A few of the places recommended to us had already closed, but I had read that Junkyard had an amazing pulled pork BBQ sandwich. Since we definitely weren't dressed for anything fancy, I told my fiancé that a brewery sounded perfect. When we pulled up and saw that the place was veteran-owned, it immediately felt meant to be. My fiancé is a veteran as well, so that made it even more special. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly by the staff and told to sit wherever we liked. We looked around for a bit but eventually settled at the bar -- and I'm so glad we did. While we were there, we ended up chatting with the bartenders and other patrons, and everyone made us feel genuinely welcome. After such a long day on the road, it felt less like stopping at a brewery and more like walking into a place full of friends. Great food, great atmosphere, and even better people. The sandwich was absolutely delicious--fresh ingredients, great flavor, and made just how we like it. If we had to give one tiny piece of constructive feedback, it would be to space out the ingredients a bit more evenly so every bite has a little bit of everything. But honestly, that's just nitpicking--because overall, it was fantastic. The music playing was a great vibe--fun, upbeat, and made the place feel welcoming. And the view from this location? Unreal. Definitely not something you expect from a Subway, but it made the whole meal feel like an experience. The staff were quick, efficient, and polite--got us in and out with zero hassle. Plus, they had such great energy--hype team vibes all around! They were cheering each other on, throwing out "You go girl!" and hyping each other up like they were working a red carpet, not a sandwich line. It made the whole atmosphere feel genuinely fun and positive. And can we talk about the soda machine? Fully stocked, everything was bubbly and flavorful (which, let's be honest, is not always the case these days). Highly recommend this location if you're in the area. Clean, well-run, and just genuinely enjoyable. We'll definitely be back next time we're nearby!
