Waist of time and false information leads me to write this review. Let's face it folks, the only really good beer they brew is Bennie Kendrick. Saw that Blaker just brewed a fresh batch and will probably be their last due to Bennie moving out of state so I called to see if they have cans or are doing growler fills. Girl answers the phone saying no cans as they only have it on tap and can do fills. So... we drive 30+ minutes with empty growlers in tow, step up to the counter and ask for a fill of Bennie's finest. Girl says ok, picks up the phone and walks away. Apparently she had to call boss man for permission and he said no. I explained the story of how we called to confirm and she tells me she didn't speak with anyone about growler fills and asked the other girl working who denied it as well. Once I pull out my phone to show I actually called she changes her tone and apologizes for the miscommunication. She asked if I wanted a growler fill of something else, a pint or even gift card. No, I want what I came for! Keep your pints and gift cards. We are living in the golden age of craft beers and these cats aren't the only ones brewing beer. I got plenty of other options and don't mind driving for good beer (Monkish, Slice, Russian River...). I'm crossing these guys off my list. read more

I was helping my son move to Modesto and we decided to do lunch at Blaker Brewery. We arrived at 11:30 and the website said they did not open till noon. We waited in the parking lot and went in at 11:50 and the place was 2/3 full and people were eating tacos and watching football. We tasted a few beers and closed a bourbon barrel aged imperial stout and ordered the all you can eat tacos. My son and I loved the rich full bodied beer. The tacos were also quite tasty. I then ordered a brown ale and my son an IPA. We tried a pineapple milkshake ipa. It was good would go good with the el pastor tacos We will be back again They had most of there beers in 4 packs to go read more

Great brewery with some of the best local beers and awesome service. My personal favorites are the Plowed Under IPA 7% ABV and the Safety Meeting Double IPA 8% ABV. They have a great location with plenty of seating and a very nice outdoor area to hang out and drink in the fresh air. Plenty of games to play including cornhole as well as others. Always have music playing, sometimes with live music. Thursday's has $10 all you can eat tacos and $5 a pint on the beer with $10 flights. You can buy 4 packs or growlers to go as well. This place was really nice! My only negative on it was their sample tray, you get 4 samples which is fine. One of their beers that has a "whiskey" taste..you'll need to pay an extra 3 dollars if you want that one included in your tray. The 4 samples are $10, so if you want to try that one it's an extra $3 so you'd be paying $13 for it which I think is a bit much compared to dust bowl. You can't order the pizza inside because they aren't part of the "blaker brewing" you need to go outside to get it (which isn't an issue, just thought I'd share that with you all) Enjoy! P.s. They had a food vendor here, it was a nice time. The food was freshly made and very flavorful, especially for a vegan meal.

Loved this place. Tons of seating, a lot of games to choose from, and a couple cornhole boards outside. There's some friendly cats that just want pets and a taco truck. Outdoor seating is pretty nice and the crowd and staff was cool too. Pints are $5, flights are $10, and there's actually good air flow in there so you're not overheating. Zero stars if I could! Beer was not good. The reason I wouldn't visit again is because we felt discriminated against from a certain employee. The ladies restroom was closed and there was a sign posted on the ladies restroom door stating to use the employee restroom in the back. There was a few ladies ahead of me in line and they were able to peacefully use the restroom including myself. My partner who is female was questioned by an employee named Raul about using the restroom simply because of the way she looks, even after explaining the reason she was using the "employee restroom" he followed her to the front in a very unwelcoming way. None of the other ladies were questioned! I will make sure to never visit and always recommend any of our friends to stay away. read more

What a great vibe! I attended the opening night and was impressed by how the rustic brewery vibe was captured. Plenty of space to sit and enjoy a beer! Our new favorite dip in! This is a great spot to pop in for a quick one or enjoy an afternoon ball game over a few. The staff is friendly, the beer is tasty and the location just outside of Modesto enough to make a local feel like he skipped town for the day. No shade on my city, but this is a solid change of scenery from the usual spots downtown. The Dank Olson is a great hoppy west coast and I recommend giving that a go. Thursday is 5$ pint night!
