaming about all year, got way smaller. Still delicious, but minuscule. Why mess with a good thing? See the attached photo to see what I mean. So disappointing. Anyway, I still love it there and I will still return, but it felt a little like they are cutting some corners to save a buck and it's too bad. It costs a very lot to go. Let the people indulge themselves with large pavlovas! The specialists and activities were still fantastic, the spa was still relaxing, and the food was still so tasty. But Miraval I know you can do better. Just make a couple small changes and you'll be back up to 5 stars in my opinion!

We knew we needed a place for 150 people and we knew we wanted it to be drivable for both family and friends in upstate New York and Boston.   We stumbled upon The Lake House Guest Cottages of the Berkshires after months of searching, but the only wedding we had seen hosted there was inside the main cottage. Reluctantly, we decided it was probably too small for us.   Fast forward another month.  Randomly one night, my wife and I both separately pulled up the venue again and I said, "We need to just call them. Maybe they have some grass we can put a tent on." After a couple of email exchanges, Eric, the owner, and Cory, the grounds keeper, invited us out to see the space and were instantly sold. The beautiful grounds, the stunning cottages (or as we like to call them, "mini mansions"), THE VIEW.   Not only did they have four cottages on site where guests could stay, but they also had a field where they had placed a tent for previous weddings that could hold up to 150 guests. We soon found out that over the winter months they would be adding three additional cottages for guests to stay and a seasonal tent to be used for weddings throughout the summer and fall. Needless to say, we booked it.   A couple months into planning, LHGC added a wedding coordinator to their awesome team.  We connected with Kelsey instantly, discussing plans we had made and things we had coming down the line. She was always available if we had a question or concern. Come time to do our walk through before the wedding, we laid out the entire day with the help of Kelsey and our caterer.  We walked away knowing we had the dream team on board.   When our weekend approached, all the new additions were complete and the space was more beautiful than ever. We had our rehearsal brunch Friday morning and welcome party Friday night, both of which allowed for the caterers to take full advantage of the catering kitchen in the main cottage. Kelsey and Cory were completely accommodating and there from start to finish to help with anything we needed.   Our guests arrived sporadically from Friday morning through the evening and spent time playing lawn games, kayaking and paddleboarding on the lake, and enjoying each other's company.  It was so nice to have the entire grounds at our disposal.   On our wedding day, it was just the same. Everything went off seamlessly. Kelsey and Cory were both there if something came up, made sure that set up was perfect, ran the ceremony and reception smoothly and effortlessly.   Our wedding was perfect. It was everything we could have dreamed it to be and more.   Thank you, LHGC, for welcoming us to the family!  We look forward to spending many anniversaries with you on Pontoosuc Lake!

The appliances and bathroom are a bit dated but should be fine for most people. Some spots could use a better cleaning though. The beds are at least comfy. The location is great as it is only 7 minutes away from Lee. Even better is that High Lawn Farm is 3 minutes away! Anyways if you keep your expectations in check the place is fine. It was comfortable and perfect for what I needed. The bed was definitely comfortable. Had all the kitchen utensils and supplies you need. Nice kitchen table. The worst for me was there was no hot water. I had a treatment at Kripalu (very close by) and I really needed a long hot shower. It as barely warm. That alone was a deal breaker a it was March. I'd stay here again if the hot water was better.

Very friendly at check-in and answered all my questions during my stay, always with a smile on her face. My room was beautiful. I chose room 25 (Vivian) on the 2nd floor of the main house. While it's a small room, it was cozy and quite lovely. I spent some quiet time writing at the desk, and later enjoyed the fireplace with a Duraflame log provided by the inn. They also provide a free bottle of wine, which was waiting for me in my room. The next morning, hot breakfast was waiting in the dining area downstairs. There were several options, which I appreciate having a choice. The pumpkin French toast casserole, seasoned potatoes, and bacon were superb. A great way to start the day! We were a bit apprehensive when we heard about the new ownership, but thankfully, much of the charm remains intact. The bar now uses a Bartesian machine, which makes good cocktails, though I can see it becoming cumbersome if multiple guests arrive at once. Breakfast is always wonderful with a variety of entrées and sides. My only wish? That they bring back the specialty coffee machine--I miss those cappuccinos! Fortunately, their excellent selection of Harney & Sons teas helps make up for it. Already looking forward to our next visit!
