10/10 I had a great experience with this company from start to finish. They completed a panel upgrade, and everything was done professionally and efficiently. Jaryd was absolutely amazing! He was knowledgeable ,professional, kind, and took the time to answer all of my questions. He made sure everything was done right and left the work area clean when he was finished. It's hard to find someone who genuinely cares about the quality of their work, and definitely shows. I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for electrical work. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again ! read more

Travis is great. He is timely and reliable. I work with them a lot and would happily recommend them to other contractors in the area

Travis showed up on time after I called him about a couple of wall outlets that were malfunctioning. He texted me to let me know he was on his way and showed up right on time. He was able to trouble shoot the three outlets in my garage that were not working. He found the GFI outlet that was the root of the problem and replaced it. He keeps supplies in his truck so he doesn't have to waste your time and money on running to the hardware store. He only billed me for the time as he had an extra outlet. He is professional, explains everything and is very efficient...doesn't fuss around wasting time that is for sure. I will definitely use him again for a bigger job that I showed him. read more

I'm trying to imagine something creative, colorful, even pithy, to say about a very prompt and wonderful electrician, but I'm having some mental resistance! Travis and Dillon ignited a whole watt of joy. They diagnosed my ancient fridge's circuit board blowout faster than you can say "short circuit" and fixed a miswired outlet without a hitch. They really know how to amp up their game. If you're in need of an electrician who can charge through your problems with shocking efficiency, look no further. I highly recommend Blackwood Electric--this electrical service is a real live wire! For service that will leave you positively lit up, check out Blackwood Electric--you can't go wrong! read more

Travis did several different electrical projects for us, Ceiling fans, under cabinet kitchen lights, outlet for an above stove microwave, new light switches and covers, etc. Were there any little problems ? of course there was a little glitch here or there but life ain't perfect folks. We've bought brand new homes and had problems. The one star people need to get over them selves. Maybe they're the problem. read more

Finally, a contractor I can trust. After spending a fortune fixing practically everything in my new, lemon, home in the past year, I considered myself very lucky to run into Travis, owner of Blackwood Electric. Travis keeps his territory locally in Oceanside to keep overhead costs low. He gave me honest opinions on what needs to be done and what's not. He runs his crews efficiently, punctual, and provides great services for great price. Very positive attitude, easy going, and willing to help at all times. A fine, honest young man that is rare to find in the construction field. Thank you, Travis! Thank you! read more

Travis took my call quickly and did a quick video chat to go over the issue and provide me a quote. He sent one of his employees out the following day to complete the job in an efficient and timely manner. They were both very professional and reasonably priced. I was given quotes from competitors with them not even taking a look at what I was talking about, which were way overpriced. Glad I got ahold of Blackwood! Thanks guys! read more

Blackwood Electric is a great local company and I would highly recommend using them for all your electrical needs. We recently hired them to put can lights throughout our home, as well as some statement pedant lights, a ceiling fan and replace all switches with dimmer switches. They are a local small business, and Travis the owner is extremely knowledgable and experienced. He has a small team who is also knowledgable and great. They were timely, had great communication, good prices and did really clean work. They paid alot of attention to detail, were considerate of our home, and most importantly their work came out beautiful. I would most definitely refer them out and hire them again. Thank you Travis and the Blackwood Electric crew. read more

As a homeowner and someone who has been in the real estate industry for 10+ years, I've never worked with a more reliable, honest, and knowledgeable electrician. Travis really knows his stuff! He will let you know upfront about any costs, and keeps you posted throughout the process. The work they provide is superior but just prices are fair. I will never work with or recommend anyone else! read more

Don't use this flake. He broke my ceiling fan and my kitchen drawer, wasn't even smart enough to know when he turned power off/on he needed to reset fans.  Tried to get him to come back over after spending $800 with him he no showed, made excuse about his mommy needing something (not medical). I'm all for helping our moms but he did this to me twice, I hope mom's paying the bills.  No ACCOUTABILITY or DEPENDABILITY!  Would have gotten a lot of referrals but have informed North Coast Village to not refer him or ok him for the list. He cost me an additional $200 to fix his poor work. Electrician just laughed and shook his head! Bad mistake, I thought he was going to be good! read more

Outstanding service. Needed an additional electrical outlet in our garage. Blackwood was quick to provide a fair quote and schedule an appointment just a couple of days later. The job was done quickly, effectively and nicely. When we had a minor tripped wire issue after the fact (may not have been their fault) they quickly came back out/same day and fixed it...no hassle, no charge. Highly recommend. read more
