Placed an order and all was fine until the young girl who called my name for food pick up decided to throw an attitude. I asked her if I had a drink coming or did the person not hear me when I wanted a meal. This was a real question, with no attitude behind the question. She stated "it is a meal, what is your drink?" In a stern cynical tone.. with an eye roll. Told her to just keep the drink and I walked out. A few of us were in Grants for work and are not NM locals so we never heard of this place. We all got the NM Burger and you can't go wrong with that choice. The staff were a nice group of folks, staying busy cleaning and stocking since we were the only ones there at the moment (5p on a Tuesday). Arriving around 10 am the staff is busy with breakfast, but always breaks from burritos to make me a green chile cheese burger. The grill chef makes the best burger in the chain. read more

Service is spotty depending on the crew but always be polite and your order will come out right (eventually...) Was worth the stop especially if you're looking for a hatch chili fix on something local to NM. Being a product of SoCal and appreciating a burger had to try this spot. I went to the lotaburger in Grants NM, they opened a little late and then it took 20 minutes to get our food. we ordered two breakfast burritos. My auntie got a sausage burrito with extra green chili and they didn't even add that. I got a bacon burrito with red chili and they didn't add enough sauce in any of the burritos I'm so disappointed. Theres been times I go in the afternoon and evening and then the burritos are too salty. I am very disappointed it makes me not want to even eat at lotaburger anymore. read more

So I'm driving through New Mexico and I'm reading about local places to go cuz you know: when in Rome. So everyone says: you have to try this place in NM. I've heard some outlets are better than others so I picked a "good" location and placed my order. It was taken fast enough and I was prepared for the wait as I was for-warned. I got a lotaburger with the hatch peppers. Wait, actually that's what I ordered but not what I got. They didn't put the peppers on it. I got the most MEH burger I've ever eaten in my entire life. If I had eaten that burger in a hospital cafeteria I may think: you know that's not half bad. Not sure if I had a meh experience or their food is meh. The seasoned fries had promise if they were served hot. Anyway, long and short of it: If you're in NM, don't bother with this place. read more

Stopped here while RVing from Albuquerque to Flagstaff. Ambiance was a typical diner/fast food to-go diner. We decided to order 2 Lotaburgers and 2 breakfast burritos with hatch green Chile salsa, seasoned curly fries, onion rings and a peach shake. Service was fast and food was filling - just what we wanted! The batter on the onion rings were great! Sooo Yumm - Season fries were good but slightly soggy. Boys finished their burgers fast - it's like watching Shaggy and Scooby eat Scooby snacks! The burritos felt like they weighed a pound - can't go wrong with eggs, sausage, hash browns and cheese wrapped in a tortilla! Peach shake was probably made with canned peaches (but who doesn't like canned peaches?!) - I enjoyed the peach flavor and its thick consistency! Definitely a good stop for us! read more

Order was wrong, missing an entire meal- which I left without because the girl running the counter was so incredibly rude. I noticed the missing fries, which she threw on the counter when I asked about. The food had been sitting in the drawer for so long that it is ice cold upon arriving home (a 5 minute drive). We just moved here and this place was very recommended. Tried to call to at least get refunded for the missing meal, but they will not answer the phone. Complete waste of nearly $45. i've eaten at blake's in a lot of places in NM and i like/tolerate its consistency. It's never really fast, even if you are the only people in there (which only rarely happens), it's always pretty good, and it seems like there are always way too many people behind the counter. Don't do it! We had a 30 minute wait for two burgers and one fries. The food sat on their count for a while so it was cold and they forgot the cheese on the burgers. We sent back and they opened burgers and slapped the thinnest piece of cheese I have ever seen and did make more fries for us..... the burgers of course were cold and tasteless and the fries had absolutely no potato flavor at all but they were hot. What a pleasant surprise! I was not expecting much but after my visit to El Malpais I wanted to grab lunch and there's not exactly a lot of options nearby other than fast food. I read that Blake's was a New Mexican chain so I figured I'd give it a try as long as I was going to have fast food - but it was much better than fast food! The burger was quite large and tasty.
