Most bland Mexican food I have ever had in my life. I thought since I was in Arizona the flavors would be more authentic, especially for the price of $20 for the smallest tacos you have ever seen. If you are from an area with decent Mexican food I would stay away. The tacos are tiny and everything had little flavor. The only reason this place doesn't get 1 star is because the staff provided great service and the margarita was good. The food came out super quick. Which would be a bonus if the food was any good. I think they should spend a little longer trying to put some flavor in the food instead of just cranking out meals as quickly as possible. Blanco is appropriately named. Mexican-ish food with little spice and only slightly more flavor. Somehow, the pork tacos managed to be both dry and greasy at the same time and the salsa approached something that could have been quite good until you realized that there was no appreciable spice (basically, it was marinara with cilantro in place of parsley). The rice, also white, picked up a southwest flair with the addition of...corn and cilantro...and no spices. I have to imagine that a few tequilas would make all of this slightly better, but as I was having a coke, I was sober enough to realize I had been had. While having a not-so-great airport travel experience, Blanco Tacos and Tequila came to save the day (morning.) We were seated right away and ordered online using their online ordering system. Our waitress was incredibly friendly and attentive (cheers to her for her upcoming wedding!) The Skinny Marg was perfection (and you choose your own tequila.) We ate at The Scottsdale Location, had made reservations in case. We sat out on the Patio, watching the people walking, cars going by, had a lovely hostess. We were greeted by our server Michael who brought us chips & salsa was really tasty. We ordered a couple of drinks with water & asked Michael for suggestions. We settled on the Machaca Chimi with red sauce, black beans & Rice. I ordered the Carne Asada Tacos, rice & street corn. I have never had street corn first time and if that's what it taste like I will be ordering more. we loved that the rice was sweet with corn and maybe cilantro in it, loved the corn tortillas as well. We think this place was okay, but the quality is much lower than even chipotle. We ordered the chips with queso, one drink, and 2 kinds of tacos, and it came to be more than $70. The quantity was pretty small in comparison to other places, but it's a decent airport meal. I'm not a fan of the price though. The food came out incredibly fast at least. We got three beers and a wine. The food coming out of the kitchen looked so great we ordered some guac and chips ($15)I really liked the salsa that it came with but I found the guac disappointing overall. It had huge chunks of avocado in it that hadn't been smashed and made it impossible to scoop with the chips that would break. I ended up asking for a fork so I could finished eating it. I also didn't think it had much flavor at all, it seemed to be missing salt, Citrus or even flavor really it just seemed very bland. I would definitely try some other food here but I would probably skip the guacamole. At 10 o'clock at night this place was still a little busy. I would've eaten food here. The margaritas are all ice and when you ask for a reasonable beverage, the bartender (tall man working lunch on 8/18/2023) is a huge a**hole about it. Menu says they serve fish tacos but the kitchen doesn't have any fish. White wine is served warm. This place owes me $50+ for this "lunch." I don't like spicy food, but this salsa had no spice to it. The chips were good. I decided to get the chicken burrito bowl. They didn't skimp out on the chicken. It was good. It came with rice, beans, guac, sour cream, and the rest of the fixings. Was it worth $16, nope. Did I mind paying for it, no since they got me away from the general seating area, and it kept me distracted while waiting for the three hours I was delayed. I didn't stay the whole three hours, but spent at least 45 minutes enjoying my meal and glass of wine. There wasn't much interaction with the staff as they only came by to drop off your food.
